A day later, on the evening of November 12, 2010, Isakin Jonsson, 32, picked up a knife and climbed on to the bed where his girlfriend was resting. Advertisement He slit her throat, decapitated her, and cut pieces of flesh from her arms and legs, which he cooked in salt and homegrown cannabis leaves. The depraved crime sent shockwaves through the sleepy town of Skara, Sweden, but for Jonsson's daughter, Jamie-Lee Arrow, who was nine at the time, this came as no surprise. In the build-up to Helle's haunting prophecy, the 40-year-old - who had five children with previous partners - had been fighting with Isakin for over 24 hours while Jamie-Lee and two of her children were staying. Jamie-Lee tells The Sun: 'They were throwing plates, pushing each other, throwing knives, and me and her two other children were just sitting on the sofa, crying like babies. 'So at that time, during those 24 hours, I was certain that either I would get killed or she would.' Advertisement After the vicious murder, Jonsson came forward to the police and confessed. He was convicted of murder and sentenced to forensic psychiatric care in March 2011. Looking back on Jamie-Lee's earliest memories of her dad, she reflects it was little surprise that things ended in unimaginable violence. She said: 'Walking into my dad's flat was like walking into a horror movie. Those 'dark secrets' came from Jonsson's morbid fascination with the occult, an obsession that he often tried to force on to his young daughter. She said: 'He often talked about the devil, demons and evil spirits, and when I was little he liked to introduce me to the other side. 'We would lay in the dark on the bed and he would go, 'Do you see the faces on the wall, can you see them?' 'Then he would say it so much I would actually start seeing them.' When Jamie-Lee was around eight, she told her dad about her problems with bullies at school. Instead of offering some warm words and a cup of hot chocolate, he gave her a hand-made voodoo doll and a pin. Advertisement 'Beautiful' second mum It was around this time that Jamie-Lee met her dad's new girlfriend, Helle, who he met at a psychiatric hospital after he was admitted following a drug overdose. On meeting Helle, Jamie-Lee said: 'I immediately fell in love with her, I thought she was so beautiful. 'She was a very unique person and wasn't afraid of my dad. I was used to girls being very careful around my dad. 'They didn't dare to do or say much, but she was joking on his behalf and she was so funny.' Jamie-Lee and Helle became very close over the years as their relationship turned into that of a mother and daughter. Advertisement She said: 'They could have very few moments where they seemed very loving, where they were laughing and having a good time. 'And all I wanted was for them to be happy together and to always be together. 'I had a book where I had written that my biggest wish in life is that they'd stay together for the rest of my life. 'But then most of the time they were fighting and they were not good for each other." Cruellest news Those fights culminated in the violent 24-hour argument shortly before Helle's brutal murder, and her chilling final words to the girl she loved like a daughter. Advertisement It was her mum who told her about what happened the night after. She sat her down on the bed and said she had something horrible to tell her. Jamie-Lee recalls: 'I was like 'No, no don't tell me, I don't want to know' and I was just trying to run out the bedroom just to not hear it. The ordeal had a traumatic effect on the nine-year-old, with Jamie-Lee going on to struggle with depression and addiction. 'I got into drinking at a very early age," she said. 'I finally had found something that soothed my anxiety and my hatred for myself, I could finally escape reality and it was amazing and I didn't want it to stop. 'It went from drinking to smoking weed to all different kinds of drugs, anything I could get my hands on I would take. Advertisement 'I knew I could fall asleep and not wake up again, but I didn't care.' Horror visits Despite dreams of becoming a doctor prior to the murder, Jamie-Lee's school attendance tanked as she sank further into addiction, dropping out completely at just 15. During these dark days, Jamie-Lee still visited her father in hospital, who brainwashed her into thinking that he was the only one who cared about her. But he had not changed, as the then 17-year-old was about to find out. 'I was in a really, really bad state and I was seconds away from killing myself and I said to my dad, 'I don't know what to do, I'm going to kill myself if something doesn't change'," said Jamie-Lee. Advertisement 'He said, 'The only way out is to do this', and he told me about a ritual that had came to him when he was lying in his bed, he said it was a blessing to him. 