But her professional commitments are not coming in the way of her personal ties, as Alia soon jetted off to Spain to attend her close friend Tanya Saha Gupta's wedding celebrations. Latest pictures from the special day have now surfaced on Instagram and X, where Alia was seen in a black dress as one of the bridesmaids, attending to her friend and clicking her photos. Alia joined her gang of girlfriends as the bridesmaids, clicking pictures and giggling and making sure the bride has the best day ever. In one of the pictures, Alia was seen holding a white umbrella. In another she clicked a picture of her om her phone with the backdrop of the stunning location. A video of her walking down the stairs as one of the bridesmaids was also shared by her fan page on X. Several videos from the wedding have been doing the rounds of social media. In one of them, Alia was seen dancing to dhol beats and having a great time. In another video, she was seen in what looked like a procession, dancing with her friends to peppy Bollywood tracks like London Thumakda and High Heels. She opted for a colourful lehenga paired with a mustard yellow blouse. Alia made a splash at the Cannes Film Festival with her red carpet looks. For her Cannes red carpet debut, she wore an off-shoulder fishtail gown from Schiaparelli haute couture to attend the premiere of The Mastermind. At the closing ceremony, she made a jaw-dropping statement in the first-ever Gucci saree, embellished with Swarovski crystals. And now Kylie has finally revealed why she goes monochrome so often when out with Timothee. The 27-year-old admitted to Harper's Bazaar in an article published on Wednesday that she opted for jet black so as not to distract from her boyfriend's achievements. 'Although these are the most beautiful, iconic gowns that I've been wearing, I think a black dress is also kind of like, not too attention grabbing in the best way,' she explained. 'You can never go wrong with a black dress,' Kylie added. Although the monochrome looks served an important function for her, she didn't set out to wear nothing but black throughout awards season. 'I think it just like happened that way,' she admitted. Prior to making her red carpet debut with Timothee in Italy, Kylie was thinking of trying out something more colorful. 'I can't wear another black dress,' she recalled thinking. 'And then of course the most perfect, gorgeous Schiaparelli black dress shows up.' Times European labels fell in love with sarees
The West has always been fascinated with the Indian drapes, particularly the saree, and has taken inspiration from it since times immemorial. High-end fashion labels from Dior to Schiaparelli have presented their own rendition of the six -yards of wonder in their collection. With the recent example of Alia Bhatt wearing the first-ever sari interpretation by Gucci at Cannes Film Festival, here's looking at the times European labels have fallen for the saree. Elsa Schiaparelli was inspired by Princess Karamjit Singh of Kapurthala aka Sita Devi for its first-ever saree-inspired design. In July, businesswoman Isha Ambani wore another saree by the label for her brother Anant Ambani's sangeet. Dior, which has always taken inspiration from Indian culture for its design language, created a saree-inspired dress styled with opera gloves and layered neckpieces. Indian motifs and embroidery added to its appeal. Hermès' spring 2008 Ready-to-Wear show saw models wearing sarees on the ramp. It was later in 2011 that they launched a limited edition saree range to connect with Indian culture. Luxury house Balenciaga's rendition was woven with golden leaf and bud motifs, featuring a strapless sheath with integral boned grosgrain corset. Actor Elizabeth Taylor wore it for the reopening of a Paris nightclub Designer Hubert de Givenchy looked to India for Hollywood legend Audrey Hepburn's yellow saree gown in the 1961 film Breakfast at Tiffany's. Also known as the toga dress, it was an ode to Indian draping.
