BNB Chain News: BNB and Sector Hit ATH as Altcoins Rally

TL;DR: Bull momentum: BTC/ETH near ATHs; altcoins show broad-based strength. BNB Chain mcap $242.8B (+16.3%); BNB, LINK, and SHIB lead. Mid-caps soar; DAAs +15%, TVL +4.8%, DEX volume +12%. It's safe to say the bull market has now begun. Both Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH) are inches from their all-time highs, the CMC Crypto Fear and Greed Index is barely above neutral territory, and altcoins are exploding left, right, and center. With that in mind, let's see how the BNB Chain landscape has shaped up over the last week. BNB Chain Market Recap The BNB Chain ecosystem is exploding. The sector reached a new peak market capitalization (mcap) of $242.8 billion after gaining 16.3% since our last update. Much of this growth was attributed to the stellar performance of the top three assets: BNB (BNB): +11.7% (hitting a new all-time high) Chainlink (LINK): +46.4% Shiba Inu (SHIB): +15.2% The vast majority of prominent BEP-20 tokens are in the green this week, with several among the mid-caps doing awe-inspiring numbers: Codatta (XNY): +291.6% (surge tied to Binance-linked 12-week Booster Campaign) Bio Protocol (BIO): +107% (launch of BIO and BioDAO staking) Cyber (CYBER): +81% (Upbit listing) Tagger (TAG): +67.5% (two-week data-labeling event) siren (SIREN): +63.2% (unclear catalyst) As always, there are still a few stragglers in the top 100 BNB Chain ecosystem tokens by week's worst performers include: Mythos (MYTH): -24.3% Spark (SPK): -23.8% Subsquid (SQD): -18.9% Overall, the sector is demonstrating extraordinary strength, but the underperformance of some tokens reaffirms the need to adapt when tokens no longer fit the narrative. Compared to other L1s, BNB Chain continued to show signs of relative growth. Over the last week, the platform saw a 15% uptick in daily active addresses (DAAs), a 4.8% gain in total value locked (TVL), and a 12% increase in DEX trading volume. Source: Artemis It continues to be one of the most efficient chains in terms of on-chain fee revenue, with 2.3 million DAAs paying a combined total of just $834K in fees. BNB Chain News Roundup It likely comes as no surprise that one of the most bullish weeks on record was also filled with major updates and developments. Below, we cover some of the most significant to bring you up to speed: Kickstart Program Upgraded, LaaS Fully Merged: BNB Chain revamped its Kickstart Program into a one-stop builder hub, merging the LaaS initiative, introducing two tracks (DApp Building & Growth), and connecting projects to 50+ service providers across 18 categories. Binance Futures Adds XNY & AIO Perpetual Contracts: Binance Futures announced USDS-M perpetual contracts for Codatta (XNY) and OlaXBT (AIO) with up to 50x leverage, expanding derivatives access to two BNB-ecosystem AI data projects. Launch: Aug. 13 (UTC). Tagger Inks $5M Enterprise Deal: Tagger finalized a $5M multi-workstream agreement with Stables Money; all data-labeling order payments settle in the USD1 stablecoin on-chain, aligning enterprise AI workflows with crypto rails.
