Aldi confirms when back to school uniform bundles will be back for £5

Parents can beat the back to school rush with Aldi's uniform bundle that will be back earlier than ever. With about a month left until the summer holidays, kids across Scotland will be getting excited for some well deserved time off. For them, they don't need to think about school again for about six weeks. Unfortunately, the parents aren't so lucky, as many of them will know that this time of year is always quite busy, especially since they'll be the ones needing to get in all the essentials ahead of a new term. Those who are looking to beat the back to school rush are in luck, as Aldi has just announced when its popular school uniform bundle will be arriving back in stores - and prices have been frozen at £5 for a fourth year running. The budget supermarket chain often comes to the rescue of many families' bank balances when they need to get the kids ready to go back to school, whether that be after the Christmas or summer break. The affordable bundle, which is often hugely popular with parents every year, will officially make its return to the Specialbuys aisle from Sunday, June 29, the earliest it has ever been available. Not only does this give families the opportunity to stock up on uniform essentials well ahead of time, but the range offers a 12-month guarantee, so parents can be rest assured that their money is going towards something that will last. To help kit kids out on a budget, the range includes a sweatshirt or a cardigan for £1.50, while a two pack of polo shirts are priced at £1.75. There's also trousers, skirts and cargo shorts that cost £1.75. That means, if parents were to bag one item of each, they will be spending just a fiver on a full school uniform, so they don't need to worry about breaking the bank at an already expensive time of year. All the items in the uniform bundle have been crafted from recycled polyester materials, with an assortment of colours and sizes available for children aged between four to 12 years old. However, while Aldi's school uniform range is back earlier than ever, allowing parents to beat the back to school rush, it can be popular. And, with Specialbuys, once they are gone, they are gone. So to avoid missing out, it's worth marking Sunday, June 29 on the calendar, as that is when the bundles will be back in stores nationwide. While Aldi has certainly gotten on the ball early with the upcoming arrival of its school uniform range, it is worth noting that many other supermarkets and high street retailers offer them closer to the time, so it's worth keeping an eye out for any future deals. Rival Lidl has also been known to launch its very own bundle for going back to school. While the German chain has not announced details for this year, it was available last year, also for £5, during July, making it another to keep an eye on over the coming weeks. Aldi's school uniform bundle is not the only upcoming Specialbuy that has shoppers excited, as the German chain has recently announced the launch of its new Premium Home Fragrance collection that costs under £4. Boasting an assortment of room sprays, reed diffusers and glass jar candles, the luxurious collection features three "timeless" scents that will uplift any home for spring and summer - bergamot & vanilla, lemon & neroli and mine & white tea. Aldi's Back to School Uniform range includes:

ALDI is bringing back its sell-out pressure washer just in time to blast your garden into shape this summer. The special buys bargain is a whopping £58 cheaper than a similar Karcher model. The bargain FERREX Small Pressure Washer lands in stores this Thursday, June 5, as part of the supermarket's latest Specialbuy drop and it's only £49.99. It previously hit shelves in April and flew out fast, with shoppers rushing to get their hands on one. Now it's back by popular demand, and it's expected to sell out all over again. Aldi is selling a handy gadget that's £70 cheaper than Karcher perfect for getting your garden ready for summer

ALDI is selling a must-have garden gadget that's just under £70 cheaper than a similar one from top brand Karcher – and it's ideal for sprucing up your patio ahead of summer. The FERREX Small Pressure Washer is landing as part of the supermarket's latest Specialbuy range – and it'll only set you back £49.99. Pressure washers are brilliant for blasting away dirt, moss and grime from patios, garden furniture, decking and driveways in seconds – and this bargain bit of kit really delivers. It comes with a 1400W motor and pumps out up to 110 bar of pressure – more than enough to tackle stubborn stains outdoors. It comes with a three meter high-pressure hose, spray gun, cleaning lance with extension and a quick-connect system for easily switching attachments. Weighing in at just 5kg, it's light enough for moving around the garden and easy to stash away thanks to its integrated cable and hose holder. The gadget goes on sale from Thursday, June 5 – online and in stores – but like all Aldi Specialbuys, once they're gone, they're gone. And it's a proper steal compared to pricier rivals. For example, the Kärcher K2 Power Control Home Pressure Washer – with similar specs – will set you back £119 at B&Q, saving you just under £70 if you opt for the Aldi version. The Karcher washer has similar specs, including a 110 bar pressure and patio cleaning capability, but comes with a much heftier price tag. Aldi's Specialbuys have built a cult following for delivering top value across garden gear, kitchen gadgets and more – and this latest deal is no exception. A quick scan on the Google Shopping/Product tab will also bring up how much retailers are selling a certain item for too. Previous garden sales Recently, shoppers were also flocking to Aldi after it dropped its latest garden must-haves — with prices starting from just £2.79. Elsewhere, B&M released a number of garden furniture pieces — including a Sienna double egg chair for £250 and a Paris 2-Seater Pod Chair also priced at £250. Argos has also slashed prices on outdoor and DIY essentials with discounts of up to £60. And earlier this year, Wilko dropped prices on patio sets, lounge chairs and bistro sets ahead of summer. In February, Dunelm had a huge clearance sale with discounts of up to 75% on hundreds of items. And most homeware stores hold sales in the summer. Last summer, Dobbies launched a huge sale with prices slashed by up to 50% on garden furniture, plants, and homeware. WHEN it comes to shopping at Aldi, the best time to do so depends on what you want to buy. For reduced items - when shops open Red sticker items are rare at Aldi's 830 UK stores, but the supermarket says that none of its food goes to waste so there are some to be found - if you're quick. A spokesman for the supermarket said: "All items are reduced to 50 per cent of the recommend sales price before stores open on their best before or use by dates." That means you have the best chance of finding reduced food items if you go into stores as soon as it opens. Opening times vary by shop but a majority open from 7am or 8am. You can find your nearest store's times by using the supermarket's online shop finder tool. For Specialbuys - Thursdays and Sundays Specialbuys are Aldi's weekly collection of items that it doesn't normally sell, which can range from pizza ovens to power tools. New stock comes into stores every Thursday and Sunday, so naturally, these are the best days to visit for the best one-off special deals. For an even better chance of bagging the best items, head there for your local store's opening time. Remember: once they're gone, they're gone, so if there's something you really want, visit as early as possible

