Lay's Teams Up With Lionel Messi For A One-Of-A-Kind Limited Edition Flavour

When craving potato chips, the first name that usually pops into our minds is Lay's. The brand doesn't compromise on taste and offers a range of delicious flavours, including spicy, cheese-infused, lemony, and sweet-and-sour, to name a few. Now, Lay's has come up with a new and first-of-its-kind chip that caters especially to meat lovers. In their latest collaboration with football icon Lionel Messi, Lay's has launched a limited-edition, lip-smacking flavour called Argentinian Style Steak. Whether you're a soccer fan or not, this packet of chips is worth a try. According to a report by Parade, the bold and innovative steak-style Lay's is modelled after Lionel Messi's favourite dish and connects back to his national roots. Expect a smoky and zesty punch with every crunchy bite. Once the taste hits the right spot, don't be surprised if you're reminded of a mouth-watering, slow-cooked grilled steak with notes of chimichurri sauce. But hold up - the fanciness doesn't end there. The packaging is equally attractive and far from ordinary. Described as the "limited edition Lionel Messi bag," it features a colour pattern identical to Messi's number 10 Argentine jersey. Blue and white stripes dominate the cover, with a photo of the football legend on the front and his jersey number behind him. All About Amala Chai And Founder Akhil Patel The new Lay's Argentinian Style Steak is available only in the United States, at retail stores like Speedway, Kroger, and 7-Eleven. This isn't the first time that the partnership between Lay's and Lionel Messi has led to unique flavours. Last year, the potato chip company launched a campaign urging football fans to chant "Oh-Lays" every time a player scored a goal. This witty and playful twist on the signature "Ole" chant - synonymous with professional soccer - was a hit. Soon after the fun initiative, Lay's introduced a limited-edition Crispy Taco-flavoured potato chip. Needless to say, it was a favourite among both chip and football enthusiasts.

‘Literally the Worst Fault to Chase in a Vehicle:' He Turns on the Turn Signal. Then the RPMs Start Yo-Yoing

You trust your instruments. But what happens when your rpm gauge starts bouncing every time you use your blinkers? Welcome to one of the weirdest and most annoying electrical gremlins a car can throw at you. A viral video from automotive-inclined creator Andywhyisthat (@andywhyisthat) shows the mystifying footage of a Honda idling normally at just over 1,000 rpm. However, when the left blinker is engaged, the tachometer needle starts bobbing in rhythm with the blinker, between 0 and 2,000 rpm, with no change in engine speed. What's Causing the RPM Yo-Yo Effect? The most common explanation? A faulty or corroded ground. Many vehicles rely on shared grounding points for multiple systems. If a ground connection is loose or rusty , electrical signals can 'bleed' between circuits. That's how a blinking turn signal might send a pulse to your gauge cluster, causing your tach needle to bounce like it's trying to keep time with the blinker. There are plenty of forum discussions about this problem. 'When the turn signal is blinking, the tach needle jumps like 50-100 rpm in time and rhythm of blinker,' one user wrote on . 'The engine idle is not fluctuating.' According to Speedway , You Should Check: Negative battery cable (tight and corrosion-free) Engine ground strap Ground connections under the dash Even a small voltage drop can create weird symptoms, especially in older vehicles. A Weak Battery or Alternator Could Make It Worse If your battery or alternator is struggling , even the small electrical load from a turn signal flasher can cause voltage fluctuations. That ripple can interfere with sensitive systems, such as gauges. One Toyota 4Runner forum user noted, 'My thinking is the battery is not fully charged and the extra load causes the alternator to put out more juice, which increases the rpm.' That could mean the tachometer is reflecting a real (but small) change in engine rpm, or just reacting to low voltage and sending false signals to the gauge. On Reddit , multiple users suggested testing the charging system first. A failing voltage regulator, loose battery terminals, or corroded posts can all contribute to the issue. According to Firestone , You Should Check: Battery health and charge level Alternator output (especially at idle) Voltage stability while using turn signals, lights, or A/C It Could Be a Real RPM Change (But Probably Not) There's also a chance the bounce on the gauge reflects a real fluctuation in engine speed, caused by a dirty sensor, failing idle air control valve , or glitchy throttle body . That's especially plausible in drive-by-wire vehicles , where the electronic control unit handles all throttle inputs electronically. A thread on JustAnswer notes that dirty or aging sensors can cause momentary RPM dips or spikes, especially at idle. But more often, these cases turn out to be electrical quirks, not engine issues. How to Tell the Difference, According to JustAnswer: Plug in an OBD-II scan tool and monitor actual rpm readings If the scanner shows steady rpm while the dash needle bounces, it's likely a gauge issue, not a real engine change. Commenters on Facebook were quick to offer their amateur diagnoses, along with some humor. 'Likely a corroded ground. Water takes the path of least resistance. When a ground wire is corroded, it has plenty of resistance, pushing the electricity to take different paths to ground. Literally the worst fault to chase in a car,' one sympathetic gearhead wrote. Another shared their similar experience: 'had a loose fuse cause the speedometer to do that. Only did it while in gear.' And another couldn't hold back with a dad joke: 'Low blinker fluid.... It happens.' Motor1 reached out to Andy via email. Now Trending 'It'll Be $450:' Man Tries to Get a New Key for His 2022 Toyota Camry at the Dealership. The Remarkable Story Of An IndyCar Team Overcoming A Transporter Fire

