Emergency services were called to the scene following reports that vehicle had rolled on Tuakau Bridge-Port Waikato Road just after 6pm. One person with serious injuries and two others with moderate injuries were taken to hospital by ambulance, while a female was helicoptered from the scene in a critical condition. She died in hospital on Saturday. The Serious Crash Unit is investigating what caused of the incident. Photo: 123RF A man was killed and another thrown from a car after it flipped onto its roof in a late-night crash on Auckland's SH16 leaving four others injured. Police became aware of a car on its roof in the citybound lanes of Point Chevalier shortly after 11.05pm on Saturday. One person had been thrown from the vehicle and another was found dead trapped inside it. Four people were taken to hospital, two in a serious condition and two in moderate condition. The Serious Crash Unit have examined the scene, and the motorway was reopened around 3.20am. The highway is closed in both directions between Te Haroto and Pohokura. Emergency services were called to the crash involving a car and a truck at 8.50am on Wednesday. Police said one person is in a critical condition while another has moderate injuries. They said a helicopter is en route and the Serious Crash Unit is also attending the crash. Motorists are asked to take care on the road, follow the diversions and avoid this area if possible.
