Politics erupts over Jagdeep Dhankhar's sudden resignation, SIT to probe Dharmasthala 'mass burial' case
In this episode of Super 6, the focus is on the sudden resignation of Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar, who cited health reasons for his departure. The move has sparked intense political speculation, with questions arising about a potential rift with the central government. The programme examines claims from sources that the government was caught off guard and was unhappy with Dhankhar for admitting two impeachment notices from the opposition in the Rajya Sabha against Justice Verma and Justice Shekhar Yadav. This development came just ten days after Dhankar stated, "I will retire at the right time, August 2027, subject to divine intervention." The opposition is questioning the circumstances of the resignation, with Mamata Banerjee calling it a "mystery" and stating that "parliament will ask questions on exactly why Jagdeep Dhankar has resigned." Other major news points include a setback for the Congress party from the Income Tax tribunal, ordering it to pay tax on an income of Rs 199 crore from 2017-18, Prime Minister Modi's upcoming tour of the UK and Maldives, the formation of a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to probe allegations of mass murders in Dharmasthala.

The new store - which throws open its doors at 8am that day - will be run by store manager Spencer Kearney, along with a team of 27 colleagues from the local community. When it was mooted earlier this year the 21,000 sq ft supermarket just off the A494 was expected to be one of the largest in the UK. Mr Kearney and his team will be joined by Olympic bronze medal-winning diver Lois Toulson to celebrate the store opening by cutting a ribbon on the opening morning. Lois will also give away complimentary bags of fresh fruit and vegetables from Aldi's famous Super 6 range to the first 30 customers in the queue. Mr Kearney said: 'We can't wait to open the doors to the new store in Deeside. It's set to be a special day and having Olympic hero Lois Toulson join us will make it a morning to remember.' Lois added: 'I'm so excited to be opening Aldi's new store. It will be great to chat to customers and a lovely way for me to thank Aldi for its support of Team GB.' The new Aldi store is also calling on local charities and food banks in Deeside to register with Neighbourly, a community engagement platform that links businesses to charitable organisations in the local community. Local charities that register will be able to collect surplus food and perishable products, such as fruit, vegetables and baked goods, seven days a week. Any charities in the area that would like to partner up with the new Aldi store should email aldi@

Andhra woos investors as Karnataka pauses aerospace park land deal amid protests
In this episode of Super 6, the discussion focusses on the competition for aerospace investment between Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh. This follows the Karnataka government's decision to pause the land acquisition process for a proposed aerospace park, a move attributed to ongoing farmer protests against what they term a 'coercive' process. While the Karnataka government asserts it is not abandoning its aerospace ambitions but balancing them with farmers' interests, Andhra Pradesh has extended an open invitation to aerospace companies. A spokesperson for the Karnataka Congress stated, "What we have paused right now was a coercive land acquisition process. Not our aerospace ambition, what we have simply done is what we have promised." The debate explores whether Andhra Pradesh's proactive pitch could divert investment from Karnataka, with the TDP highlighting its new space policy and the BJP criticizing the current Karnataka government for potentially losing out on development opportunities.
