Acer Swift Edge 14 AI, Swift Go Series Get AI Upgrades

The new thin-and-light laptops are now powered by the latest Intel® Core™ Ultra 200V Series processors and integrated Neural Processing Units (NPUs), enhancing their AI capabilities. The Acer Swift Edge 14 AI, part of the Swift Copilot+ range, features a lightweight sub-1kg chassis. It includes a 14-inch 3K OLED display with edge-to-edge glass and supports 100% DCI-P3 color gamut. Acer reported that the device is the world's first laptop to include Corning® Gorilla™ Matte Pro surface treatment. The new surface reportedly reduces reflections by 95% compared to traditional anti-glare glass and improves contrast and sharpness in outdoor conditions. With up to an Intel® Core™ Ultra 9 processor 288V and integrated Intel® Arc™ GPU, the Swift Edge 14 AI supports demanding AI workloads such as image processing and noise reduction. The device includes features like a fingerprint reader that lights up during recognition and an AI Activity Indicator on the touchpad. It offers up to 32 GB LPDDR5X memory and up to 1 TB PCIe Gen 4 storage. Acer revealed that the Swift Edge 14 AI can deliver up to 21 hours of battery life. The device includes dual Thunderbolt 4 ports, dual USB Type-A ports, and is MIL-STD 810H certified for durability. The chassis is made from a high-grade magnesium-aluminum alloy and features a 'soft-touch' UV-coated keyboard. It also includes a dedicated Copilot key for launching AI assistance in Windows 11. Acer also introduced the Swift Go 16 AI and Swift Go 14 AI laptops. These models are powered by up to Intel Core Ultra 7 processors 258V with Intel Arc graphics and up to 32 GB LPDDR5X RAM. They support up to 2 TB PCIe Gen 4 NVMe SSD storage. The Swift Go 16 AI offers a 16-inch WUXGA+ 2K OLED display The Swift Go 14 AI features a 14-inch WUXGA OLED display Both displays are VESA DisplayHDR™ True Black 500-certified and Eyesafe 2.0 certified. Acer reported that these laptops provide up to 16 hours of battery life for web browsing. They come with Acer's new Multi-Control Touchpad, which allows users to manage media and conferencing features directly on the touchpad. In addition, Acer MyKey enables one-click access to frequently used applications. All three new Acer Swift AI laptops include 1080p FHD IR webcams supporting Windows Hello facial recognition. The built-in Acer User Sensing technology automatically locks or wakes the device based on user presence. Acer PurifiedVoice™ 2.0 and a triple microphone array are included to reduce background noise during calls. Connectivity features include support for HDMI 2.1, USB Type-C, Wi-Fi 7, and Bluetooth 5.4. The laptops also support DTS: X Ultra audio for improved sound quality. Acer stated that the Swift AI lineup supports sustainable practices. The devices are EPEAT Gold-registered, use post-consumer recycled plastics, and ship with 100% recycled packaging. Acer's newest lightweight laptop beats the MacBook Air in weight
If you thought Apple's MacBook Air was the featherweight champ of the lightweight laptop world, Acer's newest notebook might have you change your mind. Ahead of Computex 2025, Acer revealed the Swift Edge 14 which tips the scales at just 990g. We're talking backpack-friendly, travel-ready, actually-use-on-your-lap-without-going-numb light. And yet, somehow, Acer managed to cram in a 14-inch 3K OLED display, Intel's latest Core Ultra 9 chip, an AI-powered NPU, and enough ports to avoid dongle purgatory. It's hard not to be impressed. This thing isn't just light – it also packs proper power for actual work. Between the OLED panel that's been fine-tuned with VESA DisplayHDR TrueBlack 600 and Gorilla Glass Matte Pro (a mouthful, I know), this laptop isn't messing about with screen quality. And while you're not going to launch a AAA game marathon on the Intel Arc graphics, it'll more than handle AI tinkering, 4K streaming, or 67-tab Chrome sessions. The rest of the Swift lineup doesn't exactly slouch, either. The new Swift X 14 and Swift X 14 AI models are pitched squarely at creators and professionals. They pack either Intel Core Ultra or AMD Ryzen AI processors and RTX 5070 GPUs inside. That means you can throw editing timelines, 3D rendering, and AI art generation at them without so much as a stutter. Acer's glorious OLED touchscreens make a return, with full DCI-P3 coverage and 3K resolution. Acer's also throwing in a stylus-ready haptic touchpad, facial recognition login, and a surprisingly useful set of AI tools. Whether you're using the AMD or Intel flavour, both Swift X 14 models are certified Nvidia Studio laptop. Twin fans, copper heat pipes, and airflow wizardry mean they're not going to burn your legs every time you open Photoshop. As for those who want solid performance in a slightly less flashy shell, the Swift Go 14 AI and Swift Go 16 AI also got a refresh. Still OLED, still AI-savvy, and still designed for all-day battery and light productivity. They even have a Multi-Control Touchpad so you can play DJ with your video calls. The Acer Swift Edge 14 will be available from June, starting at €1599. The Swift X 14 AI and Swift X 14 both land in July, starting at €1799. The Swift Go 16 AI drops in August from €1299, and the Swift Go 14 AI follows in July from €1199. US and UK availability and pricing has yet to be unveiled.

