SD Property's Elmina Lakeside Mall kicks off 1st anniversary with 'circus gala night'
KUALA LUMPUR: Elmina Lakeside Mall recently celebrated its first anniversary with a packed programme that included the return of the Swiss Dream Circus and a range of family-friendly activities. The mall, developed and owned by Sime Darby Property Bhd, hosted a by-invitation Gala Night on Aug 1 featuring the acclaimed Swiss Dream Circus. The show marked the start of the troupe's month-long run at the venue, with 27 public performances scheduled from Aug 2-24. Led by Misha, a clown formerly with Cirque du Soleil, the international 14-member troupe delivered a two-and-a-half-hour performance filled with aerial acts, juggling, roller-skating stunts and live music. Guests of the gala night included Tengku Permaisuri Selangor, Tengku Permaisuri Norashikin. As part of its community outreach, SD Property invited 125 children and caretakers from several welfare homes to attend the show. Beneficiaries came from groups including Great Heart Charity Association, Pertubuhan Kebajikan Dan Perlindungan Al-Haq Malaysia, Pusat Jagaan Rahoma Subang Jaya and Rumah Kanak-Kanak Triniti. The circus shows are part of a broader anniversary celebration that will continue until Sept 14. Events include the Monopoly Run, the final leg of the Yayasan Sime Darby Arts Festival, a Merdeka Eve musical and fireworks display featuring the Selangor Symphony Orchestra, and hot air balloon rides. Since opening in 2024, the 400,000 square foot Elmina Lakeside Mall has grown into a lifestyle and retail destination for the City of Elmina. Located beside the 14.16-hectare Elmina Urban Park, the mall was designed to integrate with its lakeside surroundings, reflecting the developer's focus on sustainability and biodiversity.

Hot air balloon rides, fun lake activities and circus performances await visitors in City of Elmina month-long anniversary celebrations. Celebrations begin today for a Shah Alam township in conjunction with its first anniversary. The month-long festivities will see arts, culture and community-led activities held at Elmina Lakeside Mall until Sept 1. The community hub for some 870,000 City of Elmina residents is the second wholly-owned mall by township developer Sime Darby Property Bhd. Leading the activities will be the world-famous Swiss Dream Circus that will feature an all-new cast and production. Audiences will be treated to 'Passion – The Greatest Show in Town', a showcase of up to 10 breathtaking acts by acrobats, aerialists and other performers. Among these will be Cirque du Soleil star clown Misha and a 14-member troupe delivering a total of 27 shows until Aug 24. This free, community-focused event marks the 10th anniversary of the festival, with interactive workshops, live performances, and art installations. The township celebrations will close with a Merdeka Eve spectacular on Aug 30, featuring an open-air Selangor Symphony Orchestra (SSO) performance paired with a dazzling drone and fireworks display. Sime Darby Property's Elmina Ridge 2 achieved 90% take-up for Phase One during its soft launch. PETALING JAYA: Sime Darby Property Bhd 's (SDP) latest residential project, the first phase of Elmina Ridge 2, has secured a 90% take-up rate following a soft launch. The development, which comprises 221 units with a gross development value of RM339mil, is part of the City of Elmina township. The project is slated for completion in 2028. 'Elmina Ridge 2 builds on the success of Elmina Ridge 1, which was fully taken up during its launch last year,' said SDP in a statement. Built on freehold land, the development features a premium collection of freehold units comprising superlink (24x70), cluster (36x70), and semi-detached (40x80) homes. The development's built-up areas range from 2,274 to 3,288 sq ft, with prices starting from RM1.21mil for the superlink homes, RM1.76mil for the cluster homes, and RM2.22mil for semi-detached properties. Strong interest in SD Property's SJCC East One project
KUALA LUMPUR: Sime Darby Property Bhd's (SD Property) latest transit-oriented development, SJCC East One, has drawn strong buyer interest, securing an 80 per cent take-up for Phase One of its launch. The serviced apartment units, part of a 27.53-hectare masterplan at Subang Jaya City Centre, mark a significant step in the group's vision to redefine urban living in Subang Jaya. Occupying 1.08 hectares of freehold land, the project features two 36-storey towers offering 926 units. In a statement, SD Property said the units with built-up areas ranging from 682 square feet (sq ft) to 1,435 sq ft, are priced from RM598,000, and cater to first-time homeowners and upgraders alike. SD Property chief operating officer of integrated development Datuk Mohd Idris Abdullah said SJCC East One is scheduled for completion by June 2029 with a gross development value of RM613 million. "SJCC East One answers the call for elevated urban living that revolves around sustainability and reduction of environmental impact," he said in a statement today. Idris added that SJCC East One is setting the tone for future-minded homeowners who desire a sound investment from a reputable developer with a trusted track record. A 130-metre covered pedestrian link will connect the development directly to the Subang Jaya LRT and KTM stations, with an additional walkway leading to Subang Ria Park. The project also offers direct access to the SJCC High Street retail boulevard and proximity to key amenities including Subang Parade, NU Empire Subang, educational institutions and Subang Jaya Medical Centre.
