Generate Key Takeaways Candy connoisseurs are getting loud all over social media about their favorite new candy from Trader Joe's. In fact, they're loving this one so much they say it beats all their old favorites, including their Super Sour Scandinavian Swimmers. If you're not a frequent TJ's shopper, or not one to follow the shop's fandom, you might not be aware that the Scandinavian Swimmers (their extra-sour take on Swedish Fish) have a strong fanbase. And to hear folks on TikTok swear this new candy item is even better is, well, a pretty big deal. So what exactly is this new candy we all so obviously need to try? They're called Sour Strawberry Candy Belts, and they are taking TJ's fans by storm. According to Trader Joe's website, these fully vegan candy belts are made by a Turkish supplier that only uses natural flavors and 'colors derived from fruit & vegetable juices.' They kinda, sorta resemble bacon, but again, fully vegan! They come in a 10 ounce box and are just $3.49, so they're nice on the wallet, too. Bonus: reviewers say the box is real easy to open, which is nice given that so many containers nowadays can be downright dangerous to open. You can sense the excitement for them over on Instagram, where plenty of folks have been commenting about the anticipation. 'I've been looking for these for months 😤😩,' said one IG user. Other comments included, 'Lord I didn't need another sugary temptation at TJs 😂,' and 'I've been waiting for these to hit shelves! Can't wait.' Related: Trader Joe's Brought Back One of Its Most Popular Spring Baked Goods, and Shoppers are Eating It 'All In One Sitting' But it's over on TikTok where you'll find the stellar reviews of this new confection. @heatherrmariee1 tried these out and immediately gave the strawberry-infused candy a 10 out of 10. 'This is by far the best candy that TJ's has and I'm a number one fan of Sour Scandinavian Swimmers,' she shared with her followers. Big praise! @jacquelinesvlog also tried them out, and upon tasting told her followers, 'These are so good I could cry. They're wonderful!' And when someone in the comments brought up Scandinavian Swimmers, she was quick to reply that, in her opinion, these were even better. You can check TikTok yourself, but it truly does seem like the former Fishy King of TJ's Candy has finally been ousted. Coca-Cola and Pepsi rival discontinues popular soda flavors
Consumers tend to get angry when a company decides to kill one of their favorite products. In many cases, these cancellations happen because the item no longer sells very well. It was a tragedy to some Coca-Cola (KO) made the decision to shut down production of TaB because not enough people were buying it. Have a small devoted following, but the reality is that Diet Coke and other diet sodas simply had more market share. Related: PepsiCo CEO addresses major customer concerns amid low sales Every product, it seems, is somebody's favorite. That makes it very challenging for beverage companies to make the decision to kill a product. In recent years, Coca-Cola has not been very nostalgic. The company got rid of dozens of beverage brands in order to improve overall efficiency. That was a bottom line move which made sense for shareholders. To customers, however, it was a betrayal as drinks that had significant following were dropped as part of a larger equation. Don't miss the move: Subscribe to TheStreet's free daily newsletter PepsiCo (PEP) takes a more measured approach to killing popular flavors. It generally shares notice on its website when it's no longer making a certain soda. When that notice gets posted, stores will still have inventory and consumers will have a chance to buy some, as a way to say goodbye. Ghost may not be the best-known energy drink brand, but it's trying to do things differently in that space. The company markets itself as offering "feel good energy" and it describes its beverages as "authentic flavors, zero sugars, and no BS." It's hard to know what "authentic flavors" means, but the company doubles down on its message with its tagline. "The fully transparent, fully loaded, feel-good energy drink we've all been waiting for," the company shared on its website. Now, the brand has also shared some bad news. "Yesterday, @ghostlifestyle announced that Mondelēz International (parent company to Sour Patch Kids, Swedish Fish, @oreo, @chipsahoy, @nutterbutter, and many others) was not interested in moving forward with their long-standing product licensing deal," the SodaSeekers Instagram page reported. More Food + Dining: Domino's Pizza unveils generous deal amid alarming consumer trendSteak 'n Shake's beef tallow fries aren't as healthy as they appearThe Cheesecake Factory makes bittersweet changes to its menu That means that Ghost will have to