KOLKATA: Toyota Kirloskar Motor has doubled its volumes in the passenger car market in the east from 14,724 units or 2.9% market share in 2022 to 29,233 units or 5.5% market share in 2025. Last year, TKM sold around 5,556 units in Kolkata and the rest of Bengal. Its sales in the entire east and north-east, comprising 14 states, were around 29,233 units. Apart from Bengal, the TKM's strategic business unit in the east comprises Bihar, Jharkhand, Chattisgarh and Odisha while the SBU in the north-east comprises Assam, Sikkim, Tripura Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Mizoram, Manipur and Andaman & Nicobar.
