starred as guests to promote their latest album as well as their new image. While talking about the past and her experience working in the industry, Minnie revealed a shocking detail about her agency.
Minnie's age used to be a hot topic for debate at the company
The idols came on the show to talk about candid and funny moments that had happened in the past during their careers. Minnie, while explaining how when she came to Korea she was just 17 and now she has grown up to be 27, shared an anecdote from her time of joining the company, as shared by Allkpop.
She shared that 'When I got here, they kept telling me, 'You're 19 years old.' I told them I was 17, and we argued a lot about it.' In response, everyone laughed, thinking about the situation. The host, Jang Do Yeon, even asked Minne, 'You actually fought over that?'
To explain more about what happened at the time, she shared that the different age systems played a major role in the argument and ended up causing the trouble. She shared that in Thailand, we always use the international age system. I had to shoot an introduction video, and when I said I was 17, the company kept insisting I was 19 in Korea.'

More about I-DLE
I-DLE recently rebranded themselves from (G)I-DLE in order to shed the gendered norms that came with the 'G.'. The letter, which now has been removed, represented the word 'girls.' The group wanted to shift their focus to a more inclusive image; hence, they removed the letter as well as the parentheses.
