Hard work, focus help students achieve near-perfect scores

Lucknow: Bringing laurels to the city, as many as 26 students of
City Montessori School
and three students of
Seth MR Jaipuria School
scored over 99% marks in
ICSE Board results
announced on Wednesday.
Palak Rai of Mahanagar branch of CMS secured 99.6% marks with a perfect 100 in science, social studies and computer science, and 99 in English and Maths. Palak said that she studied 4-6 hours a day and credited her success to parents and teachers.
Her father, Nirbhay Raj Rai, is a govt employee while her mother, Priyanka Srivastava, is an assistant professor in management department of Lucknow University.
She said that hard work and dedication helped her achieve success. She aims to join IIT-Bombay to pursue engineering.

Adya Chauhan, a student of Aliganj branch of CMS, also scored 99.6%. She secured full marks in biology, 99 in maths and chemistry, and 97 in physics.
Adya focused on classroom learning and practised ICSE and CBSE previous year papers as part of her preparation.
Daughter of Rishi Singh Chauhan, a software engineer, and Renu Singh, a govt teacher, Adya believes that hard work and focus were key to success. Like Palak, she has also set her sights on IIT-Bombay.
Soham Anand, a student of Seth MR Jaipuria School, also scored 99.6% marks in class 10 result.