'We sat down, in front of each other, and he told me to hold his hands and he wanted me to say after him. Jamie-Lee still cannot bear to utter the words her father told her to say that day, but explains he tried to sell her soul to the devil. She said: 'I felt, like, 'What the hell am I doing?' It felt so wrong. 'I just got such a bad feeling in my body, and I was in such a bad state that I felt like I was going insane. Advertisement 'Like I had lost it, I had lost touch with reality.' Everything was just dark and misery On another visit, Jonsson walked his horrified daughter through the murder, in shocking detail. 'He told me with such passion, and that scared me, it was so disturbing," she said. But the final straw was when Jamie-Lee decided to confront her dad about something she wanted an apology for. When he responded violently, she decided to provoke him, to see if he was capable of doing the same thing to her as he did his former girlfriend. Advertisement Who are the UK's worst serial killers? 'It just couldn't leave my mind so I knew that I did want to see him one last time just to ask the questions I was carrying and to get closure. Jailed thug with Satanic 666 tattoo used razor to slice fellow inmate's neck
John Lizanec escaped with a superficial cut to his cheek and neck and was treated with a number of paper stitches after Alan Brown created the improvised weapon. An inmate who carried out a razor attack on a notorious wife killer has been locked up for 40 months. Alan Brown - who sports a Satanic 666 tattoo on his neck - was also found to have been drinking all night after brewing up home made hooch behind bars. The serial thief - dubbed Scotland's 'lowest of the low' after robbing priests, children and war veterans - sneaked up behind John Lizanec and sliced his neck. He was also handed an additional 12-month supervised release period after the court was told that Brown would continue to pose a risk to the public at large. Perth Sheriff Court was told that Brown targeted Lizanec and used the improvised weapon to cut him before kicking him in the back as he tried to flee. Lizanec was on remand awaiting trial for the brutal murder of his estranged wife Michelle. He was subsequently jailed for life and ordered to spend a minimum of 24 years behind bars. Brown, 43, also pled guilty to further offences, including a raid on a Perth charity hub and a one-man siege in which he claimed to have electrified his cell. Fiscal depute Emma Farmer told the court Lizanec walked out of his cell in Perth Prison's B-Hall at around 9.30am on 17 September 2021. He made his way up a stairwell and saw Brown - who was also a remand prisoner at the time - standing at the top. "They had no cause to speak to each other," she said. "As the complainer went to go back down, he felt a sharp pain to the right side of his head followed by a thud to his back. "He turned around and observed Mr Brown in possession of a razor. This caused him to run downstairs. Whilst running away, he was kicked in the back by Mr Brown." Lizanec raised the alarm by shouting"knife" at nearby prison staff. "Mr Brown was challenged by officers and he provided them with an item which contained a scissors handle with two pieces of metal sticking out." Lizanec escaped with a superficial cut to his cheek and neck and was treated with a number of paper stitches. The court also heard of a disturbance at Brown's cell on the morning of January 7, 2024. Brown - who shared his cell with inmate John Ramsay - had made his own hooch and had been up all night drinking. At about 8.30am, guards were carrying out a routine check when they noticed a strong smell of alcohol from Brown's cell. When an officer entered to break up the party, Brown ran at him with an improvised weapon - a screw mounted to a handle - and shouted: "Get the f*** out of this cell." Staff retreated but noticed wires coming from underneath the door. Brown told them he had wired the door and said: "I'd move away if I were you." After confirming it was not electrified, seven officers in full protective gear got ready to enter. Brown threw green liquid, believed to be cleaning fluid, at the door to make it slippery. He was seen holding a blade and heard to say: "If you guys come in here, it's game over." Brown continued: "You're getting done. In fact, he's getting done." He moved towards Mr Ramsay and placed the blade at his throat. The seven officers burst through the door and disarmed Brown and took him to the ground. Brown, who has a long record for crimes of dishonesty, was released from prison in March 2024. On the evening of May 27 that year, he raided two neighbouring properties in Perth's St Leonard's Bank. He