Kaizer Chiefs news: FOUR players GONE

This winter's transfer window is expected to so telling for Kaizer Chiefs. As early preparations, the Betway Premiership giants have part ways with four players. While two of the departed players are from the reserve team that plays in the DStv Diski Challenge (DDC), they are not just any pair. The dou are the superstars that were destined for promotion. Additionally, Amakhosi also said goodbye to two Betway Premiership players after failing to deliver on the field of play. The past season saw the 25-year-old Blom join Amakhosi on loan from St Louis in the USA. The Soweto-born midfielder proved an ill-fit for coach Nasreddine Nabi's game model. Blom only made four starts before Kaier Chiefs announced that he is returning to St Louis. In the space of 48 hours, Amakhosi announced the departure of Blom's development teammate Sabelo Radebe (25). Also born and raised in Soweto, Radebe was loaned to Richards Bay FC but only managed two appearances. Sabelo Radebe and Njabulo Blom(right). Kaizer Chiefs 'trend-setter' breaks silence on expiring contract

Kaizer Chiefs 'trend-setter' and midfielder George Matlou is not worried about his soon-to-expire contract with the club. Matlou took social media by storm for wearing his Chiefs attire for days following their Nedbank Cup triumph. Prior that, Matlou subbed himself into the game, replacing Njabulo Blom in what also became a talking point on social media. However, it's now back to reality with his Amakhosi contract expiring on 30 June – the Soweto-born midfielder though is not focusing on that. Speaking to the media, Matlou said he will leave everything in the hands of the club's hierarchy and technical team. He ffurther revealed that he hasn't spoken to his agent about what the future holds, saying he prefers not to talk to his agent in the middle of the season. 'My contract is coming to an end but I leave it to God, I grew up in the church,' said Matlou on Wednesday as per The Citizen . 'I leave it to God, and to the technical team, and the board … but it is football so I am not going to plan for the future now. 'My focus is to win on Saturday and get into the top eight.' 'I am one player who doesn't talk to his agent during a season. I have to focus on the team I am currently playing for. If I start thinking about my contract I will lose concentration on my game,' he added. Kaizer Chiefs midfielder George Matlou had social media talking after he 'subbed himself' into the game. Image: X 'I still have to win more trophies with the club, they have done a lot for me and I have to pay them back,' Matlou continued. 'It was a great feeling for me (to win the Nedbank Cup) … one achievement you are looking for as a player, winning a cup with a brand as big as Chiefs. 'It was a major achievement for me and the club. There was all this talk about ten years, blah, blah,' he concluded. Kaizer Chiefs midfielder says his future is 'in God's hands'

Kaizer Chiefs midfielder George Matlou is not worried about his future despite his contract with the club expiring in June. The 26-year-old joined Amakhosi in 2022 but was limited to just 40 appearances. Matlou has had an injury-ravaged career at Chiefs and never really showed his full potential. The Kaizer Chiefs midfielder featured just 10 league matches this season and is unlikely to have his contract renewed. The Soweto-born star is focused on Amakhosi's last match of the season, which is against Polokwane City on Saturday. 'Yes, my contract is coming to an end, it's coming to an end in June, but I'm gonna leave that to of course to God,' Matlou said as per iDiski Times . 'Because I'm one person who grew up in church, so I would give everything to God and of course, most definitely to the technical team, to everyone, the board and staff, to give me the opportunity if they do, but it's football so I'm not gonna plan for the future now, but now my focus is to win the Saturday's game to get into the top eight,' he said. 'As a player, I'm only focused on the game. The last game we gonna play it's on Saturday. 'So, what's gonna happen next it's the club and my agent, so I'll hear from my agent what he says. 'I'm one player that does not talk to the agent when the season is on, so I have to focus on the team that I'm playing for currently. 'Because, if I'm gonna start thinking about the contract and stuff, I'm gonna lose the concentration on the game,' said the Kaizer Chiefs midfielder. What Tso told Kaizer Chiefs star Shabalala

Kaizer Chiefs supporters seem to be in favour of Mduduzi Shabalala again. Things change rather quickly in football. Kaizer Chiefs' 21-year-old attacker Shabalala was slammed for his performance in the Soweto derby. Last weekend, the Soweto-born youngster inspired Amakhosi to the 2-1 win over Orlando Pirates in the Nedbank Cup final. The former Orlando Pirates midfielder Vilakazi may have played a clutch role. 'I just said to him 'boy, you just need to be yourself in the game and do what you can do best. I know it's hard',' said Vilakazi via iDiski Times . ''Sometimes you find that you want to try something but it's not working but what's important is that you as an individual contribute even if you don't have assistance but come with a plan because at the end of the day when you've got the ball the decision comes from you'. The Kaizer Chiefs youngin said: ''He said ' grootman , it's hard because sometimes you need assistance and you don't get it'. Vilakazi continued:' Then I said unfortunately as a professional player when you are in that position you need to dig, show what you are capable of show us. I mean we can see that the boy is trying but he doesn't have support but if you are not even trying you are as good as dead. 'Well done boy and this is what we want to see from you, to say yes there's no movement but you tried something. I thought they had lost that action when he turned back but it happened that the ball went to [Ashley] Du Preez and Du Preez kept it alive and to the captain,' the former Pirates ace concluded.