Aldi shoppers fume as they spot viral Pilates machine on Vinted for double the price

Aldi's £150 pilates machine has caused chaos in stores are shoppers fight to buy the fitness device before it sold out. While shoppers have been seen to be fighting over the viral Aldi Pilates machine, others have been left fuming as they notice some shoppers have decided to sell their machine for double the price. Normally at the bargain price of £149.99, some Vinted accounts have been seen to shoot the price as high as £400. Pilates has been becoming a popular form of exercise over the last few years as Hollywood A-listers like Jennifer Aniston are known to enjoy the full body workout. As a workout that combines elements yoga, ballet, and gymnastics, many Brits are trying to hop onto trend. However, this is not a cheap form of exercise to get into. Pilates classes are known to only hold a few spaces per session and those who want to try it out at home are having to break the bank to purchase a quality Reformer Pilates machine - which can retail anywhere between £2,000 and £6,000. Knowing this, it can be understandable why many shoppers have jumped at the chance to get Aldi's Reformer Pilates Machine as it is retailed for the budget price of £149.99. However, with so many fitness fanatics racing to stores to snatch up the viral product, the machine is selling out in minutes. On TikTok, user ash-reid spoke about the measures she went to try and secure a Pilates machine. Sitting in the carpark of her local Aldi's at 6am - the shop didn't open until 9am - she claimed she was "ready to go to war" to bag the bargain fitness machine. The chaos in stores over the Reformer Pilates machine became so extreme that Aldi has had to implement a ticketing system. A spokesperson from Aldi said: "We're sorry that some customers were unable to get their hands on this product, however, demand has been extremely high. "To manage the expected demand, we operated a ticketing system, where tickets were handed out on a first-come, first-served basis. "As with all Specialbuys, once they're gone, they're gone!" While many shoppers have missed out on being able to grab one of the budget machines in the Specialbuy sale, some were shocked to find out that a few people who managed to win the 'Pilates machine battle' have decided to sell their machine on Vinted for more than double the price. One Vinted user has been seen to price the " brand new" reformer machine at £341.93 with buyer protection (£324.98 without) albeit with some of Aldi's Pilates accessories included. Meanwhile, another seller going further by retailing the Aldi device, which appears to look older, suggesting that they could have bought it upon its first release last year, at £420.70 with protection (£400 without). Both of these purchases come with Aldi's Pilates balls, while the second comes with an additional Pilates cushion and Pilates ring, which all retail for £5.99 each. This has caused uproar with unsuccessful shoppers, with one person writing on X: "People who got the #Aldi Pilates Reformer and are selling them on Vinted for over double the price are scum, sub-human scum @AldiUK arrest them!" Another person has taken to Reddit to express their disapproval of these sellers. They wrote: "I just need to say my peace. "The ALDI Pilates Reformer machine went on sale this weekend, and very limited. I was very lucky to get the last one just 10 minutes after the store opened. "It's absolutely awful that I'm seeing people who are already selling these machines for twice the amount they were in store. You're selfish and awful. "There would have been people who could only afford the £150 they were on sale for, and there are people who cant afford studio classes. You're just horrible." Another user commented: "I hate people like this. The same ones who purchased the wooden toys from Aldi only to sell them for three times the price. It's selfish and honestly just weird to me. I wish Vinted had a policy on this or enforced something but they never do lmao." The author of the post went on to reply: "I did report one of the listing's just to see what would happen and yeah, there is no policy against it. Super annoying." While many people have gone crazy over the Aldi Reformer Pilates Machine for its price, there are alternatives online that are around the same price or cheaper. For example, Wowcher is selling a machine for only £49. Available in black, pink and purple, this reformer is selling fast, with over 2,300 products bought at the time of writing, as it has received a 51 per cent discount from its retail price of £99.99. Alternatively, Amazon is selling a Pilates Reformer Machine for £89.99. This 5-in-1 fitness board gives shoppers a range of versatility for their work out, with the ab roller boasting a 22KG strong elasticity. The machine also comes with a built-in smart timer to help keep users on track. Join the Daily Record WhatsApp community!
