Who Is Christopher Briney's Girlfriend, Isabel Machado?
You've probably already heard the news that Gavin Casalegno—aka Jeremiah from The Summer I Turned Pretty—is happily married what about his on-screen brother? As it turns out, Christopher Briney is taken as well, so apologies to all the Conrad supporters out there. So who is Christopher Briney's girlfriend, you ask? Here's everything you need to know about Isabel Machado, who Christopher hard-launched on the red carpet at the 2022 premiere of TSITP. Like Christopher, Isabel is an actor, and she graduated in 2020 from Pace University with a BFA in Acting (which is where she met Christopher, btw!). Per her resume, she's also a trained singer and dancer—plus, she can drive stick shift, which is honestly a flex. As mentioned, Isabel and Christopher met during their time at Pace University—but apparently, they started out as friends. Christopher said of his girlfriend during a 2023 People interview, 'We were friends first. We went to college together and we lived together. We knew that we could do it.' Pls enjoy this throwback pic of Isabel and Christopher when they were ~just friends.~ And this. Oh, and here they are acting together, playing a couple going through a breakup. The talent!! After spending years as friends and roommates, things finally turned romantic in June 2021. Christopher celebrated the occasion one year later with a cute IG pic, which he captioned, 'A whole year!? I could never want anything else.' And more than four years later, the two are still going strong, as evidenced by v cute red carpet photos like these: Can't wait to see these two hit the red carpet again for the season 3 premiere of The Summer I Turned Pretty!!

'The Summer I Turned Pretty' warns fandom to keep itself in check this summer
It's beach read season, and for some, that means a return to Cousins, the fictional seaside town where the teen angst of "The Summer I Turned Pretty" series plays out. Based on the beloved young adult novels by Jenny Han, "TSITP," as it's popularly dubbed, follows Belly Conklin as she navigates a romantic tug of war between the dashing Fisher boys. But it's not all splashy summer fun — series creators issued a foreboding warning this week, imploring fans to refrain from online harassment. 'The Summer I Turned Pretty' Season 3 episodes dropping weekly: See schedule "Cousins is our safe place. Everything is good. Everything is magical," the official social media accounts for the Prime Video series, which is returning for its third and final season, posted July 14. "Let's keep the conversation kind this summer." "We have a ZERO tolerance policy for bullying and hate speech," the statement continued, offering a "community guidelines" rulebook. "If you engage in any of the following you will be banned: Hate speech or bullying. Targeting our cast or crew. Harassing or doxxing members of the community." The warning comes as "Love Island USA," another series that often inspires rabid online discourse, wraps. This season of the reality show was widely viewed as a case study in modern cyber harassment. Books similar to 'The Summer I Turned Pretty': 10 beach romances to pick up next While some internet sleuths dug up legitimate concerns surrounding the "islanders'" past behavior, others took their dislike for contestants to extremes, harassing them and their family members online. The show had to issue several warnings throughout airing to remind viewers that the "islanders" were real people, trading the perils of public consumption for a shot at love (and, let's be real, internet fame). Nevertheless, their shortcomings are not a reason for a torrent of digital hate; the series argued. The creators behind "The Summer I Turned Pretty" appear to be trying to get ahead of the curve, before their fandom devolves into a mud-slinging mess. That the show revolves around a love triangle that has inspired passionate debate since its first episode only adds fuel to the fire. Much like "Twilight," fans take pride in labeling themselves "Team Jeremiah" or "Team Conrad," – but unlike the popular vampire series of the mid-aughts, "TSITP" is premiering against the backdrop of an increasingly opinionated, siloed and cruel digital landscape.

‘The Summer I Turned Pretty' Instagram Warns Against Bullying
Trolls, be warned: The Summer I Turned Pretty's Instagram is ready to shut down any inappropriate behavior—even if it is in the name of fandom. Ahead of season 3, The Summer I Turned Pretty official Instagram issued a warning to fans, asking them not to engage in hate speech, doxxing, or any harassment of stars or fans. 'Cousins is our safe place. Everything good, everything magical. Let's keep the conversation kind this summer,' the show's official account wrote in an Instagram Story shared Monday, July 14. The show then laid out a series of community guidelines, announcing a zero-tolerance policy. These include: No 'hate speech or bullying,' no 'targeting our cast or crew,' and finally, absolutely no 'harassing or doxxing members of the community.' Any user that breaks one of these rules will be banned. Now, you might be thinking that this seems a little too serious for a show that's central conflict is a love triangle between Belly and two brothers, Jeremiah and Conrad. But in today's world of extreme fandom and constant social media debate, you can really never be too careful. (Love Island USA recently had to put out multiple statements asking fans to be nicer to contestants.) And fans do go hard for their fave TSITP ships. Their passion is something star Lola Tung recently commented on in an interview with Teen Vogue. 'When people have an attachment to the characters, they want to see it come together at the end. I'm so grateful that they care so much, but people get a little scary about it,' she said. 'Please don't threaten to kill someone if something doesn't go your way—I promise you, it's not that serious.' Lola added that the fans were in good hands with The Summer I Turn Pretty author Jenny Han running the show. 'Jenny is so smart and she cares so much about the story and making it the best story that it can be. It will be okay,' she added. As long as Belly chooses Conrad, I'm sure she's right. 😉 Season 3 of The Summer I Turned Pretty premieres Wednesday, July 16 on Prime Video.

