The next Shiba Inu? New coin ‘Bitcoin Hyper' becomes popular in presale
Academy Empower your mind, elevate your skills Spotlight Wire SHIB price history, source: CoinMarketCap Spotlight Wire Spotlight Wire There was a time when the Shiba Inu was very popular. But now, the SHIB price has plateaued with negligible new gains even as the market prepares for a bull those who prefer slow burns, the Shiba Inu remains a great crypto token. Investors chasing action, on the other hand, are on the lookout for what's next. That explains why the Bitcoin Hyper ($HYPER) just smashed through the $4 million Inu was launched in 2020, during the peak of the meme coin wave. Dogecoin was going to the moon, and retail investors were bored in lockdown. Thanks to its absurd branding and rock-bottom pricing, the SHIB price took off in no time. The quirky tokenomics model made everyone feel rich on add some utility to the mix, SHIB even rolled out its own decentralised exchange (DEX), ShibaSwap, and a trio of tokens (LEASH, BONE, and SHIB) to enhance the earned its spot through sheer cultural power, but as utility began to matter more in crypto, it struggled to evolve. New investors want memes with firepower. With SHIB navigating lukewarm waters, new coins such as Bitcoin Hyper ($HYPER) are gaining Hyper ($HYPER) combines meme aesthetics with serious utility muscle. It utilises the Solana Virtual Machine (SVM), inheriting the speed and low fees for which Solana is known, while being tied to Bitcoin's substantial brand it's not a Bitcoin clone or a half-baked side chain. Bitcoin Hyper is a comprehensive Layer-2 solution designed to enhance the capabilities of Bitcoin itself. Users can bridge real Bitcoin into the Hyper ecosystem, where it becomes usable in high-speed decentralised (DeFi) applications, token swaps, decentralised apps (dApps), and more. It's the kind of utility Bitcoin has always potential impact is vast. Suddenly, billions of dormant BTC can enter the fast lane of DeFi. What does that mean during a BTC surge? Every BTC that moves into Hyper reduces the active BTC supply on Layer-1, which could strengthen Bitcoin's scarcity also gives builders a new playground. Bitcoin's Layer-1 isn't exactly developer-friendly, but Hyper could change that. With Solana-grade tooling, developers can finally create scalable applications with Bitcoin-native value at their presale has already raised over $4 million and counting, with each stage increasing the entry price slightly. Meanwhile, as BTC flirts with $120K, anything tied to its ecosystem is under the microscope, and Bitcoin Hyper is leading that and HYPER play different games. SHIB is a legacy meme giant. HYPER is a utility crypto with a what matters is this: if Bitcoin Hyper delivers its roadmap, keeps fees low, and expands its Layer-2 universe, it could become one of the key names associated with the BTC ecosystem. In a market driven by narratives, the vision has helped the project win massive attention, right from the presale Bitcoin Hyper be the next Shiba Inu? Probably not. It doesn't need to be. It just needs to be the first HYPER, and it's doing a great job so $HYPER presale is still live with dynamic pricing and rewards. Early entries receive the best rates before each round increases the cost. The earlier the buy-in, the bigger the potential more. HYPER offers passive rewards that are currently pushing past 250% APY (annual percentage yield), which adjusts as more people lock their tokens. It encourages early holders and rewards those who are Bitcoin continues to climb and Layer-2 solutions become the next battleground, Bitcoin is a top altcoin to watch now. Is Shiba Inu a Millionaire-Maker?
Key Points Shiba Inu survived even as other meme coins fizzled out. The expansion of Shibarium could support its long-term growth. Investors shouldn't expect it to replicate its millionaire-making gains. 10 stocks we like better than Shiba Inu › Shiba Inu (CRYPTO: SHIB) has minted a lot of millionaires since its market debut in 2020. The meme coin was launched as a parody of Dogecoin, which itself was a parody of Bitcoin (CRYPTO: BTC), and had an earliest trading price of just $0.00000000051. Today, Shiba Inu trades at $0.000012. That rally would have turned a $100 investment into $2.35 million. Let's see why this canine-themed coin generated such massive gains -- and if it can churn out even comparable millionaire-making gains during the next few years. What sets Shiba Inu apart from other cryptocurrencies? Shiba Inu's anonymous founder, Ryoshi, created the token on Ethereum's (CRYPTO: ETH) blockchain and minted its entire supply of 1 quadrillion tokens before its launch. It's a deflationary token because it can be burned (removed from circulation) but not minted. It also can't be mined like Bitcoin or Dogecoin. Shiba Inu initially gained a lot of attention after Ryoshi gave 500 trillion of those tokens to Ethereum's co-founder Vitalik Buterin, who subsequently burned more than 40% of those tokens. Today, it still has a circulating supply of 589 trillion tokens with a market cap of $7.2 billion. Shiba Inu runs on Ethereum, so it doesn't have its own native Layer-1 blockchain. When Ethereum transitioned from the proof-of-work mechanism to the proof-of-stake mechanism in 2022, it added support for smart contracts, which can be used to develop decentralized apps (dApps), non-fungible tokens (NFTs), and other crypto assets. That expanding ecosystem opened up new ways for Shiba Inu to be spent and staked (locked up for interest-like rewards), but it was overshadowed by Ethereum's native