According to Turkish outlet Now Spor via FCInterNews, the reigning Super Lig holders have rekindled their pursuit of Calhanoglu. Calhanoglu's future has been among the major talking points this summer. Indeed, the 31-year-old has emerged as a concrete target for the two most successful Turkish clubs. However, Galatasaray's opening bid for the ex-AC Milan playmaker failed to meet Inter's demands. Galatasaray Reignite Interest in Inter Milan Star Hakan Calhanoglu Despite their readiness to offer Hakan Calhanoglu a lucrative contract, Galatasaray refused to put a €30 million bid on the table. Therefore, negotiations with Inter never took off, resulting in the Rams Park outfit pulling the plug on the deal. Yet, after withdrawing from the race for the skilled midfielder, Okan Buruk's men have had a change of heart. Indeed, they will rival Fenerbahce for Calhanoglu's services. On the other hand, Inter are already scouring the market for replacements.

Report – Inter Milan & Turkey Megastar Drawing Closer To Fenerbahce Move, Video Call Between Clubs Coming Soon

Talks between Inter Milan and Fenerbahce for Hakan Calhanoglu are gaining momentum as the midfielder's exit looms. According to Turkish journalist Taylan Sedef via FCInterNews, the club chiefs will soon have a video chat to discuss the transfer. Fenerbahce's interest in Hakan Calhanoglu is developing rapidly. Despite only recently joining bitter rivals Galatasaray in the race for the 31-year-old, they're already in the front seat. Indeed, they've quickly leapfrogged the Rams Park outfit and could soon seal the deal with Inter. Inter Milan & Fenerbahce Set for Video Call to Discuss Hakan Calhanoglu Transfer Unlike Galatasaray, Fenerbahce are willing to negotiate the player's price tag. While the reigning Super Lig holders refused to meet Inter's demands, Jose Mourinho's side could at least come close. Indeed, Inter's €35 million asking price is well-documented. However, there's a feeling that the Nerazzurri would sanction the Turk's departure for €25m. Beppe Marotta and Ali Koc will discuss terms over the phone later this evening. Meanwhile, Fenerbahce will offer Calhanoglu around €6m net per season as well as the captain's armband. On the other hand, Inter must return to the market for a top-class replacement, with Ederson still a dream signing.

Fenerbahce President Drops Bombshell Revealing Inter Milan Star's Confession: 'Would Like To Play For Fenerbahce'

Fenerbahce president Ali Koc dropped a bombshell when he announced Hakan Calhanoglu told him he was ready to leave Inter Milan for Istanbul. According to Turkish journalist Yagız Sabuncuoglu via FCInterNews, Koc revealed the 31-year-old's shocking confession. Rumors surrounding Calhanoglu's future have been swirling for weeks. Indeed, reigning Super Lig holders Galatasaray were keen to sign the Turkey captain. However, they failed to find an agreement with Inter. Despite Galatasaray's readiness to offer Hakan Calhanoglu substantial wages, they had no intention of meeting Inter's demands. For context, they were ready to hand the former AC Milan midfielder a lucrative contract worth €10 million net per season. Meanwhile, they deemed Inter's €35m asking price excessive, hoping to close a deal at €10m instead. Therefore, the clubs were never likely to reach an agreement. Just as talks linking Calhanoglu to Galatasaray started to fade away, Fenerbahce have entered the frame. Inter Milan Star Hakan Calhanoglu Wants to Join Fenerbahce Fenerbahce president Ali Koc held talks with Calhanoglu to learn his wage demands and Inter's request. Indeed, Jose Mourinho's men are seemingly willing to challenge their arch-rivals for the playmaker's signature. Moreover, they may even beat Galatasaray's offer. 'President, if you accept my salary, I would like to play for Fenerbahce,' Calhanoglu reportedly told Koc. For now, it's uncertain whether Calhanoglu really said those words. However, the player's silence amid wild transfer talks only adds to the speculation surrounding his San Siro fate. Furthermore, Koc's revelation added an unexpected twist to the ongoing saga. As for Inter, they must prepare for every scenario. Therefore, Cristian Chivu's men have already identified several potential candidates to replace the Turk. Atalanta's Ederson has emerged as a dream target, but his price tag is outside Inter's reach.

Former Man United manager eyes Marcus Rashford reunion with a 'record-breaking offer being prepared'

Marcus Rashford is reportedly wanted by Turkish Super Lig outfit Fenerbahce. Rashford's Manchester United career appears to be over and he has not played for the Old Trafford club since declaring in December last year that he wanted a 'new challenge'. He was loaned out to Aston Villa for the second half of the 2024-25 season but that challenge ended when the Midlands outfit opted against signing him permanently. Rashford has returned to United's Carrington base for pre-season training but he is not working with the first-team group. United manager Ruben Amorim is keen to move Rashford on and could get his wish courtesy of one former Red Devils boss. Jose Mourinho worked with Rashford for two and a half seasons at Old Trafford and, according to T24, now wants to be reunited with him at Fenerbahce. It is claimed that Fenerbahce are preparing to make an offer to sign Rashford, initially on loan, with the option to sign him permanently for around €46 million (£53m). Should that deal go all the way through then it would smash Fenerbahce's current transfer record. Moroccan forward Youssef En-Nesyri is currently the most expensive signing in Fenerbahce's 118-year history, having cost around €20m (£17.3m) when he arrived from Sevilla in July 2024. Mourinho, who took charge of 144 United games between August 2016 and December 2018, has been at Fenerbahce since June last year. He guided them to second place in Turkey last season, finishing 11 points behind champions Galatasaray. Rashford has scored 138 goals in 426 games during his United career. Twenty-eight of those goals came on Mourinho's watch.
