How Did Benson Boone and Tom Holland Become Friends?

Benson Boone, man who refuses to stop doing backflips, and Tom Holland were spotted grabbing dinner in Los Angeles earlier this month—an outing that seemed to confuse everyone who had literally no idea they were buds. And naturally reporters wasted no time asking Benson about their somewhat unexpected friendship at the 2025 American Music Awards. The "Slow It Down" singer only had good things to say, telling E! News that Tom is "a great, great human being." As for how they met, Benson said "Just word of mouth and then it got around." Not sure what that means, but one thing is certain: he's down to play at Tom and Zendaya's upcoming wedding. "Immediate, yes, of course, of course," he said. "I'm not gonna pass that over." As for when their wedding is taking place, a source recently told People that "They will just enjoy things for now and won't rush a wedding. They are both busy with work projects." Another insider sweetly added that Tom has "always been crazy about her" and that "he always knew she was the one. They have something very special. Everyone close to them knew the engagement was happening." Cuuuuuute, but circling back to Benson real fast, he told E! News that it's been a wild year for him, saying "It's hard to try and keep up with everything and feel like I'm on top of it. Just a lot coming and going very quickly, and it's a little overwhelming at times, but at the same time like I'm just trying my best. I'm just trying to trying to do what I love, and trying to do it in a way that makes me happy. I got a lot of people on my team that support me, and I have a family that supports me, and that's all you can really ask for. So I'm just doing my best out here."

Benson Boone Details Surprising Tom Holland Friendship at AMAs 2025

Originally appeared on E! Online For Benson Boone, his budding friendship with Tom Holland is a beautiful thing. The "Slow It Down" singer gave insight into his new ties to the Spider-Man star, who he was seen hanging out with at Soho House Holloway in West Hollywood, Calif., earlier this month. As Benson exclusively told E! News at the 2025 American Music Awards red carpet May 26, "He's a great, great human being." But how did the pair become pals? "Just word of mouth," Benson revealed, "and then it got around." He's such an admirer of Tom, in fact, that he admitted he wouldn't turn down the opportunity to sing at Tom's wedding to Zendaya if asked. "Immediate, yes, of course, of course," he said in the interview, airing May 27 at 11 p.m. "I'm not gonna pass that over." Tom, 28, and Zendaya, 28, debuted their engagement at the 2025 Golden Globes on Jan. 5, when the Euphoria actress arrived with a giant sparkler on that finger. More from E! 'It's far away,' he told E! News' Erin Lim Rhodes in April. 'They're both doing a bunch of movies this year and there's a lot of premieres next year so you'll see a lot of red carpets.' Law teased, 'I'm resting up for 2026.' And so is Benson. After all, it's been a "crazy year" for the "Beautiful Things" artist. "It's hard to try and keep up with everything and feel like I'm on top of it," he told E! at the AMAs. "Just a lot coming and going very quickly, and it's a little overwhelming at times, but at the same time like I'm just trying my best. I'm just trying to trying to do what I love, and trying to do it in a way that makes me happy." Of course, aside from his new friend Tom, he added, "I got a lot of people on my team that support me, and I have a family that supports me, and that's all you can really ask for. So I'm just doing my best out here." Benson Boone Doubles His Career Top 10s With His New Single

Benson Boone's album American Heart isn't even out yet, but it's already proving to be a true hitmaker. The set, expected in June, has produced a trio of singles — two of which have already become major radio wins in the United States. The first of the bunch, "Sorry, I'm Here for Someone Else," continues its ascent across a number of airplay tallies this week. As it climbs, it helps the singer-songwriter double his total number of successes inside the most competitive space on one very busy roster, which is regarded as one of the hardest to dominate. "Sorry, I'm Here for Someone Else" lifts from No. 11 to No. 10 on the Pop Airplay chart this frame. It does so in its eleventh week, becoming Boone's second career top 10 on the ranking of the most successful tunes at top 40 pop stations throughout the country. With this latest growth spurt, he instantly doubles his total number of appearances in that tier. Boone had previously only cracked the top 10 with "Beautiful Things." That tune turned him into a pop phenomenon last year, and it spent four weeks at the summit. "Beautiful Things" has gone on to rack up more stays on the Pop Airplay chart than all of Boone's other hits combined. It managed 60 turns on the tally during its lifetime, while his other four have not collectively reached that milestone yet. Boone almost claimed a second top 10 hit on the Pop Airplay list in September 2024 with "Slow It Down." The single, taken from his debut album Fireworks & Rollerblades, missed out on the loftiest tier by just one space, as it peaked at No. 11. "Sorry, I'm Here for Someone Else" also steps up to a new peak on the Adult Pop Airplay tally. On that ranking, it has already entered the top 10, and this frame it moves north one more space — just as it does on the Pop Airplay list — reaching a new high point of No. 6. The cut is also steady at its all-time best showing of No. 19 on the Adult Contemporary roster. Boone's recent single "Mystical Magical" has yet to impact radio in America, even though it appears on several other Billboard rankings. Meanwhile, "Beautiful Things" is somehow still running the show on the Adult Contemporary chart, 63 weeks into its lifetime.

Benson Boone, Taylor Swift, Universal Music Publishing Group Win Top Honors at 2025 BMI Pop Awards

Shortly after taking the stage at the 2025 BMI Pop Awards, where he was being honored with the BMI Champion Award, Benson Boone took a moment between performing hits like 'Slow It Down' and 'Beautiful Things' to thank his co-writer Jack LaFrantz for helping to bring his musical vision to life. 'Any of these songs that you hear, you'd not be hearing without him,' said Boone, who also received two awards for the aforementioned hits. 'The producers and the writers and the people I get to be in the room with mean everything to me, because it does make my job fun, especially when I can bond with those people and be friends with those people in and out of the studio, it means so much to me. So if you're trying to be a musician, you're trying to play shows, you're trying to write songs, you're trying to release songs, find people you love and make it something that you love because I promise you it's the best thing ever when you find gold in a room.'
