Rajinikanth's Lal Salaam OTT release: When and where to watch the sports drama

Despite the box office failure of Lal Salaam, this Rajinikanth-starrer directed by his daughter Aishwarya Rajinikanth has managed to stay in conversations, not for the right reasons initially, but now, with a surprising turn of events, fans have something to look forward to. Nearly a year since its theatrical release, Lal Salaam is finally set to make its digital debut. The film, which was released in 2023 and failed to leave a mark in cinemas, is now arriving on OTT for Bakrid on June 6 on the Sun Nxt platform. The OTT platform took to social media and said, 'Just two days left for Moideen Bhai's arrival! Lal Salaam - The Extended Version streaming from June 6 on Sun NXT.' It also features Dhanya Balakrishna, Jeevitha Rajashekar, Thambi Ramaiah, Ananthika Sanilkumar, Vivek Prasanna, and Thangadurai in important roles. AR Rahman 's soundtrack, paired with the film's emotional undercurrent, adds depth to the narrative. Produced by Lyca Productions, Lal Salaam might finally get the audience it missed out on when it first released. Lal Salaam is a 2024 Tamil-language sports action drama directed by Aishwarya Rajinikanth. Superstar Rajinikanth makes an extended cameo appearance. Lal Salaam follows Thiru and Shamsuddin, two talented cricketers from Murarbad, a village where Hindus and Muslims coexist peacefully. Despite their childhood rivalry, their families remain close. However, political forces seek to exploit their differences for electoral gain. A cricket match turns violent, injuring Shamsuddin and triggering communal unrest. Thiru, ostracised by his village, redeems himself by winning matches to fund a local temple festival. In Mumbai, he unknowingly saves Shamsuddin during a riot, mending their bond. When the true instigator, Raj, is exposed, harmony is restored as both communities unite to celebrate the Thiruvizha together.
