Rosé's Biggest Single Returns To An Important Region Months Into Its Life

Bruno Mars and Rose's 'Apt' climbs again in its fortieth week on U.K. charts, returning to the top ... More 40 and appearing on five tallies simultaneously. NEW YORK, NEW YORK - MAY 05: Rose attends "Superfine: Tailoring Black Style", the 2025 Costume Institute Benefit, at Metropolitan Museum of Art on May 05, 2025 in New York City. (Photo by) By the time most pop songs hit 40 weeks on any chart, they're lucky to even still be present. Pop music is known for its quick turnover rate, and while a very lucky few smashes can remain in the public's mind for months, if not years, that kind of success is incredibly rare. Bruno Mars and Rosé scored a surprisingly sturdy smash with 'Apt.,' which didn't just earn a lofty debut or reach impressive positions on the charts, it's managed to stick around for dozens of weeks. The collaboration isn't just holding on — it's actually managing to rise across nearly every tally it appears on in the United Kingdom, which is uncommon for a tune that's been present since last year. 'Apt.' Appears on Five Charts Simultaneously This week in the U.K., 'Apt.' lives on five different charts. It's a win when it comes to streaming platforms and pure purchases, and when combined, general consumption. This frame, the tune lifts on four rosters and even returns to the Official Physical Singles chart. Physical copies of 'Apt.' are still selling incredibly well, as the tune reappears at No. 38, becoming a top 40 smash again. Sales and Streaming Wins Amazingly, 'Apt.' is a top 40 hit on the other four charts where it's still found as well. The cut sits highest on the Official Streaming ranking, coming in at No. 16. It also lands at No. 24 on both the Official Singles Sales and Official Singles Downloads rosters. 'Apt.' returns to the top 40 region – which usually defines when a charting cut becomes a real smash – on the main list of the biggest songs in the U.K., coincidentally in its fortieth week on the list. The multilingual track steps up from No. 43 to No. 40, narrowly managing to find space within that tier. A Former No. 1 That's Still Rising In the past, 'Apt.' has hit No. 1 on almost every chart where it's now climbing. The Korean-English duet only missed the peak position on the Official Singles chart, where it almost became a historic leader. Instead, it topped out in second place.

