Bahrain to Establish Industrial Innovation Hub to Empower Youth and Boost Manufacturing Sector

His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, His Majesty the King's Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs and Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, attended the signing of a Letter of Intent for a strategic partnership between the Ministry of Industry and Commerce and Hope Ventures. The agreement aims to establish a new makerspace and an Industrial Innovation Center in Salman Industrial City, located in Hidd. The signing ceremony was also attended by H.E. Aymen bin Tawfiq Almoayed, Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports and Chairman of the Hope Fund Board of Directors. The Letter of Intent was signed by H.E. Abdullah bin Adel Fakhro, Minister of Industry and Commerce, and Shaikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Chairman of Hope Ventures. A Vision for Youth and a Brighter Future Speaking on the occasion, His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa emphasized Bahrain's ongoing commitment to launching initiatives that empower young people across various sectors. He stated that the upcoming center would inspire creativity and innovation among the youth and prepare them to build a brighter future for the Kingdom. He commended the project as a comprehensive and supportive ecosystem for youth-driven work, aligning with Bahrain's legacy of national achievements. "Young people possess the ambition and determination needed to shape a more advanced and prosperous future for our beloved nation," His Highness said. A Key Pillar of the 2022–2026 Industrial Strategy The project aligns with Bahrain's National Industrial Sector Strategy (2022–2026), which focuses on accelerating the growth of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), promoting industrial innovation, and enhancing research and development. Minister Fakhro highlighted the significance of the initiative, calling it a strategic step in implementing the national industrial strategy. 'This project offers direct support to SMEs and helps create a thriving environment for innovation and R&D,' he said. He also noted that providing youth, makers, and innovators with access to essential resources and infrastructure is critical to turning their ideas into innovative products. This, in turn, would contribute to Bahrain's knowledge-based economic growth. Hope Ventures: Committed to Inspiring Bahrain's Youth Shaikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Chairman of Hope Ventures, expressed pride in the partnership and reaffirmed the company's commitment to nurturing a dynamic environment for Bahrain's ambitious youth. He noted that Hope Ventures is focused on empowering young people to play a vital role in shaping the future of Bahrain's industrial landscape through innovation and modern technology. 'Our sustainable initiatives aim to meet the aspirations of the next generation and elevate the competitiveness of Bahraini industries both locally and globally,' he added. A State-of-the-Art Industrial Campus The new center will span over 57,000 square meters and include areas for light manufacturing, logistics, creative spaces, co-working areas, administrative offices, training facilities, and other essential services. The project is expected to become a cornerstone in Bahrain's drive to foster industrial innovation, encourage entrepreneurship, and develop a highly skilled and future-ready workforce.

The award includes 10 categories: Best Social Series, Best Comedy Series, Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Rising Star, Best Original Score, Best Screenplay, Best Director, Best Child Actor, and Best Visual Effects. Nominees for Best Social Series are Aaber Sabeel, Shaari Al Eshaa, and Wuhush. Best Comedy Series: Al Baa Tahtahu Nuqta, Yawmiyat Rajul Aanis, Afkar Ummi. The Cabinet reviewed the preparations undertaken by relevant authorities for the Hajj season. This comes following the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to support Bahrain's pilgrims who will perform this year's Hajj pilgrimage. These preparations include the administrative and medical services to ensure the pilgrims' well-being. This follows a revision of a report submitted by the Minister of Justice, Islamic Affairs, and Endowments in this regard. The Deputy Prime Minister, His Excellency Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, yesterday chaired the weekly Cabinet Meeting at Gudaibiya Palace. The Cabinet reaffirmed the strength of the longstanding Bahrain-UAE relations and the mutual commitment to advancing cooperation in line with shared development goals. It commended His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa's visit to the United Arab Emirates, and his meeting with the President His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. Successful hosting The Cabinet praised Bahrain's successful hosting of the International Basketball Federation (FIBA) Congress, which brought together 180 national federations, underscoring the Kingdom's growing stature in hosting international sporting events. It attributed this achievement to the support of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, His Majesty the King's Representative for Humanitarian Works and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, and His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of the General Sports Authority, and President of Bahrain Olympic Committee, in enhancing the Kingdom's sports standing. The Cabinet also recognised the efforts of His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Ali Al Khalifa, Deputy President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee and Chairman of the Supreme Organising Committee of the 2025 FIBA Congress and Hall of Fame Ceremony, as well as the efforts of the Ministry of Tourism, along with other relevant authorities, in organising the Basketball event. Congratulations The Cabinet congratulated the winners of the fifth edition of the King Hamad Award for Agricultural Development, affirming the award's importance in fostering innovation and competitiveness within the agricultural sector. It welcomed the Kingdom of Bahrain's election as the ViceChair of the Executive Bureau of the Council of Arab Health Ministers, as well as the Minister of Health's election as the Vice President of the World Health Assembly milestones that reflect the Kingdom's international health standing and the advanced capabilities of its national workforce. Beneficiary The Cabinet highlighted the Kingdom's first beneficiary of the 'Tas'heel+' programme, which was processed within a record time of a week since application.
