Scots thug ‘did a runner' after being accused of trying to smuggle drugs out Colombia
He previously boasted about beating the country's legal system UNDER INVESTIGATION Scots thug 'did a runner' after being accused of trying to smuggle drugs out Colombia A SCOTS thug did a runner after being accused of trying to smuggle drugs out of Colombia, prosecutors have claimed. Ricky Courage, 32, had faced up to 20 years in a hell-hole nick after allegedly being caught with almost 2kg of the drug in his luggage. Advertisement 2 Justice chiefs in South America have insisted Courage, from Aberdeen, remains under investigation Credit: TikTok But we told in April how he boasted about beating the country's legal system after returning to Scotland and gloating about his freedom in social media posts. Now justice chiefs in South America have insisted Courage, from Aberdeen, remains under investigation. And they claim he scarpered after being moved from a jail and put on house arrest due to a medical condition. Fiscal Karime Gonzalez Urina said: 'The investigation is active. On February 11, a hearing was held to replace the prison order with house arrest at his residence. Advertisement 'This measure was granted due to a serious illness, as certified by a psychologist.' We revealed that career criminal Courage, from Aberdeen, posted clips of himself about to down drinks on the plane as he headed to Colombia with pals last year. Two weeks later he was nicked at Rafael Nunez Airport in Cartagena as he was set to travel home. Prosecutors said sniffer dogs found six packages containing the drugs in his suitcase. Courage denied responsibility but was charged and appeared in the dock last September. Advertisement Legal experts warned he faced years of hell in San Sebastian Ternera Prison, which houses warring gang members. But in April we told how he had returned here — joking online that he had come back after growing tired of his jail diet of rice and beans. Brit 'drug mule' Charlotte May Lee, 21, tears up as cops wheel £1.2m kush haul into court she 'didn't know was in case' It is understood Scots cops are monitoring the situation and are in touch with international counterparts. Courage's rap sheet includes setting fire to a police station and breaking a neighbour's leg. Advertisement He refused to comment.

Scots school worker branded girl, 12, ‘sl*t' and ‘stupid fat wh*re' on Snapchat
Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) A SCOTS school support worker who branded pupils as young as 12, 'sluts' and 'stupid fat wh*res' on Snapchat has been struck off. Gillian Sorbie was working at a primary school in Fife when she sent a string of shocking messages to one pupil whilst setting up meetings to sell vapes to another. Sign up for Scottish Sun newsletter Sign up 2 Gillian Sorbie has been struck off after calling a little girl a "sl*g" and a "fat wh*re" on Snapchat 2 Sorbie was sending shocking messages to 12-year-old pupils while she worked at a school in Fife In one message on the social media app, Sorbie, 41, told one 12-year-old girl: "Just you wait till tomorrow stupid fat wh**e" Before threatening: "F*** you, you're gonna hurt when I see you tomorrow. "I need to go out (sic) my daughter to bed. Try not to kill yourself while I'm gone" All of the messages were sent over tow days between March 2 and March 9, 2023 and were horrifying in content, calling the child "Sl*gbag" and asking her: "You dead yet?". Other shocking messages read: "Go suck a f***" and "Well that's what wh***s do so anytime you feel like it…" Before telling the schoolgirl "Go to hell. "Oh go ahead but I'll stay alive just to p*** you off" The vile messages were laid bare in a hearing by the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC). The panel also heard Sorbie contacted another child, also aged 12, to sell vapes to her between September and October 2023. Sorbie wrote: "What to do is all of you give all the money to one person then that person can jump in my car and I'll hand over all of the vapes and they can dish them out after I've gone. Female teacher, 27, had 'sex with student in classroom' hours before arrest as '8-month relationship' exposed "Don't want to be seen selling you vapes in public so gotta be subtle yk xx" Sorbie warned the child to "keep quiet" saying: "How many. Got to be kept quiet tho I can't have folk knowing I'm selling vapes to 11 year olds lol", before adding: " Lol no worries, I trust you gals not to rat me out xx'" The panel was told Sorbie was convicted of selling vapes to kids at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court in September last year after she messaged the same child a picture of vapes saying: " 'Vapes £13 each or two for £20. 4000 puffs each. Amazing value. DM me if you want any". The SSSC said Sorbie had shown no regret or remorse for her actions and had tried to cover up her crime by deleting messages, adding: "You provided two former pupils of the primary school where you worked with your contact details and then repeatedly contacted them both on a social media messaging application. "This was further aggravated by the abusive and inappropriate content of the messages. "You offered to sell nicotine vape devices to a child. "You offered to sell nicotine vape devices to a child. "This is an abuse of the trust placed in you by your employer and the parents of the children you were entrusted to care for. "You attempted to delete messages as the parent of one of the children was trying to save them in an attempt to conceal your wrongdoing. "You offered no insight or apology for your behaviour."

