Helldivers 2's Illuminate Update Overhauls Combat, Cosmetics and the In-Game Economy

Arrowhead Game Studios' Helldivers 2 continues to expand with fresh content, as the team unveils a new Illuminate threat and updates to the Superstore in defence of Super Earth. A major update has landed on the battlefields of Helldivers 2. A new post on the PlayStation Blog has warned players of looming Illuminate forces spreading across the galaxy, and it's up to Super Earth's finest to hold the line. Patch 01.003.000 is now live on both PC and PlayStation 5, introducing more dangerous Illuminate enemies, significant changes to the Superstore, and new weapon customization options for the more style-conscious Helldiver. Arrowhead Game Studios has also released an official trailer for the patch, which can be viewed below. Since being introduced as a threat to the Super Earth way of life, the Illuminate have grown in both numbers and variety. Helldivers 2 has issued a Galactic Emergency, alerting all Helldivers to the expanding Illuminate scourge. After several warnings posted on social media, Arrowhead Game Studios has pulled back the curtain on new Illuminate enemy types. Among them is the Stingray, a jet-fighter-style adversary that provides aerial fire support for Illuminate forces. Another new threat is the Crescent Overseer, a unit capable of launching heavy barrages to flush Helldivers out of cover. Lastly, new intel has revealed failed Illuminate experiments known as the Fleshmob. These grotesque creations are the Illuminate's answer to Frankenstein's monster—assembled from 'voteless parts' and turned into brute battlefield enforcers. Helldivers will need to work together to take them down. Details remain scarce, and like previous adversaries, players will need to learn more about the Fleshmob through direct engagement in the field. To fight back the new threat, Helldivers 2 has given Helldivers the ability to customize their weapon load outs. Nearly every weapon in the game can now be personalized with new colourways, allowing Helldivers to express individuality on the battlefield. In addition to these cosmetic upgrades, players can now equip new weapon attachments to help eliminate threats to Super Earth with greater efficiency. Arrowhead has also deployed patterns for the FRV themes on Viper Commandos, Freedom's Flame, Chemical Agents, and Truth Enforcers Warbonds. These patterns unlock on May 15, with the launch of the Masters of Ceremony Warbond. In addition to the latest patch updates, Helldivers 2 has overhauled the Superstore to better serve players who don't log in daily. Previously, Superstore items would rotate out quickly, frustrating some fans. In response to player feedback, Arrowhead Game Studios has extended the duration items remain in the store. With today's update, Helldivers can now view all current Superstore offerings and make purchases at any time, eliminating the need to wait for future rotations. The new Helldivers 2 patch 01.003.000 is live now, and fans looking for more information on overall balance notes can visit the official Steam page for a detailed breakdown.

Netflix series is like a spin-off of The Split and I was surprised to love every minute

Netflix's new comedy series had the feel of a spin-off of The Split and I was surprised to love every minute. At first, I thought The Four Seasons was actually going to turn out to be more of a White Lotus spoof. Then part way through the opening episode, it seemed to be more in line with The Split: Barcelona. This was a concern. The BBC drama wasn't really for me. Thankfully, I was wrong on both counts. I had stop myself from binging the entire eight episodes too quickly and was left wanting more. The Four Seasons follows six friends as they initially head for a relaxing weekend away only to learn that one couple in the group is about to split up. All three couples are completely upended by the news and can't help but examine their own relationships as a result. Viewers will stay with these friends over the course of a year, as they go on to spend four varied vacations with each other. Witness the ever changing dynamics as old issues and new begin to bubble to the surface. This group of friends consists of a stacked cast including the series co-creator Tina Fey, Will Forte, Steve Carrell, Superstore's Kerri Kenny-Silver, Colman Domingo and Marco Calvani. There's at least one character for every kind of viewer to empathise with and Domingo once again proves he can handle any role that comes his way like a master. As the friends are introduced with all suitcases in hand, there is the worry it's reminiscent of a spin-off of something like The Split or even akin to a dreaded US remake of the beloved BBC drama. It's quickly evident that is not the case. Nor does it do it justice to label it a budget or spoof of White Lotus. It's so much more than that. It's actually remaking a 1981 film of the same name, starring and directed by Alan Alda. It mostly follows the same premise but with sensible and impactful modern updates that not only allows it to stand on its own but enable it to become a successful translation from feature to episodic series. Two episodes each are reserved for each season of Fall, Spring, Summer, Winter, which prevent any instalment from going by too quickly or overstaying its welcome. The trips the friends take are just as varied, from a trip to their old college to an excursion you could only enjoy in your twenties. It's a good sign that episodes seem to fly by at double speed. This is a show that is full of wit and memorable moments that are good enough to encourage a second immediate binge through. There's bound to be 30 Rock-style quips I missed and I'm looking forward to watching it all over again. With a dramatic twist of a finale fitting of any Netflix hit, there is plenty of room for more even more seasons. Like a weekend away with some of the best friends in your life, you still want to spend more time with them, no matter how circumstances in your life drastically change.

