CBSE Supplementary Exam 2025 Schedule Out, To Begin On July 15; Application From May 30

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced that students can apply for the compartment or improvement exam starting today, May 30. As per the official notice, the supplementary exams for both CBSE class 10 and 12 will be held from July 15. CBSE has further stated that it will not allow any extensions for submitting applications or List of Candidates by schools after the specified deadline. 'Schools should submit LOC for all the students placed in the Compartment category even if they are unable to contact the students. Non-submission of the name of the student will cease the opportunity to appear in the supplementary examinations," the board had said. CBSE Supplementary Exam 2025: Who Can Apply? Class 12: — Regular students who appeared in 10th/12th board exam 2025 and declared as 'Compartment' in one or two subjects. — Regular students who appeared in six subjects in board exam in 2024 and declared 'Pass' but could not clear one subject, can appear in the failed subject under the Improvement of the Performance category only in the subjects whose examinations will be conducted. — Regular students who appeared in the examinations this year and declared 'Pass' can appear in any one subject under the Improvement of the Performance category only in the subjects whose examinations will be conducted. — Regular students who appeared in Board's Examinations 2025 through schools affiliated to the Board and declared as 'Compartment' are eligible to apply in one or two subjects in which placed in the Compartment. — Regular students who appeared in the Board's Examinations 2025 through schools affiliated with the Board, with 6 or 7 subjects and declared 'Pass' due to the replacement of subject(s), can improve their performance in those subjects under the Improvement of Performance category. This is only applicable for subjects whose examinations will be conducted, and subject to the condition of having a valid combination of subjects as per the date sheet. — Regular students who passed the Board's Examinations 2025 can participate in up to two subjects under the Improvement of Performance category.
