NBA MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander Just Gifted His Teammates Rolexes
When Shai Gilgeous-Alexander wins, he makes sure his teammates shares in his victory, too. The Oklahoma City Thunder point guard gifted his entire team Rolex watches, among other goodies, to celebrate the MVP award he snagged this season in the NBA, Hypebeast reported. And his squad was all too happy to receive the present: Thunder forward Jaylin Williams took to Instagram to show off the Rollies on the players' wrists, with a smiling Gilgeous-Alexander in the background. Advertisement More from Robb Report As for the models in question, it appears as though Williams is donning a two-toned Sea-Dweller in Oystersteel and yellow gold, featuring a Cerachrom bezel insert in black ceramic (priced at $20,300, per the Rolex website). The other timepieces seem to be the Datejust 36, with both a Jubilee bracelet ($14,400) and an Oyster bracelet ($13,650) on display, a Sky-Dweller in Oystersteel and white gold ($16,600), and a Submariner Date with a royal-blue dial ($17,600). Gilgeous-Alexander didn't stop there. The Canadian also gifted his fellow teammates iPhones, Beats by Dr. Dre headphones, and custom Canada Goose jackets with an embroidered patch commemorating the Thunder's 68-14 regular season record. In total, the gift basket is worth well over $10,000, according to Hypebeast. It seems like for the star point guard, the price was well worth it. Advertisement 'I can't say enough how much you guys mean to me, and not only as a basketball player, but as family,' Gilgeous-Alexander said in his MVP acceptance speech, according to Complex. 'I know you guys know that we do everything together, on and off the court, we do shopping, we eat. You guys are really like my brothers . . . Without you guys, none of this would be possible. I want you guys to know that this award is your award, too.' This isn't the first time an MVP win has spawned a Rolex. James Harden gifted teammate Joel Emid a $41,500 Day-Date 40 in Everrose gold when the latter snagged the most valuable player award for the 2033-23 season with the Philadelphia 76ers—including a custom '2023 MVP' engraved on the caseback. Of course, presents for teammates appears in other sports, too: Patrick Mahomes gave his offensive line what appeared to be a stainless-steel Datejust 41 with a white dial and Jubilee bracelet for Christmas last year. We'll have to see if the NBA Finals MVP doles out an equally lavish gift to his squad. Best of Robb Report Sign up for RobbReports's Newsletter. BMW Just Unveiled the Most Powerful Rear-Wheel Drive M Car Yet
BMW's smallest sports car just got a serious power boost. The German marque has just unveiled the new 2026 M2 Competition Series (CS). The high-performance variant lacks a manual transmission option that is one of the base model's most attractive features, but it makes up for it by being the most powerful rear-wheel drive M car you can buy. More from Robb Report An L.A. Home With Ties to Leonardo DiCaprio and Adrian Grenier Can Now Be Yours for $25 Million Here's How You Can Attend the Premiere of Brad Pitt's 'F1' Movie Jefferson's Just Added a Straight Rye Whiskey to Its Core Lineup of Bourbons Since its introduction in 2016, the M2 has carved out a niche for itself as the enthusiast's M car of choice. Look at the second-generation CS features and specs, and it's easy to see why. It may be compact—it measures just over nine feet bumper-to-bumper—but it's also a beast. The latest range-topping model comes with an upgraded version of the car's twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six that produces 523 horsepower and 479 ft lbs of torque. That's 50 hp more than the standard M2 and 79 hp more than the last-generation M2 CS. Not bad as far as performance bumps go. Thanks to the added horsepower, the new M2 CS can accelerate from zero to 60 mph in just 3.7 seconds, which is 0.4 seconds quicker than the standard M2. Top speed comes in at 188 mph, which his 11 mph faster than the base model equipped with the M Driver's package. Unfortunately, those dreaming of shifting through the M2 CS's gears themselves will be left disappointed. Unlike the standard M2, the variant is exclusively available with an eight-speed automatic gearbox that sends power to the rear axles. This decision is sure to disappoint those who love the M2's six-speed manual—an option reportedly chosen by 50 percent of customers—but it has allowed BMW to deliver more power and better performance than before, which seems like a fair trade to us. Automatic gearboxes weigh more than their manual counterparts, but BMW has utilized carbon-fiber parts and forged wheels to keep the variant's weight down to 3,770 pounds, which is 44 pounds less than the standard automatic M2. It's not light per se, but it does weigh less than any of the other M car currently on the market. The suspension has been tuned to account for the additional power and lower curb weight. The M2 CS doesn't look all that different M2 inside and out. Its muscular shape is more sculpted, especially in the rear, where you'll find a ducktail spoiler coming off the trunk lid. Despite looking similar, the two models will feel different, though. That's because more carbon fiber body panels—including the roof, mirror caps, and rear diffuser—were utilized to keep weight down. The M2 CS will cost $99,775 (after destination) when it goes on sale later this year. BMW has yet to announce how much the standard 2026 M2 will cost, but the difference between the two models is likely to be around $30,000. That's steep, of course, but it's also significantly less than the $124,675 it costs to get into an M4 of Robb Report The 2024 Chevy C8 Corvette: Everything We Know About the Powerful Mid-Engine Beast The World's Best Superyacht Shipyards The ABCs of Chartering a Yacht Click here to read the full article.

Playwright Noel Coward's $10.3 Million Former Connecticut Estate Overlooks the Long Island Sound
A Connecticut estate with ties to film and theater royalty has just hit the market for $10.3 million. Dubbed Pebbles, the Fairfield property was designed in 1927 by the architect Francis Hamilton. Later on, the English playwright Noël Coward and his partner John C. Wilson, a Broadway producer, owned the stately spread, and over the years, several stars of screen and stage used Pebbles as a summer getaway, including Laurence Olivier, Vivien Leigh, and Richard Rodgers. Wendy Ryan and Andrew Whiteley at Brown Harris Stevens hold the listing. More from Robb Report BMW Just Unveiled the Most Powerful Rear-Wheel Drive M Car Yet An L.A. Home With Ties to Leonardo DiCaprio and Adrian Grenier Can Now Be Yours for $25 Million Here's How You Can Attend the Premiere of Brad Pitt's 'F1' Movie The six-bedroom, nine-bath Georgian Revival mansion sits on almost three acres with views of the Long Island Sound and Manhattan skyline. Over the years, it's been both carefully maintained and updated by a lineage of owners, meaning that classic details are paired with modern-day features. Off the foyer are both a formal living room and a more casual family room, both with wood-burning fireplaces. The large eat-in kitchen is done up with stark white cabinetry, while the adjacent dining area is surrounded by picture windows that look out toward the water. The bedrooms are all located upstairs, with yet another fireplace found in the primary suite. Here, you can also relax in the bathroom's soaking tub or kick back in the private lounge. The home's basement level, meanwhile, has been turned into a rec room, offering plenty of space for children or adults to play. Out back, ample green space surrounds the pool, which can be seen in the 1968 film The Swimmer, starring Burt Lancaster. A couple of garden plots are scattered around. One is centered around a fountain, while another has more of a southwestern, desert vibe. Manicured hedges line the walkways and the perimeter of the lot. A little more than 50 miles north of Midtown Manhattan, Fairfield has long been a favored commuter suburb of New York City. With easy access to both nature and the beach, it offers the best of the city and country. The town is also known for some pretty spectacular homes.