The Summer I Turned Pretty: Are Belly and Conrad the endgame? This comparison to Audrey Hepburn's Sabrina sparks fan theories
The fans of The Summer I Turned Pretty have been divided into Team Conrad (Christopher Briney) and Team Jeremiah (Gavin Casalegno). Ahead of the release of the third and final chapter in the Prime Video series, fan theories have taken over the web, predicting which Fisher brother Belly (Lola Tung) will choose in the end. In case you need to jog your memory, season 2 of TSITP ended up with Belly and Jeremiah kissing, and a recently released teaser trailer of the new part shows them basking in the happiness of their young and carefree love until… Conrad shows up to shake up their seemingly perfect romance. The teaser trailer further makes the best use of Taylor Swift's songs to perfectly describe Belly's love for Conrad and Jeremiah—while love for Jere was golden like Daylight for Belly, Connie was her Red, with whom she shares a tumultuous past that is as traumatic as it is passionate. The choice of songs signifies that Belly and Jeremiah are everything and more, but the chapter with Conrad is not over. But before this clever detailing in the teaser trailer, the makers dropped another subtle hint about Belly and Conrad's storyline with the first poster of the trio, which fans now believe is inspired by the 1954 film Sabrina, where Audrey Hepburn had to make the same choice as Belly: choose between two brothers. Now, taking a cue from the film, fans have theorised that Belly would end up with Conrad. Scroll ahead to find why. Fans theorise Belly and Conrad are the endgame In the poster for The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 3, Jeremiah is seen planting a kiss on Belly's cheek, while Conrad bears a grim expression as Belly, with a soft smile, gazes into the camera. The poster seems to have been inspired by the film Sabrina, as Audrey Hepburn's character Sabrina is similarly sandwiched between two brothers, Linus Larrabee and David Larrabee. WE ARE SO FUCKING BACK HOLY SHIT Fans believe that not just the poster, but Jenny Han's original book series, which the show is based on, also takes cues from the movie and might wrap up with a similar ending. So what happens in the movie? The 1954 film, based on Samuel Taylor's 1953 play Sabrina Fair, follows Sabrina Fairchild, the youngest daughter of the Larrabee family's chauffeur. All her life, she has been in love with David Larrabee, a three-times-married, non-working playboy who sees Sabrina as a child. But when Sabrina returns from Paris after two years, he sees her in a new light—a young and attractive woman he wants to get close to. However, his marriage has already been fixed to Elizabeth Tyson, a wealthy heiress, to strengthen the business relationship between the two powerful families. So when the older Larrabee brother, Linus, gets wind of David's new romantic pursuits, he tries to intervene to save David's marriage to Elizabeth. He manages to convince David to move forward with his imminent nuptials while taking his place in Sabrina's life. However, during the process, he himself falls in love with her, though he would never admit it. But after a moment of introspection, he decides to stop playing tricks and suggests that David leave with Sabrina for Paris and they get their fairytale ending. However, in the final moments, David decides to ultimately marry Elizabeth, leaving Linus and Sabrina to finally confront their feelings and sail to Paris together. How is the Sabrina movie connected to The Summer I Turned Pretty? Fans have now drawn parallels between Sabrina and The Summer I Turned Pretty, particularly between the characters of David and Jeremiah and Conrad and Linus. Many have theorised that David is like Jeremiah, the nonchalant younger brother who takes it one day at a time, while Conrad is the mirror image of Linus, the responsible older brother who plans ahead. Since in the movie, Sabrina finally sails with Linus, fans believe that Belly will also ultimately choose the older brother, Conrad, in The Summer I Turned Pretty. The Paris Connection There's another connection that is symbolic of The Summer I Turned Pretty's inspiration from Sabrina. So if you have read the book, you would know that Belly leaves her college in Spain and instead moves to Paris. In the movie, Sabrina also returns from Paris and sails to the French city again after finding love in Linus. When and where to watch The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 3? The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 3 comes out on Prime Video on July 16, 2025.
