SHJOCC launches in-house license plate printing facility
The new facility marks a significant step forward in the club's ongoing innovative initiatives as it enables members and visitors to complete all traffic-related procedures from vehicle inspection, registration, fee payment, and license plate issuance on-site, eliminating the need to visit external traffic departments. With this integrated model, clients can now receive a full suite of services in ten minutes, significantly reducing processing times. This initiative is part of the club's Strategic Plan 2024–2028, which focuses on key pillars such as enhancing the member experience through the Sharjah Customer Experience Program, digitizing services, building sustainable and integrated partnerships, empowering national talent, and preserving vintage car heritage. The plan also supports the club's broader goals of achieving institutional excellence in the sports sector, strengthening brand identity, and encouraging an innovative environment that promotes community culture. Community policing workshop opens ‘I am the future' week in Dibba
Focus on community policing Assistant Officer Khalifa Mohammed Tamrouq led an introductory session titled Community Policing and Its Role in Enhancing Neighbourhood Security. The workshop aimed to instil concepts of community safety and highlight the individual's role in supporting security forces. Participants actively engaged in the session, asking questions and showing strong interest in the subject. Holistic approach to youth development The week's activities reflect Dibba Al-Hisn Club's commitment to the Sharjah Sports Council's vision of preparing an aware, creative generation capable of adapting to change. The programme combines awareness, education, training, and application in a safe and stimulating environment that fosters personal growth and national identity. Artistic and cultural enrichment As part of the cultural component, Hessa Ali Al Marzouqi from the Sharjah Institute for Heritage (Dibba branch) led a candle colouring workshop, allowing participants to express creativity through hands-on artistic activities in a fun, educational atmosphere. Sport and practical learning The Sharjah International Marine Sports Club conducted a four-day training course covering the basics of sea rescue, sailing, and snorkelling. Activities were carried out under expert supervision in a safe setting, blending fun with practical skills. Tech innovation and AI integration Dibba Al-Hisn Club also took part in the Sharjah Clubs' Innovation and AI Competition, hosted at Al Hamriyah Sports and Cultural Club. The club's entry reflected a clear vision of incorporating artificial intelligence into youth summer programmes, underlining its commitment to future-oriented learning.

Mleiha Club transfer members to Zewail City to partake in AI prog
The program is led by Mohammed Sultan Al Khasouni Al Ketbi, the Chairman of the Mleiha Club, along with several Emirati members and supervisors. It aims to blend theory with real-world application, offering participants a chance to enhance their skills at one of the leading scientific institutions in the Arab world. This initiative is an excellent example of how summer activities can evolve to meet the UAE's vision of nurturing young talent through technology. It also reflects the goals of the Sharjah Sports Council, guided by His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, to invest in the education of future generations. The program began with the summer activities launched on June 30th, set to continue until July 31st. Initially held in Mleiha, Sharjah, this program expands to Egypt to provide participants with a more enriching educational experience in a country known for its scientific contributions, especially through the legacy of Dr. Ahmed Zewail. The event took place at the Sustainable Development Center in Zewail City, located in 6th of October City, and was attended by Professor Dr. Mustafa Moussa Badawi, who heads the center. He expressed his enthusiasm for collaborating with the Mleiha Club and emphasized the importance of building educational partnerships in the Arab world, particularly in the growing field of artificial intelligence. The first day of the workshop focused on introducing participants to the basics of artificial intelligence (AI). This included understanding data, how to classify information, and make predictions. Participants also explored practical uses of AI in educational tools like Teachable Machine and Pictoblox. They learned how to design a smart application using a platform called MIT App Inventor. The day was full of interactions, and participants enjoyed building and showcasing their innovative projects. They even had a chance to tour Zewail City of Science and Technology, a prominent scientific institution. On the second day, participants continued their exciting journey by working on their projects with creative tools such as ChatGPT, which helps turn text into images, and learned how to interact with modern AI applications. The event concluded with final presentations and the awarding of certificates, celebrating the hard work and creativity displayed over the two days. Al