stop making its Sour Patch Kids and Swedish Fish flavors and will no longer be able to bring customers those authentic flavors. "The brand then announced that no more stock will be produced for any of these collaborative products; what currently exists on store shelves (or through online sellers) is the last of the supply. In addition to the energy drinks seen here, this announcement also affects many @mondelez_international-branded products across the GHOST Supplements line," it added. Mondelēz International owns the Sour Patch Kids and Swedish Fish brands, but they can't really stop the energy drink maker from copying those flavors. One Instagram user expects the flavors to come back in a new form. "I'm sure they will bring them back just without the branding. It's what they did with the Faze branded flavors," Joel_JPG wrote. Voxirati hopes that happens as well. "Boo. I hope they just change the branding. I mean Ghost has a lot of good flavors but still., these are all excellent," they posted. Related: Coca-Cola suffers an alarming loss from major boycott HagXPrincess had a very different reaction. "Just my three favs no big deal or anything," she wrote. In the past, it has not been uncommon for company's to lose a license and then come back with a generic version of the same flavor. Everyone knows which cookie you mean, when you say "cookies and cream," but as long as you don't say Oreo, yopu are legally in the clear. Matthew Stafford's wife Kelly reveals terrifying cholesterol results as doctors urge immediate medical attention for health scare
Kelly Stafford admits she's 'scared' after doctors advise urgent care over shocking cholesterol numbers (Credit: Getty Images) Life in the NFL spotlight has never been a walk in the park—just ask Kelly Stafford . The wife of Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford recently opened up on her podcast The Morning After, revealing both the emotional and physical transformations that have shaped her life since Matthew was drafted into the NFL. Kelly Stafford opens up about frightening cholesterol spike that led to urgent doctor intervention While Matthew Stafford may still be the same man she fell in love with, Kelly confessed that the transition into the professional sports world wasn't entirely seamless. 'I'm not saying he changed as a person,' she admitted. 'He's still the same guy that I've always known when it comes to his personality and the way he is with people and stuff like that. But I will say, there was something that I had to adjust to, which was the more crazy, fun Matthew to the professional Matthew.' The shift from spontaneous nights out to more reserved, structured routines caught her off guard. 'That was something I was thrown off by,' she shared. 'All of a sudden, we couldn't go dancing at the bars and we couldn't do the things I used to love to do... I had to be like, 'OK, this is a change and I'm going to support that change and be with you with it.'' The Morning After How Do You Parent This? However, a recent health scare brought an unexpected jolt into Kelly's life. After completing a routine blood test sponsored by a company she and Matthew partnered with, the results showed 'extremely high' cholesterol levels. 'I got some results back, and my cholesterol is extremely high. It gives you numbers, and it's like above outer range and need to seek medical attention, and I'm in that range,' Kelly said. Despite being visibly fit, the alarming numbers made her rethink her lifestyle. She openly acknowledged her love for sugar. 'If you guys know me very well, I go to bed with 10 Swedish Fish in my hand at night or hot chocolate,' she said. Even healthy meals, like chicken and rice, are topped with 'Yum Yum sauce,' which is loaded with sugar. The realization has prompted her to take serious steps, especially considering that high cholesterol runs in her family. 'I'm going to spend like a month and kind of like get rid of all the sugar at night situation and go back and retest,' she said. 'And once I do that, I'll let you guys know if it changes. If it doesn't change, I definitely think it's genetic.' Her story resonates with many. According to the CDC, about 1 in 10 U.S. adults have cholesterol levels above the recommended 200 mg/dL. But Kelly's honesty brings a relatable human element to the often-glamorized life of NFL families. With plans to get back on track alongside Matthew post-spring break, Kelly is determined to face the challenge head-on. 'From the outside, I feel very in shape, like somewhat in the best shape of my life. But on the inside, those numbers say differently,' she admitted, reminding us all that true wellness goes beyond appearances. Also Read: Why did Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce really disappear?
