The Early Fall Fashion Edit: What to Wear Before It's Everywhere

I don't know about you, but this summer's sweltering heatwaves have me looking forward to fall with eager eyes (and a yearning heart for the colder temps once again). So, until the next season officially arrives, I'll be working to round out my cool-weather capsule wardrobe to incorporate some additional pieces that'll make my wardrobe (and anyone else's, for that matter) the crème de la crème. If you're with me, get a head start on becoming the most fashionable one in your circle with the must-have fashion trends for the season, as spotted by the ELLE team during the fall/winter 2025 season in New York, London, Milan, and Paris, below. Vibrant Shades Open Gallery Quiet luxury, who? This season, fashion houses are embracing bold, eye-catching colors meant to turn heads. Whether it be a zesty pop of neon green under a tailored suit as seen at Tom Ford or a head-to-toe fire engine red coat like the one at Saint Laurent, you're about to see a sartorial world filled with new levels of color this fall. Sweater Dressing Open Gallery Honestly speaking, is there anything better than a cozy, elevated sweater to bundle up in? I think not. Chic sweaters are nothing new to the fall/winter runways, but this season feels like another level of sophistication. Fair isle sweaters were among the micro-trends within knitwear, but there was a particularly good number of chunky, oversized options (and sweater dresses), too. Embrace the trend now with a simple crewneck knit, or opt for an oversized option you can pair with a tiny pair of hot pants à la Jil Sander. Heavy Metal Leathers Open Gallery Another fall mainstay: Leather. And this year, it's all about the boxy moto jacket. Heavy, oversized leather jackets were the epitome of cool for this season, and as someone who lives in this silhouette during the colder months, I couldn't be more excited. Sculpted Shapes Open Gallery As much as you may love your more oversized, baggier, boxier pieces, prepare to give those a little more shape. The runways at Schiaparelli, Givenchy, and Ashlyn, among others, showed jackets and coats with nipped waists, adding a bit more structure to your ensembles. Opt for pieces with curved, sculptural silhouettes, like this Simkhai skirt that has a unique construction or print that creates the illusion of a garment that might challenge your notion of physics. Shearlings and Faux Furs Open Gallery If you were keeping a tab on the biggest street style trends during the fall/winter 2025 fashion month, then you already know vintage-inspired faux fur and shearling coats are having a newfound renaissance—and it isn't stopping there. Plenty of designers featured the wintry staple on their runways, including Gucci, Fendi, and Tod's. If that's not a hint to get in on the trend now, I'm not sure what is. Date-night dressing: Taylor Swift makes an effort – and so can we

This story is part of the June 21 edition of Good Weekend. See all 8 stories. It's date night: what do I wear? Finding love can be difficult but, as Elizabeth Taylor (eight marriages), Pamela Anderson (five) and Billy Bob Thornton (six) discovered, keeping it can be more challenging than making it to the end of The Brutalist. For many couples, regular date nights help keep the romantic spark alive, fan the flames of passion and supercharge any other fire metaphor that doesn't involve charred logs. It's been almost two years since Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce started holding hands and their regular date nights show that they're still having fun (while keeping the paparazzi entertained). They're making an effort, even when it's just an outing à deux to a restaurant. While other couples get comfortable in their old trackies, worn undergarments and untouched roots, Swift and Kelce look as if they're still on their first date: there are shoes that require transport straight to the door (strictly no strolling), vertiginous hemlines that demand the strategic placement of a napkin at dinner and attention-grabbing jewellery. Adding a little evening sparkle – see Tay Tay's embellished Simkhai coat – and some subtle colour coordination to your date-night outfits shows respect for your partnership. It reminds your loved one of their initial attraction to you and proves to you that you can still flirt with fashion. For Kelce, that means punching above the average, male date-outfit of blue shirt, old jeans and boots with a sizzling, waxed-denim combo by Nahmias that finds echoes in his partner's red lipstick, nails and Louboutin platforms. For now, it looks as if the couple that dates and dresses together stays together – at least until it's time for another break-up album.

The stylish wife of actor Shahid Kapoor made a jaw-dropping appearance at the launch of her own wellness brand, turning heads in a show-stopping white gown that radiated modern royalty with a dash of CEO energy. With a draped off-shoulder neckline and a soft-ruched bustier detail, the upper half nodded to vintage romance, while the body-skimming ribbed midsection gave it a corseted, Victorian-era structure. The cinched waist and strategic panelling sculpted her frame, offering a masterclass in understated sensuality. Below the waist, the pleated jersey fabric flowed into a dreamy A-line skirt, catching the light and fluttering with each step like a modern-day ballgown. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Trading CFD dengan Teknologi dan Kecepatan Lebih Baik IC Markets Mendaftar Undo Channelling a 'Cleopatra-meets-boardroom' aesthetic, Mira paired the gown with bold gold accents, the kind that say, 'Yes, I'm launching a brand and making a style statement.' Mira Rajput turns heads in Rs 57,300 off-shoulder white gown, looks stunning in flowing silhouette

Mira Rajput, the lifestyle maven and Shahid Kapoor's wife, added another feather in her hat as the founder of a wellness company and adorned a gorgeous look for its launch event. The diva wore a stunning off-shoulder maxi dress for the event and looked every inch ravishing. Rajput curated the dress from the LA-based luxury brand Simkhai with a price tag of Rs 57,300. Let's dissect how she styled her stunning outfit. Mira Rajput was papped donning a whimsical dress and looked like a fairytale princess. The maxi dress boasted a unique tailoring that made it look surreal. Starting from the sleeves, the dress featured an off-the-shoulder pattern with the strap draping around her back. The cupped style featured a ruched pattern that cascaded into a plain fabric, cinched at her bodice. The body-hugging knitted fabric at the midriff defined Mira's waist, giving her a vintage, Victorian fashion form. The skirt cascaded from the waist in a dreamy form as the pleated fabric defined the twirl of the skirt. The soft pleating of the jersey dress beautifully enhanced its movement, allowing it to twirl playfully with each step. The monochromatic white maxi dress gave a statuesque appeal to Rajput's form, accentuating her graceful charisma. Mira Rajput's gold-girly aesthetic Going for a Cleopatra vibe and gold-girly aesthetic, Mrs. Kapoor styled her dress with everything golden. The fashionista wore long, chunky golden earrings, stylishly elevating her understated yet striking silhouette. She wore a stack of wavy bracelets that added to her dress's fairytale aura. She further flung on a metal watch with an oval dial, aligning with her newest CEO-core avatar. Another gilded element in Mira's OOTN was her strapped heels in gilded hue. The sleek footwear peeked through her flowy dress with every moment. For her makeup, the beauty maven kept it subtle yet gorgeous, with a glowy base and blushed-up cheeks. Adhering to her signature look, she applied soft, winged eyeliner with voluminous mascara, accentuating her eyes. The diva rounded up her glam with simple nude lipstick. Rajput side-swept her hair with the wavy tresses framing her face gorgeously. Mira Rajput Kapoor's white dress look was equal parts glamorous and effortlessly stylish, serving as a noteworthy fashion moment.