first went to a building used by charity Subud Britain, and a woman staying in an upstairs room heard doors opening and closing downstairs. When she went to investigate, she found Brown on the stairwell. "He appeared to be under the influence of something," said Ms Farmer. He mumbled about attending a meeting but left when the woman pointed out broken glass from a smashed window in the hallway. Brown also went next door to an office used for NHS child and adolescent mental health services. A senior nurse noticed the break-in when she arrived for work the next day. Windows were smashed on the ground floor and a cash box containing £50 was missing, along with £23 in an envelope and a wrapped gift. In both incidents, Brown was identified by blood spatter he left at the crime scenes. The same evening, he snatched a handbag from a house in Glengarry Road and a picture snapped by a witness was posted on Facebook. Sheriff William Wood asked Brown: "Maybe you like being in prison?" Brown replied: "Not really, no."

One killed in head-on Highway 24 crash in Topeka
TOPEKA (KSNT) – First responders are at the scene of a deadly crash on Highway 24 in north Topeka Friday afternoon where one person is confirmed dead and another is seriously injured. Traffic is backed up on Highway 24 near where it meets Northwest Rochester Road in north Topeka on May 30. A 27 News reporter at the scene said westbound traffic is being redirected and that at least two vehicles are involved in the crash with one that has rolled over onto its top. Topeka bridge to shut down for months Police at the scene told 27 News a vehicle was traveling east on the highway when it overcorrected and swerved into the westbound lane of traffic, colliding with another vehicle head-on. One person was taken to a local hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries while another died at the scene. 27 News is following this situation. More Satanic protests planned for Kansas Statehouse
TOPEKA (KSNT) – A Satanic organization is planning additional protests at the Kansas Statehouse after an earlier 'Black Mass' ceremony turned violent and ended in several arrests. Michael Stewart, president of the Satanic Grotto, said his organization has plans to hold more protests in Topeka in the coming days. Stewart and other participants were arrested during a controversial Black Mass ceremony inside the Kansas Statehouse in March this year, but that isn't deterring Stewart from returning to the home of the state's Legislature. Stewart told Rebekah Chung with 27 News' Capitol Bureau that he is planning to hold other events at the Statehouse soon. One of these includes a 'Witching Hour Protest.' 'Yes, that's what we're working on,' Steward said. 'We're gonna send in a permit here pretty soon for what I like to call the Witching Hour Protest. We'll be showing up here at midnight and we will be inviting not just Satanists but pagans, wiccans.' Former Kickapoo leader pleads guilty to child pornography crime Shawnee County District Attorney Mike Kagay told 27 News earlier this week his office has yet to make a decision on whether or not charges will be filed in connection to the Black Mass event on March 28. Four people, including Stewart, were arrested as Stewart tried to hold the ceremony inside the Statehouse building. The Black Mass sparked controversy in the days leading up to it, especially among Catholic and Christian organizations. Members of the Kansas Legislature and Governor Laura Kelly issued statements as the Black Mass approached with many legislators condemning it. 'The goal behind this new one [Witching Hour Protest] I think is to start getting solidarity between these fringe religions and groups here in Kansas that might feel isolated and feel like they don't have any power on their own,' Stewart said. Parents are being caught off-guard by this violent extremist network targeting children
In April, two people were arrested in connection with a bomb plot at a concert in Brazil, where more than 2 million fans had gathered to watch Lady Gaga perform. Rio de Janeiro police stated the individuals were connected to a violent, and rising, online network known for targeting young people online, spreading LGBTQ hate and coercing young victims into performing horrific acts of harm and violence. In early May, the FBI announced it has 250 open investigations linked to the violent extremist network called '764' — in addition to local law enforcement investigations that are reportedly just as high. The cluster of groups exploits and abuses children and teenagers, often grooming them to commit ever more violent acts, including mass attacks similar to what was prevented at the April event. The investigations are taking place across all 55 FBI jurisdictions, alongside