‘Warzone' Is Down — Here's When It's Coming Back Online With Season 3 And Verdansk

Verdansk Credit: Activision Warzone servers are down. The free-to-play battle royale is going dark for the longest downtime the game has seen since its launch in March, 2020. When it does come back, it will not only mark the return of the original Verdansk map, but almost an entirely new game experience. New might not be the correct term. Rather, Warzone's return of Verdansk will be a mixture of both old and new, with many features of the original game returning alongside a modified version of the omni-movement system and the arsenal we've all been playing with over the last few years. Servers went down at 9am PT / 12 noon ET on Wednesday, April 2nd alongside the launch of Black Ops 6 Season 3. The game will return at 9am PT / 12 noon ET on Thursday, April 3rd. In the meantime: Okay, that's a great trailer. I'm duly hyped. Season 3 of Black Ops 6 and Warzone also includes a new Battle Pass, new BlackCell Battle Pass and new events celebrating both the history of Black Ops and the return to Verdansk. See you in Superstore, or maybe Prison . . . and stay frosty.

In the final episode of Frasier, the man who takes away Martin's beloved easy chair from Frasier's apartment is the same one who delivered it there in the pilot episode. 3. In the series finale, Frank speaks about each of them again as they are gathered around a burning Tesla. 8. One of the very first scenes in On My Block is Ruby, Jamal, Cesar, and Monse standing over the fence and watching Ruby's brother's party. In one of the last scenes of the series, the four of them are at a party to celebrate Ruby's late grandmother, and they notice four younger teens standing over a fence and watching. 9. In Modern Family, the final scene of the series perfectly mimics the first scene of the series by putting each character in the same situation they were in 11 years earlier. ABC "The last scene of the last episode is full of callbacks to the first one. Mitch and Cam were on a plane with their new kid (cream puffs in hand), Jay and Gloria were next to each other at their son's soccer game (now both of them were struggling to get out of their chairs), and Phil and Claire were planning. It was really neat." — sararonai 10. In the first episode of Friends, Phoebe sings "My Favorite Things" from the Sound of Music to console Rachel. In the last episode, she says her, Mike, and their future kids can be like the von Trapp family. 11. In the pilot of BoJack Horseman, BoJack and Diane talk on the roof and she offers to help write his memoir. He says she'll probably get sick of him and she responds, 'I don't think that's going to happen.' The series finale ends with them on the roof again and he says, 'Wouldn't it be funny if this was the last time we ever talked to each other?' She gets quiet and doesn't respond, making it clear to him that she doesn't want him to be a part of her life anymore. Netflix — jennierichardson394 17. Jim's first and final interviews in The Office are almost identical. In the first interview, he complains about his job at Dunder Mifflin, but in the last one he says he owes everything he has to his job and it shows how much he grew throughout the series. NBC — captain1943 18. In the first episode of Veep, Selina wants to address a recent scandal but Mike tells her not to because Tom Hanks might die and that would overshadow her scandal in the news.
