Livvy Dunne shares snaps of boyfriend Paul Skenes for his birthday

Livvy Dunne wished her professional baseball player boyfriend, Paul Skenes, a happy birthday, on social media. Skenes, who turned 23 on Thursday, is a star pitcher for the Pittsburgh Pirates. Gymnast Dunne posted the photos with the caption, 'Happy birthday little baby @paulskenes' on Thursday afternoon. Dunne recently graced the cover of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition magazine and she became a cover star this year after posing for SI Swimsuit in Bermuda. However, the former LSU star said she wasn't very comfortable during the shoot - due in part to the fact that she kept putting weight on the kneecap she fractured in March to prematurely end her college gymnastics career. 'Fun fact: I was shooting on a fractured kneecap, so poses like this and the cover shot kind of hurt,' Dunne said in a recap video of the shoot, as she showed herself posing on her knees. 'But it was honestly so worth it.' The issue, which is on newsstands now after being released on May 17, and it also featured fellow gymnast Jordan Chiles, actress Salma Hayek and model Lauren Chan as cover stars. Dunne, 22, admitted the whole experience was a dream come true afterwards. 'I can't believe it. Oh my god,' she told the magazine. 'That photo is so good. That is crazy, I am a Sports Illustrated Swimsuit cover model. She also gushed over the shoot in Bermuda, adding: 'It was the most beautiful place I have ever been. The whole experience was extraordinary. 'I know it was quick, but every single time we go to these places, and I shoot for these 24 hours, and it's the quickest trip, you guys feel like family, truly. I have the best time, and it's the most fun shoot I've ever done.'

Livvy Dunne reveals she was in agony during stunning Sports Illustrated Swimsuit shoot

Livvy Dunne's Sports Illustrated Swimsuit shoot was at times extremely painful for the former gymnastics star. Dunne, who had graced the pages of the magazine twice before, became a cover star for the first time this year after posing for SI Swimsuit in Bermuda. But the former LSU gymnast - who suffered a season-ending kneecap fracture in March - said she was in discomfort during the shoot. 'Fun fact: I was shooting on a fractured kneecap, so poses like this and the cover shot kinda hurt,' Dunne said in a recap video of the shoot, as she showed herself posing on her knees. 'But it was honestly so worth it.' The behind-the-scenes clip, posted to Dunne's Instagram, showed Dunne attending fittings, enjoying dinner with her mom the night before and taking to the beach for the animal print-themed shoot. In fact, Dunne said she only spent 24 hours on the island, as she had to return to LSU for class the next day. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Olivia Dunne (@livvydunne) After posing for the company in Puerto Rico (2023) and Portugal (2024), Dunne became a cover star this year, as she kneeled in the water wearing a zebra-print bikini top and green bottoms. The issue, which is on newsstands now after being released on May 17, also featured fellow gymnast Jordan Chiles, actress Salma Hayek and model Lauren Chan as cover stars. Dunne, 22, admitted the whole experience was a dream come true afterwards. 'I can't believe it. Oh my god,' she told the magazine. 'That photo is so good. I have the best time, and it's the most fun shoot I've ever done.' Dunne recently attended a Sports Illustrated Swimsuit party in New York City, which was also attended by the likes of Chiles, 50 Cent and Rob Gronkowski. Gronkowski was there alongside his partner, SI Swimsuit model Camille Kostek, while Chiles was joined by Team USA teammate Suni Lee. Dunne's gymnastics came to an end last month as she bid an emotional farewell to LSU after five seasons. 'The highs, the lows, making the USA national team and competing for our country, every risk was worth the reward,' she said in a farewell video put together by the Tugers. 'Finishing my career over the past five years of the best university in the world has been an incredible journey, and I'm forever grateful.' After walking away from the sport, Dunne now has some free time on her hands as she works out what the next chapter will bring. Days before the release of her cover, she enjoyed a Mets game with three fellow models and influencers: Kostek, Alexandra 'Xandra' Pohl, and Ellie Thumann. Dunne also enjoyed her first Kentucky Derby (and Oaks) earlier this month, as she donned an extravagant all-pink outfit at Churchill Downs.

Museo Casa Kahlo, a New Frida Kahlo Museum, Will Open in Mexico City This Fall

In 1904, the Hungarian-German immigrant Guillermo Kahlo built a house in the Coyoacán neighborhood of Mexico City. There, he would raise his children and establish himself as a sought-after photographer, documenting the region's Colonial architecture. One of his daughters, Frida, would even help her father in the dark room, developing negatives, retouching photos, and arguably beginning her artistic education. As an adult, Frida Kahlo would occupy the same house with her husband, Diego Rivera, transforming it into a gathering place for great personalities of the era: Leon Trotsky, Henry Moore, André Breton. The house has had a vibrant afterlife as well. In 1958, four years after Kahlo's death, it was converted into the now-beloved Museo Frida Kahlo (known to many as Casa Azul), which vies with the National Museum of Anthropology for the rank of most-visited museum in Mexico City. Photographed by Annie Leibovitz, Vogue, December 2001 Last night, a new chapter in Kahlo's story was announced at the Park Avenue residence of Christine and Stephen Schwarzman: The public opening of a Museo Casa Kahlo, adjacent to the storied Casa Azul, will take place on September 27. Already dubbed 'Casa Roja,' the building where the new museum will be housed was originally owned by Frida Kahlo's parents; she later purchased it from them as a home for her sister Christina and Christina's family. 'Cristina was by her side through so much,' says Frida Hentschel Romeo, Kahlo's great-grand-niece, 'traveling with her to New York for her first major exhibition, supporting her through surgeries and recovery.' Frida Hentschel, Mara Romeo Kahlo, and Mara De Anda Romeo Photo: Julieta Cervantes Kahlo's closest living descendants—Mara Romeo Kahlo (Christina's granddaughter and Kahlo's grand-niece), her daughter Mara Deanda Kahlo (Kahlo's great-grand-niece), and Hentschel Romeo—came to New York to publicize the new institution. 'For the first time, the voice of the family will be at the heart of how Frida's story is told,' says Hentschel Romeo. 'This museum isn't just about her work—it's about her world. It's about how the people closest to her shaped who she became. And it's also about the living family—those of us who carry her legacy forward.' The museum will exhibit personal items that have never been shown before, including letters, childhood photographs, a piece of embroidery Kahlo made at the age of five, dolls, jewelry, clothing, and the very first oil painting she ever created. This was the painting, says Hentschel Romeo, that Kahlo showed to Diego Rivera to determine if she had the skill to become a painter. 'It is incredibly moving to see up close,' she adds. The museum will also showcase a newly discovered mural—believed to be the only Frida Kahlo mural in existence.
