Mubama ready to 'stamp mark' on loan at Stoke
Stoke City striker Divin Mubama says he wants "to stamp my mark on senior football" after joining the Championship club on a season-long loan from Manchester 20-year-old signed for City ahead of last season and scored his maiden goal in an 8-0 win over Salford in the FA Cup in initially came through the academy system at West Ham and made 18 appearances for the Hammers first team, scoring his first goal in the club's winning Europa Conference League campaign in March who has made nine Premier League appearances in his career so far, is out on loan for the first time."100%, I'm excited," he told BBC Radio Stoke."Obviously with it being my first loan, I want to stamp my mark on senior football."I know I can score goals at youth level and now it's about doing it at senior level." Mubama will not be the only young forward competing for a place in the team this season, with the likes of last season's League Two player of the year Nathan Lowe and Emre Tezgel, both 19, also keen to get a chance."It's healthy," Mubama said."All three of us have had different journeys to get here. Us being around a similar age, we're still hungry and still striving and you want hungry players in the building because it makes you better."With Premier League experience, his first senior goals and winning a European trophy under his belt at such a young age, Mubama knows he has to maintain his drive because football can be fickle."You want things to continue but let's not forget, this is football," he said"There are rollercoasters and you've got to be ready. There are so many highs but how am I going to react when the low comes? "So it's about me being prepared and I think I've given myself the best chance to be prepared going into this season."I know what I'm capable of and it's about doing it on the pitch now." Mubama will be 'sponge' during loan Mubama has been given the number nine shirt which, although he says is "just a number", he knows it carries a "prolific" connotation."I'm young and not afraid of anything, so if there's big risk and big pressure, you're a footballer and you get paid to do this," he added when he was looking at loan options for this season he asked himself, "Where can I learn the most?"He said Stoke "is a good platform for me to kick on" because "everyone knows it shouldn't be where it is right now".Mubama said the challenge to help the Potters return to the Premier League will also be enhanced by working with head coach Mark Robins - himself a former striker."It's helpful. It always is when your manager used to play and even more when he used to play as a striker," he said."I can learn off the manager and be a sponge and add things to my game. "He knows the Football League a lot more than me so he's got loads of experience. "Start, or no start, I can't wait for 9 August."

Hugo Ekitike move PUSHES Liverpool forward to Juventus
Liverpool played Stoke City in a behind-closed-doors friendly on Sunday, coming out on top 5-0. Among the goalscorers was - who hit a hat-trick against the Potters and sent a reminder of his quality. It is unlikely to be enough to save his Anfield career however with the club willing to SELL the Uruguayan should a buyer be found. Nunez, 26, was Liverpool's most expensive player ever when he joined from Benfica back in 2022. The player's overall fee could reach £85m if all add-ons are achieved but he is instead likely to leave the club this summer for pastures new. He had ambitions to join Napoli - but that deal fell through as the Italian champions were unwilling to meet Liverpool's demands. Juventus enter race for Nunez Then came links with Saudi Arabian club Al-Hilal - with Nunez reported to be considering a move to the Saudi Pro League if a stay in Europe could not be facilitated. But a Serie A move could indeed beckon for Nunez with reports now emerging of Juventus' interest. Juve have lost Randal Kolo Muani at the end of his loan spell while Dusan Vlahovic is also overwhelmingly likely to depart. Although the Turin club have all but concluded the signing of free agent Jonathan David, new coach Igor Tudor wants more. That's according to a new report in La Stampa, which claims Juventus are now 'monitoring' Nunez's situation. Darwin asking price is €60m 'The situation of Darwin Nunez, a target of Napoli and AC Milan in recent weeks, is being monitored,' reads a report on Il Bianconero. 'Juventus is considering a move for the Uruguayan, whom Liverpool have put on the market, especially now that they've closed on Hugo Ekitike. 'The asking price is around €60 million, and his long-term contract (expires in 2028), La Stampa reports, could facilitate a loan with a conditional obligation to buy. Intermediaries are working to find him a new club.'

Liverpool fans reach same conclusion after watching Jeremie Frimpong in pre-season action
Liverpool are expecting big things of new signing Jeremie Frimpong this summer and the right-back has wasted little time making an impression after demonstrating his raw pace in a friendly win over Stoke City Liverpool fans have been left blown away by new signing Jeremie Frimpong after witnessing his lightning-quick pace during the team's 5-0 pre-season win over Stoke City. Frimpong joined Liverpool for around £30million this summer as a direct replacement for Trent Alexander-Arnold, who joined Real Madrid for around £10m. Alexander-Arnold will be a tough act to follow after coming through the academy and helping the club to two Premier League titles and the Champions League, becoming one of the team's top players after making 354 appearances. But Frimpong appears to have eased the minds of supporters after impressing against the Potters as he demonstrated how dangerous he can be on the flanks with his sheer speed. Darwin Nunez netted a hat-trick during the behind-closed-doors friendly at Liverpool's AXA training centre, while record signing Florian Wirtz chipped in with two assists. But it was Frimpong that was generating much of the discussion on social media after the game as fans raved about his explosive pace. He actually started on the wing for this game and some supporters suggested he could even replace Mohamed Salah when the Egyptian leaves for AFCON later this year. One post read: "Frimpong played RW and was an absolute weapon, combining with Conor Bradley many times. He's definitely going to be Salah's backup when Salah goes to AFCON. Another added: "Bro Jeremie Frimpong is ridiculously quick nobody is catching this guy wtf." A third fan was left in awe by Frimpong as he wrote: "I know it's only Stoke in pre season but Frimpong in these clips..." "Bradley x Frimpong on the pitch at the same time," another tweet read. "What is Arne Slot cooking?" Frimpong also played half of Liverpool's 3-1 friendly win over Preston last week. He is seen as one of Europe's most exciting right-sided players after helping Bayer Leverkusen win their first ever Bundesliga title in 2024. Last season the Manchester City academy graduate scored five and assisted another eight after playing 48 games in all competitions. He made a total of 190 appearances for Leverkusen after joining from Celtic in 2020.
