Actor Hugh Jackman's ex-wife Deborra-Lee Furness hints at betrayal amid divorce

Australian actor Deborra-Lee Furness expressed her compassion towards everyone who has undergone trauma due to betrayal. The couple ended their 27 years of marriage. While speaking to the media recently, she reflected on healing through personal growth. Furness also spoke about dealing with hurt amid her split with the 'Wolverine' a statement given to Daily Mail, she said her "compassion goes out to everyone who has traversed the traumatic journey of betrayal." "It's a profound wound that cuts deep. However, I believe in a higher power and that God/the universe, whatever you relate to as your guidance, is always working for us," the 69-year-old actor stated that even the most painful experiences can lead to liberation and freedom. She further said, "It can hurt, but in the long run, returning to yourself and living within your own integrity, values, and boundaries is liberation and freedom." Unlike other divorces in Hollywood, which drag for a longer period, Furness and Jackman had an amicable settlement, according to the report. The Australian actor's lawyer, Elena Karabatos, submitted legal documents relating to health care coverage, child support, and the settlement. The report mentioned that the ex-couple is yet to sign the papers in court. The report attributed an insider source, claiming, "There was some back and forth regarding this financial agreement, but in the end, Deborra got what she believed she deserved. Both are coming out of this financially secure. They based their marriage on honesty. But if Hugh didn't physically cheat, she knows that he did emotionally."advertisementThe ex-couple, during their marriage, owned and sold multiple properties, including a $21-million penthouse in New York, a $5.9 million beach house in Sydney, and a property in East Hampton, New York. "They have worked out the details in advance and everything is ironed out in terms of a settlement," the report quoted another source as saying. In September 2023, Furness and Jackman shared a joint statement about ending their marriage of 27 years. The statement read, "We have been blessed to share almost three decades together as husband and wife in a wonderful, loving marriage. Our journey now is shifting, and we have decided to separate to pursue our individual growth."In an interaction with TMZ, when asked about the split from Furness, the 'Deadpool And Wolverine' actor admitted that this has been a 'difficult time' for him and his family. Jackman and actor Sutton Foster sparked dating rumours in January 2025, during a Santa Monica will next be seen in the American biographical musical drama film 'Song Sung Blue', written, co-produced, and directed by Craig Brewer.

'Song Sung Blue,' movie on Milwaukee's Lightning & Thunder, reveals photo and release date

"Song Sung Blue," the in-the-works movie about Milwaukee singing duo Lightning & Thunder, got a first-look reveal April 22 — and a Christmas release date. Hugh Jackman and Kate Hudson are playing Milwaukee performers Mike and Claire Sardina, who performed in a Neil Diamond/Patsy Cline tribute act for years before tragedy intervened. According to a "first look" posted by studio Focus Features, the movie will open in theaters Dec. 25. The Christmas release date — generally, a sign of confidence that a movie has both critical and/or box-office appeal — pits "Song Sung Blue" against "Anaconda," a "re-imagining" of the 1997 action/monster movie with Paul Rudd and Jack Black; "The Housemaid," a buzzed-about thriller with Sydney Sweeney and Amanda Seyfreid; and "Marty Supreme," an awards-season contender starring Timothée Chalamet as a ping-pong hustler. "Based on a true story, two down-on-their-luck musicians (Hugh Jackman and Kate Hudson) form a joyous Neil Diamond tribute band, proving it's never too late to find love and follow your dreams," Focus' summary of the movie reads. In addition to Jackman and Hudson, "Song Sung Blue" stars Michael Imperioli, Fisher Stevens, Jim Belushi, Ella Anderson, King Princess, Mustafa Shakir and Hudson Hilbert Hensley. News about "Song Sung Blue" first surfaced last fall, when Variety reported that production on the movie began Oct. 14. According to Variety, the movie, written and directed by Craig Brewer ("Hustle & Flow"), is based on an award-winning 2008 documentary, also titled "Song Sung Blue." The documentary, shot over eight years, recounts the Sardinas' life and career, and what happened after. Mike Sardina (aka Lightning) died of a head injury in 2006; Claire Sardina (aka Thunder) lost part of a leg after being struck by a car. The Sardinas began performing together in 1989 and married at the Wisconsin State Fair, one of their regular performing stops, in 1994. Among their career highlights was performing Diamond's hit "Forever in Blue Jeans" with Pearl Jam at Summerfest in 1995, a scene featured in the documentary. At the time news of the movie surfaced, Claire Sardina, living in Menomonee Falls, issued a statement about the movie: 'I'm elated and a little dumfounded,' she said. 'All of the hype has taken me back to when my wonderful husband was alive and by my side. It's been wonderful to go back in time.' On April 14, the Wisconsin Area Music Industry announced that Claire and Mike Sardina will be the first recipients of the WAMI Lifetime Achievement Award at 45th annual WAMI Awards Show. According to WAMI, Claire Sardina Claire Sardina will perform live at the May 4 ceremony at The Deco in West Allis, with Jackie Brown and Neil Diamond tribute artist Eric Diamond. Kate Hudson's New '80s Perm Couldn't Be More Goldie Hawn-Coded

Kate Hudson revealed the first look at her new film, Song Sung Blue. In the photos, she debuted an '80s perm that makes her look just like her mom, Goldie Hawn.I know, I know—it's important to chart your own path through life. And Kate Hudson absolutely has!! But if my mom was Goldie Hawn, you can bet I'd be doing everything in my power to be just like her—perming my hair and ignoring most current styling trends included. On Tuesday, April 22, the first look at Hudson's new film Song Sung Blue landed. Premiering this Christmas, the biopic focuses on The Sardinas, a down-on-their-luck married pair of musicians that decided to form a Neil Diamond tribute act in the '80s. Claire (that would be Hudson) and Mike (he'll be played by Hugh Jackman!) definitely knew who Goldie was at the time—Claire's hairstyle can attest. Though we only have one photo to go off so far, the still is very telling. In it, an '80s-fied Hudson and Jackman sit down at a keyboard and sing their hearts out. And while I know it's the 46-year-old in the photo, she really looks just like her mother. In the snap, Hudson's hair is middle parted and blown out to fit the "bigger is better" theme of the era. Her curtain bangs graze her eyebrows just like her mama's did back in the day, and her crimped, curly blonde hair has a texture that could only be the work of permanent solution. Gone are the beach waves. In their place: pouf. Hudson was born in 1979, which means she was just a babe when the Sardinas story was being written. Still, I'm sure she remembers the styles well—especially because she had her iconic mom to look up to. "Loved every second making this beautiful film, working with the most lovely work husband you could ask for, [Hugh Jackman], singing the iconic songs of Neil Diamond, led by our wonderful director [Craig Brewer]," wrote Hudson in an Instagram post that showed off the style (I'm just waiting for Hawn to repost). "More love notes for everyone involved to come… but right now I am just so excited to share with you that we have a release date." As the months fly by and ads for the film roll out, I'm sure we'll be seeing more of the hairstyle. Here's hoping Hudson decides to go full method with her press tour styling... and then maybe stars in a '60s period piece? I wouldn't be mad about seeing her in a Goldie Hawn-inspired shag, too.
