Mahindra Vision S teased again, debut soon: All you need to know
With just days to go before its official unveiling on Independence Day, Mahindra has released a new teaser of the upcoming Vision S concept SUV, revealing more of its front design and hinting at its all-electric nature. The latest teaser shows off several fresh design cues, including flared wheel arches, a tall and upright stance, and what appears to be a closed-off grille. From the side profile shown in previous teasers, the Vision S carries a bold, sculpted bonnet with functional side scoops, chunky off-road tyres, and edgy wheel cladding, all of which contribute to its rugged yet futuristic look. A steeply raked windscreen gives the SUV a sleek, aerodynamic profile, possibly suggesting a slightly lower height than Mahindra's current Scorpio range. Among the concepts, the auto enthusiasts are quite excited about the Mahindra Scoprio N-based pickup truck. It has already been spied testing in India in single-cab as well as double-cab formats. Recently, the Mahindra Scorpio N Pickup has been snapped testing again, and these particular spy shots give a clear view of the side profile. Mahindra Vision SXT Mahindra Scorpio N Pickup Truck: Design The spy shots claim that the Mahindra pickup will get a refreshed design over the Scorpio N. It gets an upright and slatted grille right at the front and has newly designed LED lights at the front and rear. Also, the brand's SXT concept teaser suggests that it will have a double bed format. The recently revealed spy shots suggest that the Scorpio N Pickup could be standing on 18-inch wheels, has similar door handles as the Scorpio N, and will be quite longer than the SUV. Despite the automaker's presence in the pickup truck segment with Scorpio pickup, it has never been highlighted so far. However, Mahindra is aiming big with the Global Pik Up. Watch: Mahindra Scorpio N pick-up truck spotted in Nasik
Mahindra is developing a new pick-up truck based on the Scorpio N. Recently, a test mule of this upcoming vehicle was spotted undergoing trials. The truck was not equipped with production-spec lighting, but there was a new grille, a shark-fin antenna and a tailgate. Two versions on offer Interestingly, the previous spy shots of the truck confirmed that there will be single-cab and double-cab variants, suggesting that Mahindra plans to offer multiple configurations to cater to different market demands. While an official launch timeline hasn't been announced yet, it is clear that the model is being developed as a global product, with plans to introduce it across several international markets. Because the new pick-up truck is based on the Scorpio N, both vehicles will share a number of elements. Its front-end styling may include the familiar LED projector headlamps, a bold front grille featuring the new 'Twin Peaks' Mahindra logo, and a prominent, flat bonnet. What we learnt so far Differentiation between the two cab styles is evident in the wheel choices. The single-cab version retained the alloy wheels from the Scorpio N, whereas the double-cab variant was fitted with basic steel wheels. At the rear, the production test units appear to have halogen taillamps, which seem to replace the LED units showcased on the original concept. These halogen units resemble those used on the older Scorpio Getaway. The concept version unveiled earlier featured an impressive list of modern technologies, including Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), 5G connectivity, trailer sway control, multiple airbags, driver fatigue detection, and Mahindra's 4Xplore four-wheel-drive system. It is yet to be seen how many of these features will make it to the final production model. Mechanically, the upcoming pick-up is expected to share its powertrain with existing Mahindra SUVs.
