Gastonia boy surprised with law enforcement, K9 Bo at his birthday party
GASTONIA, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — A Gastonia boy got a big surprise on his birthday. 3-year-old Rylen's mother called the Gastonia Police Department's non-emergency number Saturday afternoon, asking if there was a patrol unit in her area and if they could drive by so her son could see them. The department did more than just that. Gastonia Police commanders asked for volunteers, and seven officers, a Civilian Crash investigator, a Gaston County deputy and K9 Bo all came out to wish Rylen a happy 3rd birthday. Gastonia Police surprise young admirer on his birthday
Gastonia Police made some time for one community member on Saturday afternoon. It was Rylen's 3rd birthday. His mother had called the Gastonia Police Department's non-emergency line and asked if there was a patrol unit nearby who would have time to drive down their street so Rylen could see them. Several cars rolled down the street with sirens on to greet Rylen. Eight police officers, two civilian crash investigators, a Gaston County Sheriff's Deputy and K-9 Bo all showed up to wish Rylen a happy birthday.