IndyCar Team Owner Ricardo Juncos The IndyCar Paddock fiercely fights each other on the race track in the heat of battle. But when a team experiences misfortunate away from the track, IndyCar teams and the series rally each other to help those that are impacted. That was the case this week involving Juncos-Hollinger Racing. On the way back from last weekend's IndyCar doubleheader at Iowa Speedway, the transporter carrying Sting Ray Robb's car and equipment caught on fire. According to Chevrolet and the team, here are the details of what happened with a timeline as the team's crew, their competitors, their partners and the series to come together to help them make the race this weekend. Sunday evening at 7 pm: The transporter carrying Sting Ray Robb's No. 77 Juncos Hollinger Racing Chevrolet, suffered a fire on the trip back from the Iowa Speedway to the team's shop in downtown Speedway, Indiana, which caused fire, smoke and water damage to the equipment and cars. Sunday, starting at midnight through Monday: Between friends and the team, three trailers were dispatched to begin bringing back damaged items, which the non-competition team members set out on tables to dry and start assessing what was salvageable. Monday - The crews for the No. 76 and No. 77 joined together to rebuild the No. 76, while they assessed the damage to Robb's car. Tuesday - Both crews' attention turned to the No. 77, rebuilding the car, which suffered crash damage in the second race at Iowa Speedway. Wednesday - The transporters, including the Juncos Hollinger Racing INDY NXT by Firestone trailer, began the trip north to Toronto. 'We had the situation with the trailer on fire, and it was a huge amount of work overload for everyone at the team,' Juncos Hollinger team owner Ricardo Juncos said. 'But we knew that we needed to work, with no options and things like that could happen. 'So, it actually was good to see the whole team spirit with that moment, when things like that happen. I'm really, really happy with them because what I saw as a team owner, it was mega. Mega! The chemistry, everybody helping each other, at that time was just one team pushing forward, and it was amazing to see. So, that's one side 'On the other side, is all the support from IndyCar. Every single team called us, called me right away, offering trailers, equipment, and whatever. 'From Roger Penske to the last team owner, then the series itself, Dallara, Chevy, I mean, you name it. Even, a lot of fans as well, and that was really, really good to see as a team owner.' String Ray Robb was back in action for Friday's IndyCar practice session on the streets of Toronto as he prepares for this Sunday's Ontario Honda Dealers Indy Toronto. 'I'm appreciative (of the crew), but I'm more impressed, honestly, from what I've seen when these kinds of things happen and it knocks its team out completely,' Robb said. 'But they showed up Monday morning at 8.m. and they were there until about midnight, putting everything back the way it should be. My car still smells like a smoke bomb went off in it, but everything is as it should be. 'Largely in part to the fire department doing their job when they got the call and the state trooper doing his job to call the fire department ahead of time and everyone that was involved, I think they're the reason that we're here today. 'So, to the first responders, thank you and then to the team, thank you.' Conor Daly at Toronto. Teammate Conor Daly also spoke about how the whole team was impacted by the fire, especially coming during a crucial five-races-in-four-weekends schedule. 'Honestly it certainly is not helpful for us,' Daly said. 'I think you know mainly for just the crews that have been already working non-stop every weekend and showing up no matter what and showing up when the hours are added to the schedule to clean out a fire. 'That's crazy so we appreciate them. 'There's no easy way to go about it. We are at a tough spot, and we are just going to try our best to bounce back and get through it.'

