HQA's third summer program comes to an end
The program was a huge success, attracting over 1,050 participants. Additionally, more than 293,000 people followed the live broadcasts on the academy's social media platforms during various sessions. This strong turnout shows that the community is very interested in summer programs that focus on personal growth and learning, helping individuals enhance their academic, personal, and social skills. During the closing ceremony of the third summer program, Dr Abdullah Khalaf Al Hosani, Secretary General of the Holy Quran Academy, stated that the activities conducted are aligned with the Academy's vision to enhance the scientific and cognitive skills of community members. He noted that the participation observed in these scientific events and summer programs demonstrates the Academy's role in promoting its scientific message, which is connected to the vision of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah. The Academy aims to serve as a scientific and creative hub that supports human advancement and reinforces Sharjah's status as a center dedicated to the study of the Holy Quran, its sciences, and its significant figures. The program featured a variety of training courses and workshops designed to help participants improve their skills in different areas. These included lessons on Quranic calligraphy and decoration, the fundamentals of proper pronunciation and recitation of the Quran (known as Tajweed), personal reflections on experiences with the Quran, and guidance for the future. At the end of the program, Al Hosani recognized and celebrated the strategic partners and exceptional participants from the third summer program. The event was attended by the well-known reciter Hazza Al Belushi and several officials.

SEC approves executive regulations of Human Resources Law
During the meeting, the SEC discussed various important issues, focusing on how to effectively monitor the performance of government departments and agencies. The Council also discussed updating laws and regulations to ensure that workers' rights are protected in Sharjah. The Council would like to extend its heartfelt thanks to His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, for his unwavering support and insightful leadership. His Highness's efforts have greatly improved the working conditions for government employees. His Highness is committed to establishing a robust government that functions effectively and prioritizes its citizens. By focusing on the needs of employees and enhancing their quality of life, His Highness has established important rules and guidelines that ensure job security. This commitment is essential for fostering overall development in Sharjah, making it a better place for everyone. The Council has approved new rules based on Decree-Law No. (2) of 2025 that focus on human resources in Sharjah. These changes aim to create clear and effective guidelines for managing and developing the workforce. The goal is to enhance the work environment, clarify the roles and responsibilities of employees in government jobs, and promote efficiency, fairness, and job security in alignment with the government's goals for the emirate. The executive regulations outline the procedures for how employees and government agencies interact and manage their work relationships. These regulations encompass a comprehensive set of rules and guidelines that address various administrative topics. In total, there are nine main sections, 130 articles detailing specific points, 33 tables for easy reference, and 30 forms and applications that employees may need to use. The regulations cover various aspects of employment and hiring practices. They establish guidelines for various committees that oversee these processes, as well as rules governing bonuses, incentives, and benefits. There are also details about how promotions work and how to resolve any workplace status issues. Additionally, the regulations outline rules for working hours, leave policies, and expectations for workplace behavior. They specify when disciplinary actions can be taken and the circumstances under which an employee may be terminated. Finally, there are some concluding points that wrap up the regulations. The Council has approved new rules to enhance the efficiency of the Sharjah Government. This is part of their ongoing effort to modernize systems, support local talent, and foster a work environment that prioritizes innovation and productivity. The Council also encouraged all Sharjah Government employees to work harder and more sincerely to help achieve the vision set by His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah and to support the overall growth goals of the emirate.

23 July 2025 11:35 ABU DHABI (WAM)Their Highnesses the Supreme Council Members and Rulers of the Emirates have sent congratulatory messages to President Abdel-Fattah El Sisi of the Arab Republic of Egypt on the anniversary of the July 23rd messages were sent by Their Highnesses the Rulers, Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammad Al Qasimi of Sharjah, Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi of Ajman, Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi of Fujairah, Sheikh Saud bin Rashid Al Mu'alla of Umm Al Qaiwain, and Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi of Ras Al Crown Princes and Deputy Rulers of Ajman, Fujairah, Umm Al Quwain, and Ras Al Khaimah also dispatched similar messages to the Egyptian President.

RUWAD issues 2024 annual report, celebrating its 20th anniversary
Inspiring journey In his opening remarks, Hamad Ali Abdullah Al Mahmoud highlighted the significance of RUWAD, which was established in 2005 by His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah. This initiative represents a key moment reflecting the leadership's belief in the important role that young people play in improving their communities and countries. The goal is to provide young entrepreneurs with the tools, resources, and support they need to make valuable contributions to the economy of Sharjah. Over the past twenty years, the Foundation has successfully created a model to help foster a vibrant environment for entrepreneurs. This model supports the growth of small businesses through effective organizational work and focuses on developing this important economic sector. It has assisted thousands of Emirati entrepreneurs, regardless of gender, by offering training, guidance, and resources to help them turn their ideas into successful businesses. These efforts not only boost the local economy but also enhance the variety and quality of services and products available in the community. Al Mahmoud emphasized that Ruwwad will continue to be a symbol of inspiration in Sharjah's commitment to investing in its people and nurturing their innovative ideas. Figures and achievements Fatima Al Ali, the Acting Director of RUWAD, highlighted that over the last 20 years, Sharjah has shown remarkable success by focusing on its most important asset—its people. She emphasized that supporting individuals is key to driving progress and achieving the city's goals. The Foundation is dedicated to creating a thriving environment for entrepreneurs in Sharjah, helping them reach new heights and continuous success. In 2024, RUWAD funded 13 new projects with a total investment of AED 2,860,000. They also welcomed 449 new projects into their membership network. Many existing projects renewed their membership, with 330 projects extending for a second and third year, and 135 projects continuing for their fourth and fifth years. The Foundation organized 57 training programs and workshops that benefited 1,414 participants. They provided 118 different consultations and conducted 220 visits to various projects. Additionally, 81 projects received support through a classification and evaluation program, and projects valued at AED 8,727,000 were given exemptions from government fees. Members of this organization made purchases amounting to about AED 3,485,000 last year. The number of projects joining business centers and incubation programs in Sharjah and beyond also grew to 36. Road to leadership and partnership Amina Mohammed, the Director of the Training, Research, and Events Department, spoke about how important government policies are in supporting entrepreneurship in Sharjah. She mentioned that these policies play a key role in boosting the local economy, encouraging innovation, and helping young leaders succeed. Amina highlighted that RUWAD serves as a vital connection between various projects and government agencies that support entrepreneurship. The organization organizes numerous activities and programs that foster partnerships and communication. She shared some successes from the past year, noting that there were 22 partnerships formed between projects, 17 visits and meetings organized with partners, 11 media visits, and 9 community initiatives launched. Additionally, RUWAD participated in 10 external events and forums, showcasing several member projects. On a more personal note, Amina mentioned that the organization has made significant strides in creating a positive work environment for its employees, achieving an impressive satisfaction rate of 88%. Furthermore, they have made notable progress in hiring Emiratis, reaching an Emiratisation rate of 97%.

Rulers of Emirates condole on passing of Prince Faisal bin Khalid
The messages were sent by Their Highnesses the Rulers, Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammad Al Qasimi of Sharjah, Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi of Ajman, Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi of Fujairah, Sheikh Saud bin Rashid Al Mu'alla of Umm Al Qaiwain, and Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi of Ras Al Khaimah. Their Crown Princes and Deputy Rulers also sent similar messages of condolences to the Saudi King.