cases in a dozen countries worldwide. Warnings about the groups have been issued repeatedly by both the FBI and Canadian authorities, including through a new terrorism designation the U.S. Justice Department and the FBI began using — nihilistic violent extremism, or NVE — to describe the growing phenomenon. But despite growing law enforcement concern and attention, there's been virtually no investment in prevention. The rapid growth of these groups, whose victims are estimated to be in the thousands, has caught parents, teachers and mental health counselors off guard as kids as young as 9 have been groomed in the chat features of mainstream, youth-oriented social media and gaming platforms. This lack of awareness among adults and few prevention resources increase the risk that more youth will be harmed. In conversations I have had with high school students during presentations to school groups across the country this spring, teens have reported feeling 'numb' or 'apathetic' about the steady stream of violent content that crosses their feeds, including through occasional errors in content moderation that have led kids to inadvertently see livestreamed murders, suicides or child abuse as they are casually scrolling social media. And this is exactly the point; as a 2024 Canadian law enforcement warning about these groups explained, the goal is to 'manipulate and control victims to produce more harmful and violent content as part of their ideological objectives and radicalization pathway.' By desensitizing kids to violence and harm, they can get children and teens to commit horrific acts more willingly. The 764 label refers to a loose network of individuals and groups with various names and motivations but who all share a common set of tactics: coercion, manipulation and exploitation of teens and children. Some of the exploitation is rooted in financial extortion or nihilism, but in other cases, network members have been arrested in possession of Nazi material or have otherwise been engaged in networks and sites promoting violent extremism, mass shootings, Satanic rituals, or racially and ethnically motivated ideologies. The core tactics of 764 groups rely on convincing minors to livestream, photograph or record intimate images, acts of self-harm, animal abuse or abuse of other children that are then used to force them to escalate their actions and harm others. Members of these exploitative groups reach out to kids online, grooming children and teens through in-game chats of multiplayer video games such as Roblox and Minecraft, but also through a variety of mainstream gaming and social media platforms. Girls with disabilities have been particularly vulnerable; one 'how-to guide' online advises perpetrators to groom kids with mental illnesses because they are 'the most susceptible to manipulation.' In one example, a man involved in the 764 scheme reached out to a girl online and started a relationship with her, eventually convincing her that he was her boyfriend. He coerced her to send intimate photos, and then extorted her to commit acts of self -harm on camera. Again and again, victims later were found to themselves become abusers and recruiters for the groups. The rapid growth of these networks calls for a different, more upstream kind of prevention that can better safeguard families and children. Every child should receive comprehensive digital and media literacy that includes a focus on online manipulation. Parents, teachers, mental health counselors and other caregivers need help recognizing warning signs, from kids who are increasingly withdrawn, exhibiting personality changes or even wear long sleeves in warm temperatures as a way to conceal self-harm, to unusual injuries among pets. Parents also need help to stay informed about the online worlds their kids inhabit, especially problematic or vulnerable youth-oriented platforms or social media sites, and the wide range of evolving harms to which children and teens are exposed. And all communities need trained, informed mental health experts who can offer therapeutic support to the growing number of victims who have been harmed by these networks. We can't just expect families to build resilience to online harms. We also need to address the accountability of social media platforms that enable adults to exploit children and that have failed to address the impacts of increasing exposure to violent content on mainstream sites. Law enforcement and media attention to the growing problem of child exploitation networks like 764 is welcome and needed. But our kids deserve much more than attention and accountability for harms once they occur. They need us to work harder to keep them safe to begin with. This article was originally published on
