Sanders, the most accurate quarterback in college football in 2024, had a different story. He fell to the fifth round, where the Cleveland Browns traded up to take him at No. 144 overall. Sanders' fall was one of the most notable draft-day slides in modern history. He enters the offseason in an opportunistic place, though, as the Browns have no undisputed starter at quarterback. He could take advantage and become the starter over a crowded room featuring former first-round pick Kenny Pickett, Super Bowl 47 MVP Joe Flacco and fellow rookie Dillon Gabriel. The Colorado duo helped spurn a two-year turnaround that moved the Buffaloes from a one-win squad to a top-25 team. Now that they're in the NFL, will they play each other in their rookie seasons? Harbaugh will look to get back to the NFL's biggest stage in 2025 as he takes aim at a second ring as a head coach. He won his first Super Bowl in 2013, when he led Baltimore to a win in Super Bowl 47 against the San Francisco 49ers – then coached by his brother Jim Harbaugh.

Broncos LB coach Michael Wilhoite arrested on felony assault charge for allegedly punching police officer
Denver Broncos outside linebackers coach Michael Wilhoite was arrested on Sunday and faces a felony assault charge for allegedly assaulting a police officer, the Denver Post reported. Wilhoite, 38, pulled into the arrivals drop-off lane at Denver International Airport on Sunday afternoon and left his vehicle unattended, according to court records. A uniformed police officer working curb assignment approached Wilhoite when he returned to his vehicle and was told he could not leave his vehicle unattended in that area. In response, Wilhoite twice told the officer to "shut the f*** up," then confronted him and "bumped his chest," said the affidavit. The officer shoved Wilhoite back and the coach responded by punching him in the face, according to police reports. As Wilhoite attempted to get back into his car, the officer fired his taser, hitting the coach at his left hip and side. Wilhoite was shocked for a few seconds by the taser, but then got into his vehicle and drove away. The officer had "visible injuries" on his knees and jaw pain after the alleged altercation, according to court records. Wilhoite was later arrested and booked into Denver County Jail with a $5,000 bond. He appeared in court on Monday morning to face the charges and is expected to post bond later in the day. "We are aware of a situation involving Michael Wilhoite that occurred Sunday and are in the process of gathering more information," said a Broncos spokesperson, according to Denver's 9News. Wilhoite has been on the Broncos' defensive staff for the past two seasons under coordinator Vance Joseph. He previously worked with Denver coach Sean Payton on the New Orleans Saints' staff as a special teams assistant. Between his stints in New Orleans and Denver, Wilhoite was a linebackers coach with the Los Angeles Chargers for two seasons. He played six years in the NFL with the San Francisco 49ers and Seattle Seahawks. During the 2011 season, Wilhoite moved from the 49ers' practice squad to the active roster and played on special teams during the team's run to Super Bowl 47.

KC Chiefs WR Xavier Worthy becomes first Texas Longhorn to score a Super Bowl TD in loss It finally happened. A Texas Longhorn has scored a touchdown in the Super Bowl. It has been an oddity for years that a Texas Ex has never scored a TD an any Super Bowl before Sunday. But that run is over after Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Xavier Worthy caught a 24-yard pass from Patrick Mahomes for the Chiefs first score late in the third quarter. Worthy wasn't done either. With less than two left in the game, Mahomes let loose a 50-yard bomb to the former Longhorn for another TD. The touchdown was a footnote in a dominant 40-22 Philadelphia Eagles win in Super Bowl 59. Worthy was arguably the best Chiefs player on offense. The NFL combine 40-yard dash record-holder finished the night with eight catches, two touchdowns and a game-high 157 yards. The 157 yards is also a career high for Worthy, who wraps up his first NFL postseason with 19 catches for 287 yards and three touchdowns. Worthy isn't the first Texas Ex to score in a Super Bowl. That honor went to Baltimore Ravens kicker Justin Tucker in Super Bowl 47, who scored 10 points on two field goals and four extra points. But Worthy is now the highest scoring Longhorn in Super Bowl history.
