Saiyaara Box Office Day 12: Ahaan Panday's Debut Earns Rs 9.5 Cr On Tuesday, Eyes Rs 300 Cr

Last Updated: Saiyaara continues its golden run at the box office, collecting Rs 9.5 crore on Day 12. The film nears Rs 300 crore, OTT release now delayed. Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda's Saiyaara is showing no signs of slowing down. The romantic drama, directed by Mohit Suri, continues its triumphant box office run by earning Rs 9.50 crore (early estimates) on its second Tuesday, Day 12. The film had collected Rs 9.25 crore on Monday, indicating strong weekday retention. As per early estimates by Sacnilk, the film's total domestic box office collection now stands at a staggering Rs 266 crore. Having crossed the Rs 200 crore mark in just nine days, Saiyaara is now eyeing the Rs 300 crore club—an impressive feat for a film led by newcomers. The film, which released on July 18, 2025, started modestly but quickly gained momentum thanks to strong word-of-mouth and a deeply emotional storyline. It follows the journey of Krish Kapoor, a struggling musician, and Vaani Batra, a soulful poet, as they navigate themes of love, loss, and healing. The chemistry between Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda has been widely praised, marking a successful debut for both actors. The emotional depth of the film, combined with Mohit Suri's signature storytelling style, has helped Saiyaara emerge as one of 2025's biggest surprises. According to The Times of India, Netflix has acquired the OTT rights for Saiyaara. However, due to its ongoing theatrical success, the digital premiere has been postponed closer to Diwali. This strategic delay is expected to give the film a longer theatrical shelf life and cater to a wider festive audience once it hits streaming platforms. With steady weekday collections and strong weekend potential, Saiyaara is poised for an even bigger box office haul in the coming days. If the current momentum continues, the film could become one of the highest-grossing romantic dramas of all time. First Published: Disclaimer: Comments reflect users' views, not News18's. India's most profitable film of 2025 with just ₹7 crore budget earned 1200% profit, beats Chhaava, Saiyaara

2025 brought much-needed relief to the Indian film industry. As the first half of the year wraps up, it's time to revisit the hits and misses at the box office. The year marked a high point for Vicky Kaushal, with Chhaava becoming his highest-grossing film, while Aamir Khan returned to form with Sitaare. Unexpected successes like Saiyaara, Thudarum, and Kuberaa took audiences by surprise. Meanwhile, highly anticipated films such as Sikandar, Thug Life, Deva, and Emergency received mixed reviews and underwhelming footfall. But rising above all was a small-budget film with no big stars that emerged as the most profitable release of the year. India's most profitable film of 2025 so far is the Tamil surprise box office success, Tourist Family. Tourist Family is written and directed by Abishan Jeevinth, who made his directorial debut with the film. The slice-of-life comedy-drama stars M. Sasikumar, Simran, Mithun Jai Sankar, and Kamalesh Jagan in the lead, while Yogi Babu, Ramesh Thilak, M. S. Bhaskar, Elango Kumaravel, Sreeja Ravi, and Bagavathi Perumal are also part of the film's ensemble cast. The storyline of Tourist Family follows a Sri Lankan Tamil family who reach India in search of a better future after the economic crisis in Sri Lanka. The film is produced by Million Dollar Studios and MRP Entertainment. It was released on 29 April 2025 (India) and 1 May 2025 (worldwide). Tourist Family was made on a modest budget of just ₹ 7 crore. The film went on to earn over ₹ 90 crore worldwide, delivering a whopping 1200% profit over its production cost. In addition to its commercial triumph, it garnered glowing reviews from both critics and audiences. According to industry tracker Sacnilk, Tourist Family opened in India with an impressive day-one collection of ₹ 2.35 crore. It gained strong momentum over the weekend, amassing ₹ 23.3 crore in its first week alone. Powered by positive word-of-mouth, the film continued to grow and earned even more in its second week, collecting ₹ 28 crore. The film maintained a stronghold at the box office for five consecutive weeks, ultimately ending its run with a lifetime global collection of ₹ 90 crore—of which ₹ 70.7 crore came from the Indian market alone. With its earnings, Tourist Family has emerged as the most profitable film, even surpassing 2025's highest grosser Chhaava. Vicky Kaushal's biggest hit Chhaava earned ₹ 808 crore worldwide. The film was made on a budget of ₹ 90 crore, which means it earned around 800% profit. While it is an impressive number, it's still less than what Tourist Family achieved with about 8% of Chhaava's budget. Even the latest box office blockbuster, YRF's Saiyaara, featuring newcomers Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda, is far from replicating the profit margins attained by Tourist Family. As per Sacnilk, Saiyaara recorded worldwide earnings of ₹ 393.80 crore. Reportedly, the Mohit Suri film is made on a budget of ₹ 50 crore, raking in 687.6% profit so far. Other box office hits such as Housefull 5 earned ₹ 300 crore worldwide. However, it wasn't as profitable as expected due to its huge budget of ₹ 225 crore. The same goes for Salman Khan's Sikandar. Aamir Khan's Sitaare Zameen Par has done better, becoming one of the highest grossers of this year so far. It made about 300% profit, as per the latest report. Some South Indian films have also delivered excellent profits. While Tamil film Dragon made a 300% profit at the box office, Malayalam hit Thudarum recorded about 720% profit margin. Telugu blockbuster Sankranthiki Vasthunam, the top Telugu film of 2025 so far, made around 300% profit on its ₹ 60-crore budget.

Hari Hara Veera Mallu box office collection day 6: Pawan Kalyan film shows no growth, struggles to cross ₹80 crore

Hari Hara Veera Mallu box office collection day 6: Expectations were high from Pawan Kalyan's historical epic film Hari Hara Veera Mallu, which released in theatres after several delays on July 24. However, the response has been mixed so far, with many pointing out the poor VFX and weak script of the film. Has the film shown growth over the weekdays after all? The latest update on Sacnilk have pointed out no such good news for the makers as the film saw yet another dip. (Also read: Kangana Ranaut reacts to Pawan Kalyan calling her 'stronger' actor than Kareena Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra) Hari Hara Veera Mallu box office collection day 6: Pawan Kalyan-starrer was criticised for its shoddy VFX and storyline. Hari Hara Veera Mallu box office trends The report stated that Hari Hara Veera Mallu collected ₹ 1.34 crore, as per early estimates, on Tuesday. It is the lowest single-day collection for the film so far. The film's highest single-day collection still remains its opening day numbers at ₹ 34.75 crore. Over the weekend, there was no significant growth as the film saw a dip in collections, and Sunday's figure stood at ₹10.6 crore. The total collections of the film as of Tuesday are at ₹78.69 crore. About the film Hari Hara Veera Mallu revolves around an outlaw named Veera Mallu (Pawan) heading to Delhi from Golconda in search of the Koh-i-Noor, though he also has an ulterior motive for going there. Ruling from the Lal Qila (Red Fort) is Aurangzeb (Bobby), who would like nothing more than to bend the country to his will. The first part ends by teasing a face-off between the two and revealing the title of the sequel. Hari Hara Veera Mallu is partly directed by Krish, but AM Rathnam's son, filmmaker Jyothi Krisna, took over the project after Krish walked out. Jyothi addressed the trolling that the film has received ever since its release in an interview with ABN, and said: 'Anyone will troll only those who are in the limelight… There are 4400 shots in the film that required CGI. I knew in my heart that a few shots weren't up to par, but it wasn't something huge. We needed to hold special premieres for which tickets were sold out, and they turned that minor issue into something major.'
