BCY chief alleges Rs 350 crore kickback in TDP's support to Shirdi Sai Electricals' Nellore solar project

TIRUPATI: Bharatha Chaitanya Yuvajana (BCY) Founder President Bode Ramachandra Yadav accused the TDP govt of pledging support to the Kadapa-based Shirdi Sai Electricals-backed Indo Solar project for kickbacks involving hundreds of crores of rupees. Ramachandra Yadav levelled serious allegations against the ruling disposition during his visit to Karivedu village in Nellore district. The BCY chief recalled that when the TDP was in the opposition, TDP National President Nara Chandrababu Naidu and several other prominent leaders, including Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy, labelled Shirdi Sai Electricals as a benami company of the then chief minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy. They alleged that the erstwhile YSRCP govt resorted to widespread corruption by pledging support to the Shirdi Sai Electricals group. 'The TDP leaders also vowed to expose this unholy nexus coupled with corruption and initiate legal proceedings against Shirdi Sai Electricals once the TDP comes to power in the state. However, the TDP received Rs 40 crore in the form of electoral bonds in January last year. After they came to power in the state in June 2024, instead of initiating legal proceedings, the TDP govt also pledged support to the Shirdi Sai Electrical group and allegedly earned Rs.350 cr in the form of kickbacks to alienate approximately 8,300 acres of land in Nellore district,' Bode Ramachandra Yadav alleged. The BCY chief slammed the govt for pushing the farmers into dire straits by handing over lush green farmlands to companies in the name of projects. He alleged that in Karivedu village, Ulavapadu mandal, Kandukur constituency, Nellore district, the Indo Solar project is forcibly and tyrannically taking 8,300 acres of land from farmers with the support of the TDP govt. He assured the farmers and villagers that the BCY party would fight for them and demanded the TDP govt initiate measures for returning all the forcibly acquired lands from the farmers within 10 days. Failing this, the BCY plans to take up massive protests in support of the farmers.

Coalition govt harassing farmers for corporate gains: BCY

Nellore: Bode Ramachandra Yadav, Bharata Chaitanya Yuvajana (BCY) party national president, has strongly criticised the coalition government, accusing it of sacrificing fertile agricultural lands for corporate interests under the guise of development projects. Speaking in Karivedu of Ulavapadu mandal in Kandukur constituency in the district, Yadav alleged that the Indo Solar project is forcibly and coercively acquiring 7,300 acres of farmers' land. During his visit to the village on Friday, he assured farmers and villagers that the BCY party would stand by them and lead the fight against these actions. Yadav clarified that neither the BCY party nor the local farmers are against development. However, he emphasised that 'destroying green fields by crushing the livelihoods of farmers is not development.' He suggested that the state government should utilize the thousands of acres of vacant government land available across the state for such projects instead. Ramachandra Yadav recalled that current key leaders of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP), including Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu himself, had made serious accusations against the very same Indo Solar Company (previously identified as Shirdi Sai Electrical Company). In a sensational accusation, Yadav claimed that the same company officially submitted electoral bonds worth Rs 40 crore to the TDP on January 12 last year, and allegedly paid an additional Rs 350 crore in bribes. 'That's why a whopping 7,300 acres of land in this region are being freely handed over to that company.' Ramachandra Yadav issued a ten-day ultimatum to the government to return the farmers' land. Failing this, he declared that the BCY party is prepared to fight on behalf of the farmers. He assured the villagers of the party's unwavering support.

TDP Digital Army records 10,000+ registrations

KADAPA: In a first-of-its-kind initiative, the TDP has leveraged cutting-edge digital and AI technologies during its Mahanadu in Kadapa, setting a new benchmark in political tech adoption. It has achieved a record 10,000+ registrations in just two days through its digital stall, marking a milestone in the TDP's history. The tech-powered Mahanadu saw enthusiastic participation from the TDP rank and file, who queued up to register themselves for Digital Army, a specialised initiative aimed at countering fake news and misinformation on social media. The TDP activists scanned QR code at the stall, with many sharing it as status update, and forwarding it to supporters, fuelling a digital wave across platforms. Unlike previous editions, this year's Mahanadu featured a dedicated digital desk where tech-savvy volunteers registered individuals eager to become part of the party's social media counterforce. These 'Digital Warriors' will act as fact-checkers, confronting disinformation and promoting accurate narratives about the party and governance.