Acer's new Swift Edge 14 AI laptop packs in a matte display and AI features
Acer is updating its lineup of Swift Edge, Go and X laptops at Computex with the latest Intel chips, and in of one of these Copilot+ PCs, a unique matte display treatment developed by Corning, the glass manufacturer behind the Gorilla Glass covering millions of smartphones. The beneficiary of that new display is the Swift Edge 14 AI. The laptop's display has an anti-glare Gorilla Matte Pro finish that's the first of its kind on a laptop, and is supposed to "reduce screen reflection by 95 percent" compared to alternative anti-glare glass. Acer introduced the original Swift Edge 14 AI alongside the parade of Copilot+ PCs that accompanied Microsoft's big push into AI last year. The new Swift Edge 14 AI benefits from those same AI features like Recall or Click to Do thanks to its updated internals. You can spec the Swift Edge 14 AI with up to an Intel Core Ultra 9 processor with Intel Arc graphics, up to 32GB LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB of storage. All of this components are packed into a white and relatively light (2.18 lbs) magnesium-aluminum alloy body, with a 14-inch OLED screen and a "soft-touch" stain-resistant keyboard. For the new Swift Go 14 AI and Swift Go 16 AI, Acer lets you build the laptop with up to an Intel Core Ultra 7, up to 32 GBLPDDR5X RAM and up to 2TB of storage. On the Swift Go 14 AI you can opt for a 16:10, 1,920 x 1,200 resolution OLED and a similarly laid out 2,048 x 1,280 resolution OLED on the Swift Go 16 AI. Neither laptop is as sleek as the Swift Edge 14 AI — in terms of appearance, the Swift Go laptops seem like the kind you'd be assigned for work. Case in point, both Go models have 1080p, Windows Hello-compatible webcams and touchpads with built-in video conferencing controls. Acer is also updating its Swift X laptops, the company's go-to option if you're looking for more graphical oomph. Both the Swift X 14 AI and the plain Swift X 14 include a NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 laptop GPU, which should power you through all sort of video editing and 3D rendering tasks. You can pair the GPU with up to an AMD Ryzen AI 9 on the Swift X 14 AI or up to an Intel Core Ultra 9 on on the Swift X 14. Both laptops can include up to 32GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 2TB of storage. This year's Swift laptops also feature a 14.5-inch 3K OLED displays and larger haptic touchpads that support tilt-enabled styluses for drawing and photo retouching. Likely due to the unpredictable nature of global trade, none of Acer's new Swift laptops have finalized pricing or availability in the US, though we can share the info Acer has for Europe. The Swift Edge 14 AI is expected to be available in June for €1,599, the Swift Go 14 AI a little bit later in July for €1,199 and the Swift Go 16 AI in August for €1,299. The story is the same for Acer's Swift X laptops. Both the Swift X 14 AI and Swift X 14 will be available in July for €1,799.