Furious Scots restaurant hits back at customer's scathing two-star review – after they ‘didn't even eat'
The eatery has racked up hundreds of reviews on Tripadvisor and bagged a 4.8 out of five-star rating A SCOTS restaurant has clapped back after a customer threw a "hissy fit" and left a scathing review - despite not even eating there. Furious staff at The Ferry Inn, located in the quaint fishing village of Uig on the Isle of Skye, blasted the two-star review for its "unfounded critique" of the eatery. Advertisement 1 Staff at The Ferry Inn in Uig, Skye, blasted the reviewer for their "unfounded critique" Credit: Google The family-run diner is renowned for its delicious seasonal sharing plates crafted from fresh local produce. It has garnered hundreds of glowing reviews on TripAdvisor and earned a 4.8 out of five-star rating on the popular travel guidance site. The Ferry Inn opens for dinner from 5pm until 10pm and operates on a reservations-only basis. It also boasts boutique bedrooms, a guest lounge and a fully stocked bar. Advertisement Tables at the restaurant are mostly reserved for overnight guests, with a limited number released to non-residents just four weeks in advance. This system ensures an intimate dining experience but does mean that availability is limited. But one disgruntled diner didn't take kindly to the booking policy and aired their grievances in a now-deleted Tripadvisor review entitled "Disappointed in lack of booking facilities." They wrote: "Not particularly great experience, no availability for booking, nearest restaurant to where we are staying. Seems to be a lack of place to eat in Skye. Advertisement "We are disappointed in local restaurants and their lack of availability for dinner bookings. Thus restaurant was on our list to visit, but sadly could not accommodate till well in to June, July." But staff at The Ferry were quick to hit back at the two-star review. Top Scottish Indian Restaurants Shine Globally They branded the reviewer's behaviour a "hissy fit" and hit back with a fiery response, writing: "So now anyone who can't get a reservation with us is valid to leave us negative 'reviews'? Scary stuff if this the road we're going down because Skye is rammed until October. "We book up months in advance. We explain everything in detail on our website and social media and on our outside signage. Advertisement "We have four tables a night, we're a family of four running a small inn. We have no staff, we're not running a mass operation. To have had this woman now write two reviews slamming us and the whole of Skye for her lack of forward planning is ludicrous. "The worst part of this? (She) is still on the Island, sat in a holiday cottage up the road, abusing us online whilst we're flat out and we have to spend our time dealing with her utter nonsense?". "If only (she) had spent this much time and effort researching her trip and booking restaurants - then none of us would be in this position.." The scathing review was later removed, though it remains unclear whether the original poster deleted it themselves. Advertisement The restaurant took to social media once again to thank their supporters, continuing: "Big thanks for all your support in the matter - it's just a shame this has happened and happens to other businesses too, hospitality and otherwise!" They added: "Just to reiterate, it's not about receiving an unhinged bad review - it's about the precedent it sets for more people to be able to leave negative/ non reviews when they can't get a table - not just for us but many other small businesses!".
