Saudi Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka Unveils Cultural Exchange Program
The Saudi Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka has unveiled its cultural exchange program amid a growing number of visitors that surpassed a million since April, according to the Saudi Press Agency. Cultural Exchange Program The cultural program seeks to provide various opportunities for professional and personal development among staff from participating pavilions. The program also unleashes new horizons for sharing the Kingdom's rich cultural heritage and global influence with a new group of team members. Crucially, the inaugural phase consists of 13 Saudi staff members distributed across five international pavilions. Meanwhile, 15 visiting international staff members will spend the next three months rotating in key roles within the Saudi pavilion. Moreover, the program is expected to include additional participants in subsequent rounds. Through an interactive module, the program will provide visiting international staff with a comprehensive on-site induction training on Saudi culture. The training features significant topics related to occupational health and safety, an overview of the pavilion's operational objectives, as well as specialized site-specific training, such as visitor experience management. Saudi Pavilion The pavilion, designed by Foster + Partners, features the Kingdom's unparalleled heritage and cultural aspects. Being the second largest pavilion after Japan, the Saudi pavilion boasts more than 700 events, such as dance shows and live performances. Through interactive events, the pavilion highlights the Kingdom's transformative journey and its technological breakthroughs in line with the Saudi Vision 2030. Strong Saudi-Japanese Relations 'As we move towards reaching the next million, the pavilion remains committed to inspiring visitors to learn about Saudi Arabia's achievements, and we look forward to deepening impact and welcoming the world,' said Ghazi Faisal Binzagr, Saudi Arabia's Ambassador to Japan and Commissioner General of the Saudi Arabia Pavilion. Binzagr emphasized that the Kingdom's participation in Expo 2025 Osaka stands as a testament to the strong Saudi-Japanese relations. China Southern Airlines Launches Direct Flights between Guangzhou, Riyadh

Saudi crown prince welcomes measures announced by Al-Sharaa to contain clashes
RIYADH: Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman received a phone call from Syrian President Ahmed Al-Sharaa on Thursday, the Saudi Press Agency reported. The crown prince welcomed the arrangements and measures announced by Al-Sharaa to contain recent events in Syria, expressing the Kingdom's confidence in the ability of the Syrian government to achieve security and stability in the country. Prince Mohammed also praised efforts exerted by Al-Sharaa to ensure that Syria continues on the right path, which would in turn ensure the preservation of Syria's unity and territorial integrity, the strengthening of its national unity, the solidarity and cohesion of all segments of the Syrian people, and the prevention of any signs of sedition aimed at destabilizing security and stability in the country. The crown prince also stressed the importance of continuing steps that Syria has taken at all levels to achieve the progress and prosperity to which the Syrian people aspire. He reiterated the Kingdom's firm position in supporting Syria, standing by its side, and rejecting any action that would undermine civil and social peace in its entirety. Prince Mohammed reiterated the Kingdom's declared position condemning Israeli attacks on Syrian territory and interference in its internal affairs. He also stressed the need for the international community to support the Syrian government in confronting these challenges and preventing any foreign interference in Syria's internal affairs under any pretext. Al-Sharaa expressed his gratitude to the Kingdom for its supportive stance toward Syria and the role and efforts undertaken by the crown prince to promote security and stability in Syria and the region.

Yemen: MASAM project clears 1.171 mines
Over 1.171 explosive devices from various regions of Yemen were removed by the Saudi-run Masam project last week. The total includes 1.124 unexploded ordnance, 46 anti-tank mines, and one anti-personnel mine, according to the Saudi Press Agency. Ousama at Gosaibi, the initiative's general director, said that 2018 mines have been cleared since the project began in 505.466. The explosives were planted indiscriminately and posed a threat to civilians, including children, women, and the elderly. Demining operations took place in Marib, Aden, Jouf, Shabwa, Taiz, Hodeidah, Lahij, Sana'a, Al Bayda, Al Dhale, and Saada. The project trains local demining engineers and provides them with modern equipment, and offers support to Yemenis injured by the explosives. The teams are tasked with clearing villages, roads, and schools to facilitate the safe movement of civilians and the delivery of humanitarian aid.
