Deputies: Pueblo felon arrested after allegedly stealing gun from roommate
(PUEBLO COUNTY, Colo.) — A suspect has been arrested in Pueblo County after he allegedly stole two rifles from his roommate while on parole. According to the Pueblo County Sheriff's Office (PCSO), deputies originally responded on Tuesday, June 3, to a home in the 67000 block of East Highway 50, near Fowler, after a caller reported that his roommate had stolen two rifles from him. When deputies responded, they saw the suspect, identified as 39-year-old Brian Feltner, sitting in a car at the home. When he saw law enforcement, PCSO said Feltner tried to drive away, but deputies were able to stop his vehicle. Feltner was taken into custody at gunpoint. According to PCSO, deputies could see an SKS rifle inside the car that matched the description of one of the stolen rifles. Feltner allegedly admitted to taking the rifles as 'collateral.' Feltner, who was on parole, was also wanted on two warrants. He was arrested on the outstanding warrants and on new charges of theft and possession of a weapon by a previous offender. He has been booked into the Pueblo County Jail. Copyright 2025 Nexstar Media, Inc. All rights reserved. This material may not be published, broadcast, rewritten, or redistributed.

Man sentenced to 30 to 35 years for drive-by shooting that killed 9-year-old girl
One of the two gunmen who prosecutors say sprayed approximately 30 bullets into a Silverton home in 2023, killing a 9-year-old girl, has pleaded guilty to charges including manslaughter. As part of the plea agreement, Qasseem Dixon, 27, was sentenced to 30 to 35 years in prison. Hamilton County Common Pleas Judge Robert Winkler imposed that sentence on Tuesday, June 3. The shooting happened the night of July 10, 2023 on Plainfield Road. Da'Myiah Barton-Pickens was inside her grandmother's house with a friend, dancing and making TikTok videos, when prosecutors say Dixon and 27-year-old Ryan Brown opened fire at the house. Da'Myiah was struck once in the chest. Her friend was grazed by a bullet. Her grandmother, Latisha Copeland, was not wounded. In court Tuesday, Copeland described holding Da'Myiah, who was mortally wounded, in her arms. She said Dixon's reckless decision "not only broke us − it shattered all our hearts into a million little pieces." "Why should you be able to continue to live, when my grandbaby had to die?" Copeland said. An SKS rifle and a 9 mm handgun were used in the shooting. Authorities have said that the intended target was a man related to Da'Myiah. The second accused gunman, 29-year-old Ryan Brown, is set to stand trial in July on charges including aggravated murder. SKS Technologies Group Limited's (ASX:SKS) Fundamentals Look Pretty Strong: Could The Market Be Wrong About The Stock?
With its stock down 29% over the past three months, it is easy to disregard SKS Technologies Group (ASX:SKS). However, stock prices are usually driven by a company's financial performance over the long term, which in this case looks quite promising. In this article, we decided to focus on SKS Technologies Group's ROE. Return on equity or ROE is an important factor to be considered by a shareholder because it tells them how effectively their capital is being reinvested. In short, ROE shows the profit each dollar generates with respect to its shareholder investments. We've found 21 US stocks that are forecast to pay a dividend yield of over 6% next year. See the full list for free. The formula for ROE is: Return on Equity = Net Profit (from continuing operations) ÷ Shareholders' Equity So, based on the above formula, the ROE for SKS Technologies Group is: 61% = AU$11m ÷ AU$17m (Based on the trailing twelve months to December 2024). The 'return' is the amount earned after tax over the last twelve months. One way to conceptualize this is that for each A$1 of shareholders' capital it has, the company made A$0.61 in profit. View our latest analysis for SKS Technologies Group Thus far, we have learned that ROE measures how efficiently a company is generating its profits. We now need to evaluate how much profit the company reinvests or "retains" for future growth which then gives us an idea about the growth potential of the company. Assuming everything else remains unchanged, the higher the ROE and profit retention, the higher the growth rate of a company compared to companies that don't necessarily bear these characteristics. Firstly, we acknowledge that SKS Technologies Group has a significantly high ROE. Additionally, the company's ROE is higher compared to the industry average of 20% which is quite remarkable. So, the substantial 55% net income growth seen by SKS Technologies Group over the past five years isn't overly surprising. As a next step, we compared SKS Technologies Group's net income growth with the industry, and pleasingly, we found that the growth seen by the company is higher than the average industry growth of 30%. Earnings growth is an important metric to consider when valuing a stock. What investors need to determine next is if the expected earnings growth, or the lack of it, is already built into the share price. This then helps them determine if the stock is placed for a bright or bleak future. Is SKS fairly valued? This infographic on the company's intrinsic value has everything you need to know. SKS Technologies Group's ' three-year median payout ratio is on the lower side at 13% implying that it is retaining a higher percentage (87%) of its profits. So it seems like the management is reinvesting profits heavily to grow its business and this reflects in its earnings growth number. Besides, SKS Technologies Group has been paying dividends over a period of three years. This shows that the company is committed to sharing profits with its shareholders. Our latest analyst data shows that the future payout ratio of the company is expected to rise to 19% over the next three years. Consequently, the higher expected payout ratio explains the decline in the company's expected ROE (to 40%) over the same period. Overall, we are quite pleased with SKS Technologies Group's performance. In particular, it's great to see that the company is investing heavily into its business and along with a high rate of return, that has resulted in a sizeable growth in its earnings. With that said, the latest industry analyst forecasts reveal that the company's earnings growth is expected to slow down.
