Social media reacts to Alabama baseball's dominant Top 25 road win at Troy On Tuesday night, the Alabama Crimson Tide had easily one of their most impressive road performances of the year so far, routing the Troy Trojans in a Top 25 midweek matchup, 10-2. Coming into Tuesday night's matchup, both the Crimson Tide and Trojans were ranked according the latest USA TODAY Sports College Baseball Coaches Poll, with Troy the higher-ranked of the two at No. 18 nationally. As for Alabama, the Crimson Tide were ranked at No. 20. A result that improved Alabama's record to 37-12 overall, this game was simply all Crimson Tide from the start, as Alabama claimed a sizable lead early that they would never relinquish. This was due to a big first-and-second inning from the Crimson Tide that featured home runs from Justin Lebron and Kade Snell, while Garrett Staton and Coleman Mizell also drove in runs. Snell was also the big story for Alabama in the win, going 4-for-5 with five RBI. The Crimson Tide also received a solid start from right-hander JT Blackwood, pitching three scoreless innings with two hits and two strikeouts. A conference that includes both the 2024 national champion and runner-up, the SEC had numerous teams ranked within the preseason Top 25 of the USA TODAY Sports College Baseball Coaches Poll, as well as six in the Top 10 alone. Since then however, some of those same teams have gone on to see struggles at times, while others from the SEC have seen success, and as a result, rose into the Top 25. So, for the first time this season, let's update our 2025 SEC baseball power rankings entering conference play, with the records mentioned current as of Thursday, March 13. 16.
