TNT Sports pundit takes selfie live on TV – 'I'm going to get in trouble'

Former professional cyclist Adam Blythe was in Italy covering the Giro d'Italia for TNT Sports when he decided the perfect time for a selfie with Wout van Aert Cycling fans at the Giro d'Italia witnessed more than just the race drama as TNT Sports commentator Adam Blythe grabbed the attention following an impromptu moment with cycling star Wout van Aert. The 35-year-old British ex-pro cyclist turned heads with a provocative request to Van Aert, later confessing he'd likely get in "trouble" for his antics. Unaware that the cameras were rolling live, Blythe was spotted engaging Van Aert amidst a flurry of riders and media on an Italian thoroughfare, seeking to snap a "get a quick picture" with the Belgian star. ‌ Instructing his crew to wait, Blythe juggled his phone, setting up for what seemed the perfect selfie opportunity with Van Aert. ‌ It wasn't long before TNT presenter Orla Chennaoui caught sight of the unwitting blunder, asking: "Why is he looking at his phone?," then adding: "Is he really doing this? Adam, you're live on TV, could you leave the selfie until later?". Realisation dawned upon Blythe as he swiftly informed Van Aert they were "live on television", smoothly transitioning to a traditional interview setup with the Belgian sprinter. Though Van Aert entered the Giro with soaring expectations, initial stages proved challenging. Yet, he rebounded with victory in Siena during the strade bianche phase, a triumph he delved into with Blythe during their on-air exchange, reports the Express. ‌ "Yeah, good feeling relieved that we're almost over the mountains," he said. "Tomorrow is one of the few real opportunities for the sprinters so I think we're really focused for tomorrow." ‌ Although his main role was support, Van Aert demonstrated sublime teamwork at the famed Italian race as he helped his Team Visma-Lease-a-Bike colleague, Simon Yates, snatch the coveted maglia rosa, virtually sealing his triumph in the overall standings. Quick to exit the scene, Blythe made a swift departure from the interview, quipping: "Well, I have to go as I'm going to get in trouble." He later shared the amusing episode on Instagram with his followers, captioning it humorously: "Forgot I was on Tele". In Verres, Italy, the intense terrain put cyclists through their paces. With Sunday fast approaching, Rome gears up to host the grand finale where deeply determined riders will vie for a slice of the £1.3 million prize pool. Reflecting over his initial week's adversity, Van Aert remained upbeat, as per Cycling News. "I am very satisfied with how it has turned out. "I had hoped for a nicer start, but I have recovered well. The stage win remains a highlight and has ensured that my Giro has been successful." Meanwhile Blythe is carving out his niche as a trusted pundit on Eurosport for all things cycling, and provided in-depth reports for NBC Sports at the Tour de France in both 2020 and 2021.

Why has the Allianz Arena been renamed for the Champions League final?

INTER take on PSG in the Champions League final at Bayern Munich's Allianz Arena. PSG are looking to capture the Champions League for the first time in their history. 3 3 3 For Inter, they are aiming for a fourth title in their history, and a first title since their win over Bayern Munich in 2010. History is on PSG's side, with every final in Munich crowning a new champion, as Nottingham Forest, Marseille, Borussia Dortmund and Chelsea all won the competition for the first time there. However, Munich's famous Allianz Arena will have a different name tonight, as one Uefa regulation prohibits their current name. SunSport can reveal why the Allianz Arena will have a different name tonight. Why has the Allianz Arena been renamed for the Champions League final? Bayern Munich's home ground - the Allianz Arena - will have a new name for the 2025 Champions League final. The regulation has also seen Arsenal have to rename the Emirates whilst in the Champions League. What TV channel will the Champions League final 2025 be on and can it be live streamed? The 2025 Champions League final will be broadcast live on TNT Sports 1. The game will also stream for FREE on the Discovery+ app in the UK. (Image: (Photo by Alain JOCARD / AFP) ) Tennis star Jack Draper plays Joao Fonesca in the third round of the French Open this afternoon. Wimbledon is just around the corner and tennis' elite players are going head-to-head for a big cash prize at Roland Garros. The winners of the women's and men's singles will take home a stunning £2.13 million, with Carlos Alcaraz and Iga Swiatek coming in as defending champions. British number one Draper defeated Gael Monfils in a four-set clash on Thursday night and will play Fonesca at lunchtime on Saturday. ‌ Fonesca is just 18 years old and it's the first time he's ever reached round three of a Grand Slam event, having won his first two games in straight sets. ‌ The pair have already met on the courts, with Draper beating the Brazilian at Indian Wells back in March, where he went on to secure his first ATP Masters title. Draper v Fonesca will be the third match on Court Suzanne-Lenglen on Saturday, with world number one Jannik Sinner coming up against Jiri Lehecka before them, and Mirra Andreeva vs Yulia Putintseva kicking off proceedings at 10am. Depending on the length of those court battles, Draper might not play until 3pm. ‌ Here's everything you need to know about Draper ahead of his third-round match. Astounding According to BBN Times, Draper's net worth is £6million. Despite being only 23 years old, his rise to tennis stardom has been rapid, with his success on the court fuelling his bank balance. ‌ His prize money earnings are just over £5million, and in the Indian Wells Open alone, he took home just shy of £1million. He is sponsored by Nike and Dunlop, who supply his clothing and equipment. He is also an ambassador for Vodafone, who further enhance his financial standing. Love life and Emma Raducanu relationship Draper has spoken openly about dating in the tennis world. ‌ He has spoken about his preference for genuine connections instead of swiping on dating apps, and detailed exactly what he looks for in a partner. "I've been fortunate to forge a few genuinely strong connections with people. For me, what matters most is someone with ambition, their own purpose in life, who is kind, non-judgmental, and upholds strong values," he said. Rumours have circulated about Draper and fellow British tennis star Emma Raducanu, but both athletes have denied such talk, insisting their relationship exists purely on a friendship level. ‌ "She has always been there for me," Draper said to The Times about Raducanu. "I've always been there for her. She's extremely bubbly, very kind, very thoughtful, always giggling, really smart. A really, really, really good girl." American model KT Lordahl was reportedly present at multiple games of Draper's during the US Open last year, but Draper has not confirmed any of those rumours and maintains a closed-off personal life. CEO father Draper's father is Roger Draper - former chief executive of Sport England from 2003 to 2006. ‌ As well as holding that role, Roger was chief executive at the Lawn Tennis Association between 2006 and 2013, as well as spending two years as chief executive of rugby league club Warrington Wolves between 2015 and 2017. During his time with the LTA, Roger helped increase British Tennis memberships by a huge 500%, as well as launching mini-tennis programmes to inspire the next generation of players. Tennis star room-mate Draper has moved in with fellow tennis star Paul Jubb. Article continues below They live in southwest London together, with Draper having moved out of the family home in Surrey. Speaking about being more independent, Draper said: "I'm enjoying being able to wash my own clothes. There's been the odd shrinking disaster, but we're back on track." Room-mate Jubb is from York and is 25 years old. He turned professional in 2020 and so far earned £417,000 in prize money in doubles and singles tournaments. Jubb cut his teeth at South Carolina University from the age of 17, spending three years Stateside before making the jump to professionalism.
