Someone bought a winning $4 million lottery ticket at this South Dakota gas station
A South Dakota Lottery player purchased a winning ticket worth $4 million from the Freedom Valu Center in Vermillion. The player won the prize as a result of the Aug. 6 Lotto America drawing, the South Dakota Lottery said in a news release. They're the state's first multistate jackpot winner since 2018. The player chose the cash option for the $4 million jackpot, which amounted to a one-time payment of about $1.8 million, the news release says.