token, Ether. ShibaSwap, its decentralized exchange which was a launched on Ethereum's Layer-1 blockchain in 2021, was also constrained by Ethereum's higher gas (user) fees and speed limitations. That's why Shiba Inu's developers in 2023 launched Shibarium, a Layer-2 blockchain that offers lower gas fees and higher transaction speeds than Ethereum's underlying Layer-1 blockchain. They also expanded ShibaSwap's exchange to Shibarium last year. Why did Shiba Inu's price skyrocket? Many investors initially dismissed Shiba Inu as a joke. But its early association with Dogecoin, its listings on crypto exchanges Coinbase and Binance in 2021, the buying frenzy in meme coins, and Elon Musk's tweets about Shiba Inu dogs all drove its price higher. The launches of ShibaSwap and Shibarium strengthened the foundations of its ecosystem. The bulls expect Shibarium's expansion to draw in more developers, increase the value of its own token, and nurture the development of new ShibaSwap tokens like BONE and LEASH to draw in more investors. Its developers also recently launched a new metaverse platform with more than 100,000 plots of virtual land, and Shiba Inu will be the default currency for purchasing that digital real estate and paying for virtual experiences. Shiba Inu's investors could also burn more of their own tokens to tighten up its supply, and it might gain more mainstream recognition through its payment partnerships with bigger businesses. If its price keeps rising, some crypto companies might even launch their own spot price exchange-traded funds (ETFs) for Shiba Inu -- as they did for Bitcoin and Ethereum last year. Those ETFs could draw in more retail and institutional investors and stabilize its volatile price. Declining interest rates could drive more investors back toward cryptocurrencies and other riskier assets during the next few years. The Trump administration's crypto-friendly policies could also convince investors to take meme coins like Shiba Inu and Dogecoin much more seriously. But is Shiba Inu a potential millionaire-maker? Shiba Inu had a great run during the past five years. But if it replicated that 2,352,841% gain during the next five years, its market cap would skyrocket to $169.4 trillion and make it the most valuable asset in the world. Gold and Bitcoin currently have market caps of $22.8 trillion and $2.3 trillion, respectively. Ethereum only has a market cap of $427 billion. Therefore, I wouldn't count on turning a $100 investment in Shiba Inu into $1 million again by 2030. It's also unlikely that Shiba Inu, or any Ethereum-based token, would eclipse Ethereum's market cap while still running on its blockchain. But if Shiba Inu's value swells 5,900% to match Ethereum's current market cap of $427 billion during the next five years (as Ethereum becomes even more valuable), it could transform a $1,000 investment into about $60,800. That would be an impressive market-beating gain, but it wouldn't come anywhere close to being a millionaire-maker. A lot of things would also need to go perfectly for Shiba Inu to hit that price. For now, it will likely remain a highly volatile and speculative token. Investors should closely follow the expansion of its Layer-2 ecosystem to see if it can attract more attention. If it doesn't, it could sink a lot lower instead of delivering multibagger gains during the next few years. Do the experts think Shiba Inu is a buy right now? Shiba Inu burn rate explodes over 57,000% as whale burns 2 billion tokens
The Shiba Inu (SHIB) burn rate skyrocketed around 57,069.02% over the last 24 hours, with more than 1 billion SHIB permanently removed from circulation in a single transaction, as per Shibburn In a single transaction, more than 1 billion Shiba Inu was permanently removed from circulation through burn, and just days after the same whale burned, an additional 1 billion SHIB was burned in less than three days. Lucie, part of Shiba Inu's marketing team, also confirmed that the address burned 700 BONE and LEASH tokens, expressing a deep commitment to SHIB's deflationary future. She said, "There was another 1B SHIB burn. The address was totally the same, and 2B SHIB burned in a 3-day frame. What caught my attention? The same address also burned 700 BONE and LEASH—unstacked from ShibaSwap." In correlation with this thesis, IntoTheBlock data revealed that SHIB's large transaction count—accounting for transactions worth $100k or more—surged in one day from 65 to 164, a +152% daily increase, hitting its 7-day peak on March 26. Four days earlier, on March 23, the 7-day low was 23. This explosion in whale activity coincides with a 51.8% increase in daily active addresses, which indicates an increase in demand. Data from Shibariumscan confirms that the network now processes 3.8 million daily transactions, a clear sign of continued on-chain activity. Shiba Inu, which has a market cap of $8.38 billion, announced SHIB Pay on March 25. SHIB Pay is a new crypto payment layer for merchants that features fast settlements with zero intermediaries and worldwide coverage. In the next phase, Shib Finance is set to introduce reputation-based lending. It will also provide undercollateralized loans and private DeFi tools as part of the ecosystem developments it offers, pushing the ecosystem toward trust-based inclusive finance. With all the technical prowess on its way, on March 16, analyst Javon Marks said that Siba Inu could explode +500% towards $0.000081. After the burn, Shiba Inu could not break past the resistance level and is trading at $0.00001424, down by over 6%, as per Kraken's price feed.