Khasouni highlighted that launching the Artificial Intelligence Workshop at Zewail City marks a significant achievement in the club's summer activities. It reflects the vision of UAE leadership and the efforts of the Sharjah government to invest in knowledge and equip young people with future skills. He noted that this workshop follows an earlier program called "Our Vacation is Different," which aimed to provide training and learning experiences for youth. Now, it has developed further by taking place at a top scientific institution, demonstrating a commitment to applying learned skills in real-life scenarios. This partnership with Zewail City has been essential in delivering this program to the Emirati community. Al Khasouni expressed his happiness with the enthusiasm and engagement shown by participants during the first day. The workshops and educational tools helped deepen their understanding of AI concepts and connect these ideas with their everyday lives and future goals. Mleiha Club concludes ‘I am athletic' week
Talent discovery and community engagement Throughout the week, the club identified promising sports talents across various disciplines, who will now be considered for further internal training. A key highlight was the 'Generations Meet' event, where young participants interacted with prominent Emirati sports stars, including captains Bakhit Saad, Basheer Saeed, Ahmed Diaa, Hamdan Saeed (UAE basketball team), and Khalid Waleed (UAE volleyball team). The guests toured the club's facilities, engaged in discussions, and inspired participants with personal stories about ambition, national pride, and a love of sport. Daily schedule with a values-first approach Each day began with sessions on ablution, prayer, and Quran reading, followed by various educational and awareness-building workshops. From 11:00 am to 12:30 pm, youth took part in sports activities including mini-tournaments and specialised festivals in football, swimming, chess, volleyball, and water games. A balanced vision of sport and education Mohammed Awad Al Ketbi, board member of Mleiha Club and head of the summer activities committee, said the week reflected the club's vision of blending sport with education and entertainment with values. He praised the strong engagement from participants and thanked the Sharjah Sports Council and other partners for their continued support in delivering meaningful programmes for youth. Looking ahead to future-focused week Al Ketbi also announced preparations for the fourth week of the summer programme, themed 'I am the future', which will focus on life skills, creative thinking, and career guidance, as part of the club's commitment to shaping confident, identity-rooted, and socially engaged young people.

Al Hamriyah: Nurturing youth and community engagement
His Excellency Mubarak Rashid Al Shamsi, Director of Al Hamriyah Municipality, affirmed that the municipality's participation in the "Our Holiday is Different" programme to manage summer activities at Al Hamriyah Cultural and Sports Club embodies the vision of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, to support generations and enhance the role of government institutions in serving the community. Youth welfare Al Shamsi noted that the municipality places youth welfare and building a stimulating educational and recreational environment among its strategic priorities for the Year of Community. This came during Al Shamsi's inspection visit, which took place on Thursday to the summer programme activities held at Al Hamriyah Club under the supervision of the Sharjah Sports Council (SSC). Closing and honouring Al Shamsi reviewed the results of the municipality's participation in the programme and witnessed part of the closing ceremony of the fourth week, which included a review of the most prominent activities, and distinguished participants were honoured amidst an atmosphere of enthusiasm and strong parental engagement. Al Hamriyah Municipality support Al Shamsi emphasised that Al Hamriyah Municipality, as a strategic partner of Al Hamriyah Club, is actively contributing to the programme's implementation by providing logistical, technical, and organisational support, and by participating with specialised teams from various departments, including engineering, agriculture, public health, information technology, corporate communications, and innovation. This is part of an integrated summer plan that includes seven unique events, specialised workshops, and interactive lectures that contribute to honing the skills of children and adolescents and promoting the values of citizenship and belonging. The municipality's social responsibility Al Shamsi pointed out that this participation represents a practical translation of the municipality's social responsibility and its commitment to being present in the fields of positive upbringing and contributing to creating a balanced environment that combines fun and knowledge, contributing to building an aware, empowered, and creative generation. Appreciation At the end of his visit, Al Shamsi commended the efforts of Al Hamriyah Club and Sharjah Sports Council, commending the organisational level and purposeful content provided in the programme.
