Cherries development squad beat Bees 8-1 after 13-minute onslaught
THE Cherries development squad produced a breathtaking second-half display to dismantle Brentford U21s 8-1, with Daniel Adu-Adjei netting a hat-trick and assisting twice in a 13-minute onslaught that left the visitors stunned. Brentford started the stronger of the two sides and took the lead in the 14th minute through Ben Krauhaus, who calmly slotted past the goalkeeper to give the Bees an early advantage. Bournemouth came close to levelling before the break, with Adu-Adjei playing in Silcott-Duberry, but a sharp save from the Brentford keeper preserved the visitors' 1-0 lead at half-time. The second half told a very different story. Just eight minutes after the restart, Bournemouth found their equaliser as Winterburn rifled a shot from the edge of the box into the net to make it 1-1. That goal sparked the Cherries into life, and from that moment, they never looked back. In the 57th minute, Koby Mottoh's cross found Adu-Adjei, who coolly tucked the ball into the bottom corner to put Bournemouth ahead. Moments later, Adu-Adjei rattled the crossbar, but Dominic Sadi was alert to guide in the rebound, extending the lead to 3-1. Adu-Adjei then doubled his tally with another composed finish, before turning provider again, this time squaring for substitute Kian Tydeman to slot home Bournemouth's fifth. The relentless forward completed his hat-trick in the 66th minute, finishing a precise pass from Remy Rees-Dottin to make it 6-1 and cap off a remarkable run of six goals in just 13 minutes. The attack didn't stop there. Tydeman turned provider, setting up fellow substitute Jonny Day for Bournemouth's seventh, before converting from the penalty spot after Ashley Clark was brought down in the box to round off an incredible 8-1 victory. It was a sensational performance from Bournemouth's youngsters, and particularly from Adu-Adjei, who finished with three goals and two assists in a display of ruthless attacking football.

Cherries make it 14 wins from 14 with 4-0 win against Bridgwater
THE Cherries maintained their perfect win record in the National League as they beat Bridgwater United at the AJN Stadium, Keynsham on Sunday. Gemma McGuinness and Ellie Strippel reached double figures for the season, with Amber Treweek and another McGuinness goal gave Bournemouth a 4-0 win. Erin Foley in the Cherries net went past 1000 minutes without conceding a goal with yet another clean sheet as Bournemouth completed their 14th win from 14 games in the National League Division One South West. It was a fast start for Bournemouth as a fantastic strike from Treweek from around 25 yards out found the back of the net after five minutes. Kenni Thompson went close soon after, Bridgwater keeper Alex Madden saving well to stop her effort ending up in the top corner. The visitors made it 2-0 in the 12th minute, McGuinness powerfully heading home from a Treweek cross. There was a long delay as Madden received treatment before being stretchered off the pitch. Molly Barron-Clark went close twice, seeing one effort go over the bar before hitting the woodwork with a second. It was 3-0 in first half stoppage time, Strippel finishing emphatically past substitute keeper Connie Pengelly after Thompson's cross. Eleven minutes after the break, Phoebe Williams was brought down in the box, the Cherries awarded a spot kick. But Pengelly guessed right to keep Thompson's spot kick out as well as the follow up to keep the deficit at three. Substitute Alisha Buckingham fired over the bar after she, Charlotte Harris, Ali Hall, Eloise Hall and Erin Bloomfield came on on the hour mark. Bournemouth extended their advantage to four goals in the 73rd minute, McGuinness completing her brace as she swept the ball home after latching onto a high ball into the box. And the Cherries defence held firm to keep yet another clean sheet to make it 11 on the trot in the league, as the 4-0 win saw Bournemouth cement their spot at the top of the league.

THE Cherries will host Premier League Wolverhampton Wanderers in the fifth round of the FA Cup. This followed a thumping 5-1 win at the Vitality Stadium over West Bromwich Albion in the third round.
