Nobel Mendy to Rangers transfer fee revealed as Real Betis defender set to be Ibrox arrival No.10

Sources close to the defender have confirmed to Record Sport his heart is set on a move to Scotland Rangers are set to clinch a €4million euro deal for Nobel Mendy after the Real Betis defender opted for a move to Scotland. ‌ The 20-year-old Frenchman has being weighing up a rival offer from La Liga rivals Rayo Vallecano. ‌ But sources close the 6ft 2ins stopper have confirmed to Record Sport that he has now set his heart on joining Russell Martin's side. ‌ The arrival of a 10th new face this summer will be a welcome morale booster for the Ibrox boss after his troubled start to life in the Govan hot seat. Martin's side have slumped four points off the title pace already with just two games of the new Premiership season played. The new gaffer and his Light Blues squad will fly out to Plzen on Monday for the second leg of their Champions League third round qualifier looking to finish off the job after last week's 3-0 first leg win. And they will hope to have left-sided centre half Mendy available for the play-off against either Club Brugge or Red Bull Salzburg. The Betis kid has only registered a handful of appearances for the Seville-based outfit in La Liga but did feature in their Europa Conference League semi-final win over Fiorentina. Nobel Mendy to Rangers transfer latest as battle for Real Betis defender intensifies

The left-sided defender is in demand this summer Rangers have expressed an interest in Real Betis defender Nobel Mendy. ‌ Reports in Spain claim the Ibrox outfit are leading the race to sign the 20-year-old Frenchman. ‌ But Record Sport has been told that while Gers boss Russell Martin and sporting director Kevin Thelwell are keen on the former Paris FC kid, there is a long way to go before a deal is reached. ‌ Mendy joined Betis and has registered a handful of appearances for the Seville-based outfit in both La Liga and the Europa Conference League. The 6ft 2ins centre-back is naturally left sided and would offer Martin's side a better balance at the back after the new Gers gaffer was forced to start his campaign playing with four right-footed stoppers. Mendy had been due to move to Holland this summer but saw a switch to PSV Eindhoven break down as the Dutch giants had already used up their quota for foreign talent. But Rangers could yet face competition if they do decide to push ahead with a move, with Rayo Vallecano and Club Brugge also keeping tabs on the defender. The Light Blues have also been linked with a move for Arsenal goalkeeper Karl Hein. The Estonia international spent the whole of last season on loan at Real Valladolid and is also said to be attracting interest from fellow La Liga side Sevilla. ‌ Hein has made just one first team appearance between the sticks in seven years at the Emirates but won praise from boss Mikel Arteta last year after signing a contract that will expire in 2026 with the North London giants. After handing Hein minutes in pre-season, Spaniard Arteta said: "Karl has continued to impress us with his attitude and commitment to getting better every day. "We value being part of his continued development and I want to congratulate him on earning a new deal with the club. "I'm very happy for him. Obviously, he had to be really patient and wait for his opportunity. "He came back from his holidays really sharp and prepared; he knew that he had big games ahead of him and he started tonight, and I think he had a really good performance."

Report – Real Betis Advancing In Talks To Sign Inter Milan & Albania Star

Real Betis are reportedly advancing in talks to sign Inter Milan midfielder Kristjan Asllani this summer transfer window. This according to Seville-based newspaper ABC, via FCInterNews. They report that the La Liga club could sign a portion of the Albanian's playing rights for around €6-8 million. Advertisement Kristjan Asllani has come to the end of his third season as an Inter player. The Albanian joined the Nerazzurri in the summer of 2022 from Empoli. Whilst Inter had high expectations for Asllani when they signed him, the young midfielder has never quite managed to live up to them. Asllani has had some positive moments in an Inter shirt. However, crucially, he has never looked like he can inherit a starting spot in holding midfield. Advertisement And according to Seville-based newspaper ABC, Real Betis are keen to sign the 22-year-old. In fact, the newspaper reports, the Andalusian club have already made their move. They are advancing in talks, hoping to convince both Inter and Asllani on the transfer. According to ABC, Betis's strategy would be to offer to buy part of Asllani's playing rights. They reportedly hoping to spend about €6-8 million on the former Empoli midfielder. However, Inter would also retain part of the midfielder's playing rights. Therefore, they would be entitled to a significant sell-on fee. This would be similar to the manner in which Real Betis signed Rodrigo Riquelme from Atletico Madrid this summer.
