Lucknow: To promote the UP International Trade Show 2025, a delegation from the state organised a roadshow in Mumbai on Friday. The show attracted business leaders, sourcing agencies, and institutional buyers from Maharashtra. It not only showcased the opportunities available in Uttar Pradesh but also opened doors for new industrial partnerships between the two states. The event was led by Rakesh Sachan, UP minister for MSME, Khadi, and Village Industries. Bengaluru, July 18 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh government conducted a high-profile roadshow here today to promote the upcoming third edition of the Uttar Pradesh International Trade Show (UPITS) 2025, scheduled from September 25 to 29 at the India Expo Centre and Mart, Greater Noida. Speaking at the event, UP MSME Minister Rakesh Sachan called Uttar Pradesh India's growth engine and invited industry leaders from Karnataka such as FKCCI, KASSIA, LUB, and Peenya Industrial Association to participate in and benefit from the Trade Show. He highlighted UP's fast-growing economy, ODOP (One District One Product) success, investor-friendly single-window system, vast land banks, and a thriving MSME ecosystem with 96 lakh MSMEs, accounting for 14% of India's total. With 96 lakh MSMEs—around 14% of India's total—the state is empowering artisans across all 75 districts through the One District, One Product (ODOP) scheme," Sachan said. Over 46L saplings planted in Kanpur under plantation drive

1 2 3 4 Kanpur: Around 46,87,889 saplings were planted on Wednesday under a massive tree plantation campaign in the district. Under the campaign, plantations took place at various places of the district. Besides public representatives, district administration officials, voluntary organisations, public and students participated in planting saplings. The main programme was organised at the Allen Forest Campus in Deendayal Nagar, where 35,000 saplings were planted using the Miyawaki method in one hectare area. Chief guest minister for micro, small and medium enterprises, Rakesh Sachan, inaugurated the campaign by planting a sapling amidst chanting of Vedic mantras. Addressing the public, Sachan said that the state government was running a tree plantation campaign every year for environmental protection. He informed that a target of planting 37 crore saplings has been set in the state this year, in which Kanpur city has been given a target of about 47 lakh saplings. This programme was being conducted with the coordination of 27 departments. Sachan said that since 2017, greenery has increased in the state and now it is being ensured that if trees are cut due to any reason, they must be compensated for. He appealed to all the citizens that it was the responsibility of every person to plant trees and preserve them for a clean environment. On this occasion, MLA Neelima Katiyar said that 'Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam Maha Abhiyan' is a medium to express gratitude towards nature. She urged children and youth to plant one tree each and take care of it. Arun Pathak, MLC said that giving trees the status of 'mother', every citizen should dedicate a tree to mother and ensure its protection. He stressed the necessity of maintaining a balance between population and trees. Mayor Pramila Pandey said that trees were the basis for the safety of our future generations. "If we preserve greenery today, then the coming generations will get pure air, water and life", she said. Divisional forest officer Divya informed that a total of 46,87,889 saplings have been planted at various places in the district on Wednesday, which include fruit-bearing, shady and medicinal species of plants. This plantation was done especially in the area which is affected by industrial pollution. Its purpose is to reduce water and air pollution and to make people aware about environmental protection.
