'It's Very Give And Take': Sanvikaa On Her Bond With Panchayat Co-Star Jitendra

Talking about her much-discussed on-screen chemistry with Jitendra Kumar, Sanvikaa says it's something they never consciously worked on — and that's what makes it click. 'I think it's a very unsaid chemistry. It's a very give and take equation. We don't even talk much — just basic conversations, like 'how are you doing'. We don't rehearse too much, just align on set before a scene, and if something feels off during a take, we adjust then and there. It's very organic, not prepared. For me, it just feels naturally okay," she told us. She also praised Jitendra as a co-star who made her feel at ease on set despite her being relatively new. 'He's amazing. Very supportive. He never made me feel I was working for the first time or that he has done so much work already. He never dominated, treated me with a lot of respect, and created a calm, supportive environment for me to perform. That's why our understanding shows on screen." View this post on Instagram A post shared by Thank You TVF | Webseries (@thankyoutvf) We asked Sanvikaa whether she she relates to Rinki as a person. The actor admitted that she does see glimpses of herself in her character, but there also lies key differences. 'Yes, to some extent. I'm also shy, I don't speak much, and I'm strong-headed. But I'm more self-driven than Rinki. She's still very dependent on her parents, still finding her voice. I, on the other hand, always speak up when something feels wrong — though people often call it bhagavat (rebellion). But it's just my way of saying things. I'm polite, I give people multiple chances, but if things go too far and I'm not taken seriously, I can be fierce. I believe you should always address something that's wrong, otherwise people will keep walking over you," she said with quiet determination. Sanvikaa also shared that while preparing for Rinki, she found herself thinking of her elder sister. 'I understood from the writers' briefing that Rinki lives in a chaotic world — her parents are hyper and always fighting — but she herself is calm, someone who takes a stand for what she feels is right, even against her loved ones. That reminded me of my sister. I've seen her all my life and found the character very similar to her. So it was easy to connect and draw inspiration from her — how she behaves, reacts, stands up for others," she recalled. Was she always this person who stands up for herself and others? Sanvikaa reflected on her bygone days, 'Somewhere, yes. Even in college I was like this, but with lesser intensity. Over time, life and experiences taught me to be stronger. Every experience gives you a lesson — and it's a mix of who I am and what I've learnt along the way." In fact, she also advises her friends the same. 'If you're not wrong, and something wrong is being done to you, at least address it. Otherwise people will keep seeing you as someone without a voice, and that pattern will repeat," she asserted. Sanvikaa also shared an update on Panchayat 5. She said that writing is already in progress and the show is expected to go on floors by end of November or early nexr year.

Panchayat Star Sanvikaa Admits She Felt Awkward in Front of Paps: ‘Mera First Time Hai Nah'

Sanvikaa made quite a mark playing the role of Rinki, sarpanchji's daughter, in Panchayat series. Jitendra Kumar, Neena Gupta and Raghubir Yadav's Panchayat is undoubtedly one of the most loved shows in India. Among the breakout stars is Sanvikaa, who rose to fame playing the role of Rinki. Ever since then, the actress has been enjoying the love and admiration of the audience. But despite her growing popularity, the actress recently confessed to feeling a bit awkward when she was papped for the first time. In a video doing the rounds on Instagram, Sanvikaa is seen exiting a venue and being greeted by the paparazzi. She greeted them back with a smile and genuine warmth. When one of the paps requested, 'Aap aagey aaiye thoda," she responded with a little laugh, 'Aur aagey aau?" That is when she admitted, 'Mera first time hai nah," adding, 'Isiliye mere liye awkward hai thoda sa." It was a sweet and honest moment that showed how grounded she remains, despite stepping into the spotlight. Before leaving, Sanvikaa flashed a thumbs-up and thanked the photographers. She even folded her hands to say goodbye. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Pinkvilla (@pinkvilla) The video instantly caught the attention of her fans, with many praising her simplicity. Comments ranged from 'So sweet of her to admit it," to 'A journey from no one to known one! Superb @iamsanvikaa! Really proud of you. Watching Panchayat Season 4. Rinkiyaaa!" Initially, she lived with a friend already working in the entertainment industry. With that friend's encouragement, Sanvikaa began working as an outfit assistant director while simultaneously giving auditions. Within just ten days, she landed a commercial – and the rest, as they say, is history. Her casting in Panchayat Season 2 became her big break, and since then, there's been no looking back. According to reports, she has been flooded with offers for upcoming roles in multiple projects. First Published: June 24, 2025, 18:51 IST Disclaimer: Comments reflect users' views, not News18's. Sanvikaa opens up on her ‘Personal Request' to 'Panchayat' makers: 'Sir, please grow my character a little more'

Actress Sanvikaa , who has become a fan favourite through her role in the widely loved series 'Panchayat', recently opened up about her behind-the-scenes hopes for the show. As 'Panchayat' season 4 continues to garner praise, Sanvikaa shared in an interview with IANS that she's had just one consistent request to the makers since Season 2—more screen time. "Sir, please, a little more' by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Why seniors are rushing to get this Internet box – here's why! Techno Mag Learn More Undo 'I just have one request every time, like every season. I tell them, 'Sir, please grow my character a little more,'' Sanvikaa said. 'That has been my personal request. But with time, the makers know how to take the story ahead. So, this progress has been very gradual. And I'm happy about it, but still, like I always say sir, please, a little more.' Despite her yearning for a more prominent arc, Sanvikaa expressed full faith in the show's creators, acknowledging that they have a larger narrative in mind. Her grounded approach and relatable character have played a key role in Panchayat's rise from a modest slice-of-life drama to a cultural phenomenon. The actress reflected on the show's unique journey: 'No one imagined Panchayat would get this massive success because it's a very simple show. The kind of shows that were being made then were completely different. But this made a mark for itself.' From Pandemic Comfort to Cult Status Released during the first wave of the COVID-19 pandemic, Panchayat offered a quiet, heartfelt story that resonated deeply with home-bound audiences. Now, four seasons in, the show has evolved into one of Prime Video India's biggest success stories, with Season 5 already in the works. Season 4 received good reviews from the audiences and an excerpt from ETimes review for the latest season reads, "The season ends on an open note, making it unclear whether another one is planned. It could end here, or continue. Despite relying on the same patterns, 'Panchayat' remains a comfort watch. It captures a world where people are driven by genuine concerns—whether it's Bhushan offering to arrange an electrician for the faulty transformer or Abhishek running to get water after Bhushan is injured. The show doesn't aim for grand twists or emotional highs. It's gentle, lived-in, and this season is no different—just don't expect major plot developments."