Tauranga's Baypark speedway lease extended to 2039

Speedway's lease at Baypark Stadium has been extended until 2039. Photo: Andrew Warner Speedway will continue to race at Baypark in Tauranga giving the sport "certainty and longevity". Councillors approved extending Speedway Racing Ltd's lease at Mercury Baypark Stadium until 2039 at a Tauranga City Council meeting this week. Speedway's current lease was set to end in 2029. Baypark Speedway manager Melissa Webb told Local Democracy Reporting they were "absolutely pleased and grateful" for the council's decision. "Securing the future of speedway at Baypark until 2039 gives us real certainty and longevity. "We're looking forward to building on that for the good of the sport, competitors, and fans alike." Under the agreement, Speedway Racing would buy the north stand of 15,600 seats for $1, maintain and upgrade it, while leasing the land from the council through the facilities arm, Bay Venues. The council would retain ownership of the land and the north stand would be returned to the council at the end of the lease for $1. The council consulted on the lease proposal in June and received 3527 responses, with half of these from Tauranga residents. Of those responses, 90 percent supported speedway staying at the stadium and 10 percent did not support it. Speedway will buy and maintain the curved north stand at Baypark Stadium. Photo: NZME Mana whenua Ngā Pōtiki opposed the proposal because of concerns about noise, traffic, pollution and the best use of the space. Their submission favoured the lease not being renewed beyond 2029 and for the land to be used to support whānau wellbeing, youth development, and inclusive community engagement. Speaking in the meeting's public forum on Monday, Bay of Plenty Speedway Association vice-president Barry Andrews said the organisation would be investing several millions that would otherwise be a cost to the council. "There will be next to no impact on Tauranga City ratepayers. Speedway will continue to entertain with its racing, fireworks, and other events. Bay of Plenty Speedway Association vice president Barry Andrews. Photo: Alisha Evans "Fourteen years of no cost to ratepayers and the council gets the North Stand back complete with repairs, maintenance and upgrades." Another speaker, Steve Daniel, told the meeting the speedway's current location in Mount Maunganui was perfect because it was next to the waste transfer station, sewage treatment plant and businesses that made compost. "Great for car racing, maybe not so good for open-air sports athletes. "Baypark certainly means a great deal to me as a hobby, a former place of employment, as a place of memories, and where history was and still is made. "My desire is to protect the location for its original intended use." Councillor Marten Rozeboom. Photo: David Hall The 15,000-seat stadium was built in 2001 by former Tauranga MP Bob Clarkson for speedway and rugby, for $24 million. He owned and operated it until 2007 when he sold it to the council for $12m. Councillor Marten Rozeboom said in his view the stadium had not been maintained "sufficiently well". There was a group of motoring enthusiasts prepared to spend their own money and do what the council hadn't done, he said. "They've offered to fix our council's long-term deficiencies, which I think is kind of embarrassing on behalf of the city to take over an asset and not maintain it." He fully supported Speedway Racing taking over the stand and maintaining it. "Maintaining this for the community to use, for our kids to attend motor events and experience an event that I had when I was growing up, and I loved every minute of it." Councillor Rod Taylor encouraged the organisation to grow the number of the events they had each year to get maximum use of the stadium. He asked speedway to take Ngā Pōtiki "very seriously" as a partner because they could add value to what speedway would do at the site. Baypark Speedway manager Melissa Webb. Photo: Alisha Evans Webb told Local Democracy Reporting the aim was to work with Ngā Pōtiki. "We're looking forward to meeting with Ngā Pōtiki and developing a positive, healthy relationship moving forward." She said speedway was working through the details and costs of the work required. "Now that the lease extension is secured, we're eager to get under way with proper assessments and planning as soon as possible. "While there's still a journey ahead, we're thrilled to be on the other side of this milestone and ready to focus on delivering those improvements." Speedway was at risk of being displaced in 2022 when the commission governing the council had plans to replace the stadium with a multi-use sporting precinct for outdoor netball, track and field athletics and gymnastics. A protest was held and a "Hands Off Baypark Speedway" campaign was launched. There was also the threat of legal action if an agreement about speedway was not reached. In September 2023, the plans were changed to keep the stadium and pits and allow speedway to retain its current lease until 2029. Meanwhile, councillors on Monday agreed to netball's relocation from Mount Maunganui's Blake Park to Baypark. A new Netball Multisport Centre would include an 800sq m new building estimated to cost about $4m, and 23 new courts - 14 asphalt and nine cushioned, with three to be covered - costing about $9.2m, including toilets and a covered walkway.
