Google says it axed over 7,700 YouTube channels linked to Chinese state-backed ‘influence operations'
Google terminated 7,700 'inauthentic' YouTube channels linked to the Chinese state in the second quarter of the year, according to a Google bulletin on Monday. Most were removed as part of their investigation into coordinated influence operations linked to Beijing. The 'inauthentic network uploaded content in Chinese and English about China and US foreign affairs,' according to Google's Threat Analysis Group (TAG). Google also removed four channels in April linked to Chinese campaigns critical of the Philippines: 'The campaign was sharing content in English and Chinese that was supportive of China and critical of the Philippines,' said TAG. Over 3,000 other channels linked to operations in Russia, Türkiye, Romania, Azerbaijan, Israel, and Ghana were also removed. In the first quarter of the year, Google removed over 15,800 Chinese YouTube channels and blocked 28 domains linked to China from appearing on Google News and Discover – the personalised content feed within Google's app and on mobile. Google previously terminated John Lee's YouTube channel in 2022, which he was using as part of his campaign for Hong Kong's one-horse leadership race. The tech giant cited applicable US sanctions and related policies under its own terms.

These live demonstrations will allow teams to interact directly with signals, adjust layouts, and monitor outputs across large-format displays—offering a hands-on experience of the platform's real-time power. Central to TAG's showcase are two major updates to its Realtime Media Platform: First, the introduction of Waveform Scopes within the QC Station, providing operators with essential visual tools, Waveforms, Histograms and Vectorscopes, for analysing luminance, chrominance and signal levels. These features support precise compliance and production quality checks across multiple sources in a live mosaic format. Second, new capabilities in the Operator Console allow for Channel Solo and full video playback, enabling users to isolate specific audio channels and instantly review entire video streams—critical functions for quick troubleshooting and quality validation during live and on-demand workflows. TAG will also spotlight real-world use cases enabled by its strategic partners. With Witbe, the platform ensures end-to-end viewer experience validation; with Techex, it supports agile, cloud-enabled broadcast delivery; Nevion enables streamlined orchestration through integration with VideoIPath; and DataMiner centralizes service monitoring by incorporating TAG's metrics into broader operational systems. 'Our focus at IBC is to show what happens when monitoring and data come together in real time,' said Kevin Joyce, TAG's Zero Friction Officer. 'We're not just displaying video—we're delivering clarity, control, and the agility customers need to stay competitive.' Backed by its Zero Friction approach, intuitive toolsets, and deep partner integrations, TAG offers a smarter, unified path forward – regardless of workflow or scale. Stand 1.C31

Massive McLaren Mansour Ojjeh Collection Surfaces for Sale
Summary Luxury car dealerTom Hartley Jnrhas been entrusted with the sale of The Mansour Ojjeh Collection, an extraordinary group ofMcLarenroad cars that reflects the personal vision of the man who helped define the brand. Mansour Ojjeh, the late CEO of TAG, played a pivotal role in McLaren's history. After sponsoring the Williams F1 team in 1979, he took a major stake in McLaren in 1984, financing the TAG-Porsche turbo engine program that led to three Drivers' Championships and two Constructors' titles. Over the next four decades, his influence helped shape McLaren's racing dominance and the creation of McLaren Automotive. At the heart of the collection is a one-of-oneMcLaren F1, the final chassis ever produced. Finished in a unique color called Yquem — later renamed Mansour Orange — it has just 1,810 km on the clock and remains in factory condition. Each car in the collection carries the final chassis number of its model and was maintained by McLaren under Ojjeh's direct instruction. Aside from occasional use of theP1 GTRat official track days, the rest of the collection remains untouched. This offering represents more than rare cars; it's a tribute to a man whose pursuit of excellence helped define McLaren's DNA. Full details of the sale are available through Tom Hartley Jnr.

Treasure Trove of 20 McLaren Road Cars s Is for Sale, Most of Them Orange
The personal road car collection of Mansour Ojjeh, longtime McLaren racing team sponsor, is up for auction. There are 20 cars, each of them the last of its line. The collection includes the last McLaren F1 ever built and could go for a record sum. There are car collections, and there are car collections, and the 20 cars currently coming up for auction at Tom Hartley Jnr is emphatically the latter. Let's start with the headliner: the last McLaren F1 ever made, showing just 1100 miles on its odometer. The F1 was McLaren's first road car, and the 20 supercars listed here are basically a snapshot of the brand's roadgoing legacy since, almost all of them finished in a deep metallic orange called Mansour Orange. Tom Hartley Jnr Tom Hartley Jnr You don't get your hands on the last ever F1 even if you're a longtime McLaren fan and owner, and this collection formerly belonged to a man central to the McLaren story. The late Mansour Ojjeh, part-owner of the TAG motorsports and aviation group, joined F1 as a sponsor of the Willams team in 1979. He later moved into ownership of McLaren during the mid-1980s, and he was there for the development of the TAG-Porsche racing engines, which brought early success to the team. Ojjeh was with McLaren for the next 40 years, including being part of the fateful moment, along with Ron Dennis and Gordon Murray, when the idea of the F1 was born. Tom Hartley Jnr Tom Hartley Jnr Ojjeh had other blue-chip cars in his collection at the time, specifically some of Ferrari's best, but as McLaren got going he started to create an all-McLaren lineup. This is that collection, featuring special editions and Le Mans series cars, including a Senna GTR, Speedtail, and Elva. All except for the P1 GTR and the F1 are completely undriven, each one the last chassis built of that particular model. Tom Hartley Jnr Tom Hartley Jnr Tom Hartley Jnr Tom Hartley Jnr It's an interesting way to create a collection, making sure you have the best and last variant made. Since all but two are basically brand new—and those two are museum quality—it's a fantastic opportunity for someone to acquire a collection dedicated to pure McLaren enthusiasm. With the team's F1 team doing so well in this year's championship, the timing is right too. Carefully curated by someone who was in the front seat for McLaren's transformation from racing team to full-scale supercar manufacturer, this collection is sure to fetch the tippiest-top dollar out there. They don't come any more significant than this. Brendan McAleer Contributing Editor Brendan McAleer is a freelance writer and photographer based in North Vancouver, B.C., Canada.