The Met Wraps Up Fiscal-year 2025 With 5.7 Million Visitors

Having reeled in more than 5.7 million visitors to its two locations The Met Fifth Avenue and The Met Cloisters for the fiscal year 2025, the Metropolitan Museum of Art has seen more visitors walk through its doors compared to the fiscal year 2024. The Met's overall attendance has ticked up 5 percent since fiscal-year 2024. Tristate-area residents have helped boost the numbers. For the second consecutive year, the turnout among local visitors from New York, Connecticut and New Jersey has exceeded pre-pandemic figures. That has contributed to a 109 percent post-pandemic rebound compared to 2019. For fiscal-year 2025, which ends on June 30, local attendance accounted for 62 percent of the Met's overall visitors. In addition, domestic out-of-state visitors accounted for 23 percent of the foot traffic. Rockefeller wing on May 31 was a winner for the Upper East Side cultural institution. That unveiling resulted in highest single-day attendance since 2017. The museum welcomed 33,700 visitors, and many no doubt headed for the redesigned wing to see the collections of the arts of Africa, the ancient Americas, and Oceania. The $70 million renovation had been a multiyear endeavor. Huastec artwork that was donated by the late fashion designer Mary McFadden, an intrepid traveler for decades, is among the objects. 'We are thrilled by the continued growth of our audiences, particularly across New York City and the surrounding area, with visitors showing incredible enthusiasm for our ambitious programming,' said Max Hollein, the Met's Marina Kellen French director and chief executive officer. 'Whether through our thought-provoking exhibitions, inventive educational initiatives, or wide-ranging digital offerings, the Met provides an array of ways to engage with our collection spanning 5,000 years of art from across time and around the world.'It's worth noting that 40 percent of the Met's fiscal-year guests said they planned their trips to see a specific presentation. Some of the main attractions include the museum's summer blockbuster 'Sargent and Paris,' which has pulled in more than 427,000 visitors to date. There is still a little time to buy tickets for thosewho want to explore John Singer Sargent's early days in Paris from 1874 through the mid-1880s. The exhibition at the Fifth Avenue museum is on view through Aug. 3. Another key exhibition has been the Costume Institute's 'Superfine: Tailoring Black Style,' which has registered more than 291,000 visitors. That fashion extravaganza, which millions associate with the Met Gala, runs through Oct. 26. Some of the Met's other strong suits for fiscal-year 2025 have been 'Caspar David Friedrich: The Soul of Nature' with 300,000 visitors and 'Siena: The Rise of Painting, 1300-1350' with 298,000 guests. Interestingly, the last months of two other shows — 'The Harlem Renaissance and Transatlantic Modernism' and 'Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion' — pulled in 464,000 and 401,000 visitors respectively. The chronically impatient or just highly organized managed to minimize any wait times by taking advantage of the Met's 'more expedited' ways to enter the museum's galleries. Forty percent of the visitors did just that and not just via online ticket sales or scannable membership cards. The Met recently rolled out an online ticketing option for New York State residents to reserve pay-what-you-wish tickets from its site. Of course, like every other museum in the world, the Met is trying to broaden its digital reach. The Met's site had more 27 million-plus visits in fiscal-year 2025, of which 35 percent were from outside the U.S. The museum's social media reach is robust — its Instagram has more 4.5 million followers, the museum's 'X' has more than 4.1 million, its Facebook has passed 2.3 million, its TikTok has more than 1.2 million and the Met's LinkedIn has more than 430,000 followers. Some additions for the museum this year were the debuts of official channels on Chinese-language social media platforms Weibo and WeChat, which have racked up 66,500 and 27,500 followers, respectively. A record number of museumgoers attended The Met this spring

'If you build it, they will come' doesn't just apply to baseball ghosts. As it turns out, it also applies to The Metropolitan Museum of Art, which just discovered that it hosted over 5.7 million visitors between The Met Fifth Avenue and The Met Cloisters in the 2025 fiscal year. (That would be financial talk for the 12-month period that ended on June 30, 2025.) Part of that growth came late in the tracking period, with a big ol' day party celebrating the new The Michael C. Rockefeller Wing on Saturday, May 31, which was the Met's highest single-day attendance record since 2017. How many people could possibly swing through The Met in a single day? Turns out, 33,700. That's a lot of stickers. Exhibitions still on view from this period are Sargent and Paris (427,000 visitors and counting), which closes August 3, and Superfine: Tailoring Black Style (through October 26), which has had 291,000 guests. Previous exhibitions were Caspar David Friedrich: The Soul of Nature (300,000 visitors), Siena: The Rise of Painting, 1300-1350 (298,000 visitors), and the final weeks of The Harlem Renaissance and Transatlantic Modernism (464,000 visitors) and Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion (401,000 visitors). 'We are thrilled by the continued growth of our audiences, particularly across New York City and the surrounding area, with visitors showing incredible enthusiasm for our ambitious programming,' Max Hollein, The Met's Marina Kellen French Director and CEO, said in a statement. 'Whether through our thought-provoking exhibitions, inventive educational initiatives, or wide-ranging digital offerings, The Met provides an array of ways to engage with our collection spanning 5,000 years of art from across time and around the world.' Overall, The Met saw a 5-percent growth in attendance over fiscal year 2024; 62-percent of the visitors were locals from the tri-state area. Upcoming exhibits at The Met include The Genesis Facade Commission: Jeffrey Gibson, The Animal That Therefore I Am (September 12–June 9, 2026), Man Ray: When Objects Dream (September 14–February 1, 2026), Witnessing Humanity: The Art of John Wilson (September 20–February 8, 2026), Spectrum of Desire: Love, Sex, and Gender in the Middle Ages (October 17–March 29, 2026), and Seeing Silence: The Paintings of Helene Schjerfbeck (December 5–April 5, 2026).
