SAP hackfest held at MITE
Mangaluru: The department of MCA at Mangalore Institute of Technology & Engineering (MITE), in association with SAP and execution partner NextGrids, successfully hosted the first round of SAP Hackfest 2025 on Thursday.
This national-level hackathon brought together brilliant young minds to pitch their innovative ideas aligned with real-world business challenges under the themes of Sustainable Business, Preventing Digital Fraud, and Ethics in AI Models for Business.
The inaugural session was graced by Jayanth Bagare, chief development officer, SAP, who urged students to deeply reflect on the problems they are solving and the value they create.
"Your expertise should get you a job. Technology is evolving rapidly, and those who can blend domain knowledge with technical skill will lead the future," he emphasised.
With over 65 teams presenting their ideas to a distinguished panel of industry and academic jury members, SAP Hackfest 2025 offered students a comprehensive learning journey—from ideation to design thinking, business model canvas to prototype development.
