Ahead of Wednesday Season 2 release date, Jenna Ortega confirms Season 3 and spinoff web series
Wednesday, the popular Netflix series, has officially been renewed for Season 3. This early announcement comes just weeks before the Season 2 OTT release date, August 6. Fans are excited as this show is already the most-watched English-language series on Netflix. The news was first shared by The Hollywood Reporter, which spoke with Jenna Ortega, who plays Wednesday Addams, and director Tim Burton. It has also revealed that a spinoff series is in the early stages of discussion. The viral dance scene in Wednesday Season 1 became a huge hit online. People wondered if Season 2 would try to do something similar. Tim Burton, the director, said there was no such pressure. Burton chose the song, and Jenna Ortega just danced without a choreographer. She might have even had COVID that day, according to the director. Burton told The Hollywood Reporter that it was fun because they didn't plan too much. He didn't expect the scene to go viral and doesn't want to force such moments. When asked how many seasons the show should have, he says he doesn't think that way. 'You're talking to two of the worst people to ask that question,' probably hinting at Netflix to take the call. Tim Burton is a legendary name in Hollywood. His films have earned 20 Oscar nominations and won 8 so far. His 1988 film Beetlejuice won one Oscar, followed by Batman in 1989. Ed Wood (1994) grabbed two wins. Sleepy Hollow (1999), Sweeney Todd (2007) and Alice in Wonderland (2010) also received Oscars. When asked about the reason behind their decision to be a part of Wednesday, Tim Burton said he had chosen the web series because it gave him a chance to work in TV for the first time. He also liked Wednesday Addams as a character. Even as an older man, he said he could relate to her feelings. He liked her quiet style and few emotions. According to Jenna Ortega, Wednesday is one of the rare lead characters who doesn't show much emotion and still works well. This is usually seen only in villains. Jenna also remembered how she once auditioned for a Wednesday cartoon film at age 14. She didn't get the part but told her mother she still wished to play Wednesday one day. 'I remember telling my mom, 'That would be cool to be her, though',' she said.

Zendaya's Euphoria co-star reveals unlikely new job amid questions over season three
Don't miss out on the headlines from Entertainment. Followed categories will be added to My News. Actress Nika King has revealed her unlikely new job, as the Euphoria star seemingly confirmed she wasn't invited back for the upcoming third season of the acclaimed series. The US actress, 46, played Leslie Bennett in the first two seasons of the award-winning HBO series, portraying the mother of Zendaya's character Rue. And as the long-awaited third season finally enters production, King addressed fan questions about whether she's returning to the show after she wasn't listed in the cast announcement back in February. Taking to Instagram with a now-viral video, King could be seen donning an apron and scrubs as she washed appliances in a commercial kitchen. In overlay text alongside the clip, King wrote, 'When ppl ask me if I'm filming S3 of Euphoria.' 'A job is a job,' King added in the caption. King previously revealed she hadn't paid her rent in six months as she awaited news of the upcoming season going into production following several delays. Speaking out on Instagram in March last year, King told fans, 'Season 3 is coming out … I don't f**king know. Don't ask me. I don't know. It's one of those things.' The actress continued, 'People are like, 'We need Season 3.' I'm like, 'B**ch, I need Season 3, too!' I haven't paid my rent in six months, and Zendaya's over in Paris at Fashion Week. I'm like, 'B**ch, come home! I need you. Mama need you.'' Nika King played Leslie Bennett, the mother of Zendaya's character Rue, in Euphoria's first two seasons. Picture: Eddy Chen/HBO Euphoria's third season is finally set to premiere next year, some four years after season two dropped. It was revealed in February the core cast would be reprising their roles, including Zendaya, Sydney Sweeney and Jacob Elordi. There were also several newcomers announced, including Grammy Award winner Rosalía and Super Bowl champion Marshawn Lynch. While Zendaya will be reprising her role, Nika King won't return for season 3. Cast members Jacob Elordi and Sydney Sweeney are set to return to the show. Picture: Jeff Kravitz/FilmMagic for HBO King is not the only cast member who won't feature in the new series, with Barbie Ferreira, who played Kat Hernandez, announcing her departure in 2022. 'After four years of getting to embody the most special and enigmatic character Kat, I'm having to say a very teary-eyed goodbye,' Ferreira wrote on social media at the time. 'I hope many of you could see yourself in her like I did and that she brought you joy to see her journey into the character she is today. I put all my care and love into her and I hope you guys could feel it. Love you Katherine Hernandez.' Deadline previously reported season three will see a time jump, meaning the characters will no longer be in their usual high school setting. While little else is known about the plot, creator Sam Levinson told ELLE in a September 2023 cover story that Rue's storyline will 'explore what it means to be an individual with principles in a corrupt world.' Former ‘Real Housewives of Miami' star Lea Black shares post after losing husband
Lea Black reached out to friends, family and fans Tuesday after word spread that her husband had passed away. Top criminal defense lawyer Roy Black, whose clients included numerous celebrities and prominent figures, died at age 80 Monday after battling an unknown illness. 'Thank you for all your blessings,' the former 'Real Housewives of Miami' star wrote on social media. Fans were introduced to the power couple and their young son RJ in the first season of 'RHOM,' which first aired in 2011. They lived in a sprawling, historic mansion in Coral Gables, and Lea gave the Miami Herald a grand tour that year. The pair's annual gala turned into a major plot point after ex cast member Cristy Rice crashed the charity event with two people, and a feud between her and Lea ensued for many, many episodes. Lea, 69, ended up leaving in Season 3 and did not show up for the Peacock reboot in 2021. The Texas native born Lisa Douthit went on to run a successful eponymous skincare company. The philanthropist added that details of a tribute and celebration of life for Roy will be forthcoming 'in a few weeks.' A service will reportedly be held at the New York native's alma mater, the University of Miami. In the comments, condolences poured in from prominent locals like chef Ingrid Hoffman, artist Romero Britto and politician Michael Gongora as well as from former castmates Lisa Hochstein, Karent Sierra and Romain Zago. A few of Roy's onetime clients also chimed in with good wishes, like Joe Francis. In 2008, the 'Girls Gone Wild' creator pleaded no contest to charges of videotaping underage girls, and was released after serving 11 months. The Blacks married in 1994, three years after Lea served as a juror in the highly publicized William Kennedy Smith rape trial, which ended in Roy getting the scion acquitted. The ex reality star told the Herald Tuesday that her late husband always 'fought for the underdog and people's civil rights,' regardless of who they were. 'He understood that we all have our flaws,' she said. 'He was able to separate people's behavior from their character. He wanted the best for everyone.'
