Shrinking Season 3 Release Date Could Be Sooner Than Expected After This Update

The release date of Shrinking Season 3 could arrive sooner than fans expect, given the recent update shared by Apple TV. The first season of the series premiered on Apple TV+ on January 27, 2023, and consisted of 10 episodes, concluding on March 24, 2023. The sophomore season, comprising 12 episodes, streamed between October 16, 2024, and December 24, 2024. Its third season was renewed in October 2024. Apple TV officially announces Shrinking Season 3 filming wrap after Michael Urie's update Apple TV officially revealed that Shrinking Season 3 has wrapped production through a video featuring stars Jason Segel and Harrison Ford. Seemingly addressing the cast and crew of the series, Ford says in the video, 'You guys are the best. The very, very best at what you do, and how you do it. And how you make people feel is just f——- amazing. I love this place. I love working with you guys. I hope we can all get back here and do it again.' This prompts Segel to say, 'Yeah, buddy.' However, Ford jokingly responded, 'I wasn't talking to you.' He then took his jacket from Segel and walked off. This came a few days after Segel and Ford's fellow cast member Michael Urie announced Shrinking Season 3 filming had wrapped through his Instagram handle. He shared a photo with another castmate, Devin Kawaoka. In the caption, Urie teased that he could not 'wait for you to see what's in store for Brian (Urie), Charlie (Kawaoka), and the whole gang.' Notably, production for Season 3 began in February this year. Given the release pattern of previous seasons and what Urie posted, we can assume that Shrinking Season 3 could arrive in the last quarter of 2025. Returning cast members for Season 3 include Segel as Jimmy, Ford as Dr. Paul, Urie, Kawaoka, and Jessica Williams. Some of the new additions for the third season are Jeff Daniels, Michael J. Fox, and Sherry Cola. The post Shrinking Season 3 Release Date Could Be Sooner Than Expected After This Update appeared first on - Movie Trailers, TV & Streaming News, and More. Shrinking Season 3: Release date rumors, cast updates and what to expect next

If you're as hooked on Shrinking as we are, you're probably counting down the days until Season 3 hits Apple TV+. This comedy-drama, dreamed up by Jason Segel, Bill Lawrence, and Brett Goldstein, has a knack for making you laugh one minute and tear up the next. It follows therapist Jimmy Laird (Segel) as he shakes up therapy with his no-filter style while wrestling with personal loss. After Season 2 left us with all the feels, let's dive into what's brewing for Shrinking Season 3—release date hints, cast news, and what's next for our favorite characters. When Can We Expect Shrinking Season 3? Advertisement Apple TV+ hasn't dropped an official premiere date yet, but we've got some tea to spill. The show got the green light for Season 3 on October 17, 2024, hot on the heels of Season 2's debut. Filming started in mid-February 2025 in Pasadena and Altadena, California, despite some wildfire drama in the area. Looking back, Season 2 wrapped filming in June 2024 and hit screens in October 2024, so the production crew moves pretty fast—usually six to eight months from cameras rolling to premiere. My guess? Shrinking Season 3 will likely drop in late 2025 or early 2026, maybe around October 2025 to January 2026. The team's sticking to their schedule despite the challenges, which is awesome since they're supporting local communities hit by fires. Keep an eye on Apple TV+ for a trailer or official word on the release. What month are you betting on for the premiere? Drop your thoughts below! Who's Coming Back and Who's New in the Cast? The Shrinking cast is like a warm hug, and Season 3 is bringing back the gang with some shiny new additions. Here's who's hitting the screen: Jason Segel as Jimmy Laird Harrison Ford as Dr. Paul Rhoades Jessica Williams as Gaby Evans Lukita Maxwell as Alice Laird Michael Urie as Brian Luke Tennie as Sean Christa Miller as Liz Ted McGinley as Derek Brett Goldstein as Louis Cobie Smulders as Sofi Damon Wayans Jr. as Derrick #2 Fresh Faces Season 3 is upping the star power with some exciting newbies: Jeff Daniels Michael J. Fox Candice Bergen Isabella Gomez What's the Story for Season 3? The Shrinking creators have said they envisioned a three-season arc: Season 1 was about grief, Season 2 tackled forgiveness, and Season 3 is all about moving forward. Here's what we're expecting based on where Season 2 left off and the latest buzz: Jimmy's Next Steps Jimmy's still grappling with his wife's death, and Season 3 will dive into his relationship with his dad (Jeff Daniels). This could shed light on why he looks to Paul as a father figure. His uneasy connection with Louis, who's tied to the accident that changed Jimmy's life, will push him to find closure. And let's not forget Sofi (Cobie Smulders)—will Jimmy let himself fall for her, or is his heart still too heavy? I'm rooting for him to find some peace. Paul's Journey Harrison Ford's Paul is a fan favorite, and his Parkinson's storyline will take center stage. Michael J. Fox's role will likely bring a real, raw perspective to Paul's challenges, and I'm already bracing for some emotional scenes. Paul's bond with the group will keep him grounded as he faces what's next.

Michael J. Fox Acting Return Set for Hit Apple TV Show

Back to the Future alum Michael J. Fox is officially coming out of his acting hiatus, after five years since his guest-starring appearance in CBS' legal drama The Good Fight. Fox has signed on to join the cast of Apple TV+ dramedy Shrinking for its third season. Further details about his character are still under wraps. However, it's expected to be connected to Harrison Ford's character Paul Rhoades, who was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease. It's the same disease that Fox has been battling for more than 30 years. Fox's casting in Shrinking Season 3 reunites him with series co-creator Bill Lawrence, after previously working together in the hit ABC sitcom Spin City. For his leading performance in the political comedy series, Fox won three Golden Globe awards and one Emmy Award for Best Actor. The said show lasted for six seasons from 1996-2002. The series is written and executive produced by Segel, Brett Goldstein, and Bill Lawrence, with the latter serving as the showrunner. The series stars Jason Segel as Jimmy, Harrison Ford as Paul, Christa Miller as Liz, Jessica Williams as Gaby, Michael Urie as Brian, Luke Tennie as Sean, and Lukita Maxwell as Alice. Season 2 also featured Goldstein as a recurring guest-star. It is executive produced by Jeff Ingold and Liza Katzer, with Warner Bros. Television as its producing studio. 'It follows a grieving therapist who starts to break the rules and tell his clients exactly what he thinks,' reads the synopsis. 'Ignoring his training and ethics, he finds himself making huge, tumultuous changes to people's lives . . . including his own.' (Source: Deadline) The post Michael J.
