Man wanted on Canada-wide warrant in connection to Winnipeg murder: police
Paul Xavier Bonnick, 33, is wanted by the police in connection with a Winnipeg homicide. (Supplied: Winnipeg Police Service) The Winnipeg Police Service (WPS) is asking for the public's help in locating a man who is wanted in connection with a homicide back in May. On May 23, 2025, the WPS responded to the 300 block of Cumberland Avenue following a report of an injured man. Officers located a man on the ground who was suffering from serious upper body injuries. He was transported to hospital in critical condition where he succumbed to his injuries. The man was identified as Ralph Moise, 39, a member of Sayisi Dene First Nation residing in Tadoule Lake. A Canada-wide warrant for second-degree murder has been issued for Paul Xavier Bonnick, 33, who is considered a suspect by investigators. The WPS said that Bonnick may be armed and is dangerous and should not be approached. Anyone with information about Bonnick's whereabouts is asked to call the Homicide Unit at 204-986-6508 or Crime Stoppers at 204-786-8477.

A man who died after police found him with serious upper body injuries in Winnipeg's Central Park area last week has been identified. Ralph Moise, 39, was a member of Sayisi Dene First Nation who was living in Tadoule Lake before he died, the Winnipeg Police Service said in a news release on Monday. Police previously said they responded to Cumberland Avenue near Central Park around 1 a.m. on Friday to investigate a report of an injured man. Officers who found the man gave him emergency medical care before he was taken to hospital in critical condition. He was later pronounced dead. Anyone with information about the case is asked to call the Winnipeg Police Service homicide unit at 204-986-6508 or submit information anonymously to Crime Stoppers by calling 204-786-TIPS or using
